About

Nickelback is one of the most commercially successful rock bands in history. Since the release of their breakthrough third album — 2001’s Silver Side Up — the Canadian post-grunge rockers have sold over 50 million albums worldwide, with multiple Top 10 hits, four Grammy nominations, and 12 Juno Awards. Career-defining hits like “How You Remind Me,” “Photograph,” and “Rockstar” have made Nickelback a diamond-certified selling group, and the second best selling foreign act in the U.S. in the 2000s (behind only The Beatles). “How You Remind Me,” a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, was named the most-played song on U.S. radio (in any format) in the 2000s by Nielsen Soundscan. Since forming in 1995 in the town of Hanna in Alberta, Canada, the high-octane rockers have been on 12 consecutive sold-out world tours, playing to over 10 million fans worldwide.

    Nickelback was a disapointment

by kentuckygurl on 8/23/09Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

We were so pumped up to see Nickelback, they are by far our favorite band. You can only imagine our disapointment when they talked (incoheriently) way more than they performed music. They played a song, then talked FOREVER. Not only could we NOT understand what they were saying, they talked WAY TOO MUCH. We paid money to hear their music, not to hear them talk amongs themselves. Very very disapointing.

This was my 16 year old daughter's first concert and my first in along time. Though we missed Saving Abel because of traffic, we both loved the show that Papa Roach, Hinder and Nickelback put on. Very entertaining !!!! Want to see them all again next chance we get ! Thanks !!!

Nickelback - not just a concert but a performance

by TobyLongridge on 8/23/09Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

The entire Nickelback concert, including Saving Abel, Hinder and Papa Roach was really quite extraordinary. First of all, the concert appealed to all ages. It was great seeing all ages rocking and enjoying every band. Second, every band gave 125% for the audience. Nickelback does not get the credit it deserves as a band to watch in the 21st century. They will be up there with Led Zeppelin, the Beatles and the other greats. They were absolutely amazing. Fabulous guitar playing and the drummer, omg what can you say. The Riverbend was a first class stadium and did a fantastic job of controlling the crowds, keeping the peace. I would highly recommend attendance at the Riverbend. It may very well be the only location we attend for a concert.

    Would go again

by Rivgirl on 8/23/09Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

I took my Daughter ,Sister, and my Daughter's friend to see Kickelback .It was my Daughters 14 Birthday present. She and her friend screamed ,danced and had a blast. My sister and I also enjoyed the show. What I didn't like was the short amount of time Saving Abal and Hinder played .I had always wanted to see them and was thrilled when I found out they were playing with Nickelback. We love the music by all 4 Bands. Of course, Nickelback put on a hell of a show.I had seen them and PaPa Roach before and knew they ROCKED! Chad is great .He knows how to work a crowd.

by flakey on 8/22/09Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

listen peeps!!!!! i'm 37 years old, ive been going to concerts since i was 12 and this concert was the most amazing thing that ive seen!!!! of course, everything is better in the pit!!! lol!! I feel like each band complimented each other. It was the first time for me to see hinder and saving able. they were great! I loved the way austin(hinder) and jacoby(papa roach) was so interactive with their fans! they came off the stage and ran around in the crowds and took the time to acknowledge the fans out in the lawn areas! now as far as nickelback, well great light show, awesomw drum solo, the pyrotechnics were off the hook!!!!!the water and beer and shirt launching was the best part of the show!!! I love the way that nickelback interacted with each other and the fans!!!im amazed at their energy for all the shows, I went to two and both were amazing!!! this is the best concert of the year, hands down!!!!my money was very well spent!!!! thank you, nickelback for playing so long!!!! keep using your incredible talent to help us make it thru life and our expereinces. life is hard and you guys make it easier to deal and relate through music.

NICKELBACK & HINDER blew me away!!! =0)

by Tdawgg on 8/22/09Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

I knew this was going to be an awesome night because of the bands involved ... I have seen both Papa Roach & Nickelback many times before, so I was really stoked about seeing Hinder! And they did not disappoint me at all ... THEY FREAKING BLEW ME AWAY!!! I'm sad to say we didn't get there in time to see Saving Abel, I love their music, and was looking forward to it, but some things happen ... The only other bummer for the night was that it was so freaking HOT ... show had to be a sell-out because there were so many people there which made it seem even hotter! I will definitely go see ALL of these bands again. =0)

    Nickleback was amazing!!!!!

by 1Nickelfan on 8/22/09Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

We arrived too late to listen to Saving Able, but Papa Roach and Hinder were GREAT!!! Everybody though Papa Roach had a better stage presence, but Hinder rocked as well. When Nickelback came on stage it was MAGIC!! Their stage and lighting was one of the best set-ups I have ever seen!! From the first song, "Something in your mouth" to the last, "Animal" Chad's vocals were insane!!! He took time to talk to the sold out crowd, which I love because it's more personable that just some guy/girl singing a line of songs and walking off the stage. It was very obvious that NIckelback was having fun . They brought out the backstage crew, shot t-shirts and water canons in the air, passed out beer to the lucky up-front stage audience and really had a fun time doing it. At one point Chad took a camera from a fan and took THEIR picture and gave it back to the girl. I've been to so many concerts (AC/DC was the last one) where the crew/security took cameras from the fans and yelled at others for their picture phones. Nickelback was a very fan friendly group who performed ALL of their songs with a lot of heart, fun and an amazing stage show. I can't wait until they come back again...this time I will have better seats!!!!

    Nickelback

by Hudy on 8/22/09Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

AWESOME! Enjoyed all of the bands, loved the rocking songs, thought specifically Nickelback's lead Chad interacted great with the crowd and gave us a lot of songs to enjoy...the rest of the band could be a lot more participative - Chad tried to bring them into the conversation on stage - they were pretty stiff. Was located on the lawn at Riverbend, Cincinati, OH for the performance. In the lawn the band was VERY difficult to see beyond the pavillion's pillars. I would suggest more monitors for the lawn and to share some of what is viewed on the monitors that are on stage that are shared with the pavillion crowd with the lawn too... We only were shown the camera views of the performers on stage and would have enjoyed the monitors to be alternated between what was on stage and what was on the stages monitor being shown too. I thought Nickelback spent too much time with the pavillion crowd...handing out beers, spraying water into their seats and shooting free gifts out to the pavillion ONLY audience. Lawn felt very neglected and bored as the pavillion received all of the attention. There was too much time spent introducing all six cannoners shooting shirts out to the groud, waiters serving cocktails to the band members - we could have cared less. LOVE YA' Nickelback - it was one HELL OF A SHOW!!!

    Nickleback-you talked too much

by Bick on 8/22/09Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

Puddle of Mud and Hinder warm up bands were excellent. They rocked hard and put every ounce of energy into thier show. Nickelback on the other hand seemd tired and worn out by the heat and humidity. The lead singer talked way too much. He is not that entertaining. IHe has three topics: 1. How hot it was and how he was going to cool off. 2. Drinking beer and smoking pot. 3. His not so glory days. If I were interested in a ametuer comic I would have gone to a comedy club. The songs the band manged to get into the shoe were good---but cetainly not worth the $70.00 ticket. Nickelback ---warm up for hinder and I will attend next year. If you are only going to do an hour of rock, the warm up role is where you need to be.
