About

NICK OFFERMAN & MEGAN MULLALLY LIVE:

After a dozen years of marriage, comedy super couple Nick Offerman & Megan Mullally have turned their raunchiest and funniest personal experiences into their new stage show Summer of 69: No Apostrophe. Known for delivering the laughs on shows like Will & Grace and Parks and Recreation, the pair makes it personal in this variety show by offering a rare glimpse into what goes on behind closed doors in their captivating and adventurous relationship. In addition to endless laughs ticket buyers will receive life lessons, ribald songs, and classic gags all in equal measure. Summer of 69: No Apostrophe is touring select cities across America to make all of your hilarious fantasies come true.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman initially hit it off while the two were working on The Berlin Circle, a play that ran in Los Angeles in 2000.  After a couple of warm-up years, the comedic duo was wed and they haven’t looked back since. Initially more established than Offerman, Mullally helped him transition to television acting with a guest spot on her long-running sitcom Will & Grace. After Offerman landed the role of Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation, he repaid the favor by recommending her for the role of his character’s bizarrely sexual ex-wife. As his star has risen in recent years the two have found more opportunities to work together, including the films Smashed (2012) and The Kings of Summer (2013). In fact, the couple devised Summer of 69: No Apostrophe as a way to tour together and avoid the time apart that usually comes when trying to coordinate two successful acting careers.

If you like to laugh, GO!

by YouCanBeAChampion on 4/27/15The Masonic - San Francisco

GREAT STUFF!!! 2 down to earth people who aren't afraid to poke fun at themselves (or say anything, really) to entertain the audience. Almost 2 hours of big out loud laughing! SO FUNNY to see Nick Offerman maintaining his stoic "Swanson-like" demeanor for 90% of the show, despite the outrageously funny words coming out of their mouths ... and then flipping the switch at select times to giggle, dance, skip, and playfully frolic like an uncontrollable school boy.

    Hilarious

These two put on a great show. Their stories were very funny and they way they played off of each other made if even more entertaining. Would for sure go see them again.

First titme we walked out on a show!!

by nylalas on 4/27/15House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Show was awful. We knew it would be raunchy but expected it to be funny as well. The jokes all landed flat. This is the first time I can remember walking out on a show. They had a lot of nerve charging what they did for this show and those seats!!!!I wish I had had the guts to ask for my money back!!!

    Don't waste your money

by Rav44me on 4/27/15House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The show was boring. It almost seemed like it was a rehearsal versus an actual show. They literally had a script book in front of them and used it often. At times they would forget where in the show or the joke or the song they were and had to start over. What a waste of time and money.

Wasn't what we expected but we had fun. Good time.

Nick and Megan are funny and talented people, however, the raunchiness got old after the first number. Surprised that more people didn't get up and walk out of the theatre. Waste of $50.

A Fun Evening With Nick and Megan

by AZScott on 4/26/15Comerica Theatre - Phoenix

The show was a little bit of what I expected but that was the great part of it, I didn't fully know what to expect. I think some people did expect a full-out stand up comedy routine from Nick and Megan. A number of people left early, including the couple next to my wife and I. What Nick and Megan did though was put on a risque but funny and surprisingly heartfelt show. They were crude at times but it is clear they share the same sense of humor and love each other to death because of it. Just a fun evening to be in their presence.

    Summer of 69 was Fun

by Writingmom on 4/26/15Comerica Theatre - Phoenix

The show was a mix of sexually explicit songs and jokes. Basically, they are taking you through their sex life. (Ok, a version of their sex life.) Only attend if you are not offended by extremely graphic sexual jokes. There is also a song that is a combination sexual/religious joke (I won't spoil it here but if you can't laugh at a very explicit, religious sex joke, do yourself a favor and pass on this or you will walk out). I enjoyed it very much. I went with a girlfriend, not my husband, and we laughed a lot. My husband would have liked it, too, though.

    Don't waste your money.....

by judy777 on 4/25/15House of Blues - Las Vegas

I was so excited to see this show but, I don't know what to say other than it was just plain bad. It wasn't funny nor entertaining. Living in Las Vegas I see shows all the time and this is only the 2nd time that I have walked out of a show. I saw several people walking out, not a good sign. Sorry to report...spend your money elsewhere.

I think it would have been better in a smaller more intimate setting.

    A super fun show

by smithe2383 on 4/22/15Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts - New Orleans

I had a great time at this show. Megan and Nick performed songs together and it was hilarious. The only negative part of the show was when they pulled a woman out of the audience. The audience member was obnoxious, rude and tried to be funnier than Megan. I was ready to walk out but luckily she was kicked off the stage "based purely off (her) personality", according to Megan. With that exception the show was great and I would definitely recommend it.

    Great show, horrible visuals

by Jordan4982 on 4/22/15Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts - New Orleans

The show itself was amazing. Nick and Megan are wonderful and so down to earth. However, the lighting was so bright on them on the stage you could barely make out their faces. Visually, not good. Could have just listened to the whole thing.

    A waste of talent

by pirate47 on 4/22/15Bayou Music Center - Houston

These two could/should be hilarious, based upon TV shows and interviews I've seen and heard. But I was so distracted by their need to read their on-stage scripts word for word that I could not appreciate whatever feeble humor was being imparted. Don't mind the bawdiness, but literally reading 90% of the material, even to the extent that punch lines were re-phrased mid-sentence to meet the script: come on!

Exeeded my expectations 10 times over

by peacenrknrll on 4/22/15Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts - New Orleans

I am not a huge fan of Offerman's standup, but he and Megan together were unstoppable. Their jokes and poking fun at each other kept me laughing. The songs were a little hard to understand sometimes, but mostly it was all genius. So glad I took a leap of faith on these tickets, hilarious show! :0) I did have a co-worker's girlfriend who wasn't too fond of the show because of the raunchiness, but with a name like "Summer of 69" and the show summary, how could you not except debauchery and offensive jokes?!

Great to see, but a little crude!

by ShelbyGTmustang on 4/21/15Bayou Music Center - Houston

Loved watching Parks & Rec. bought these tickets for me & my boyfriend who thinks Nick Offerman is a badass. When the show started they started with Summer of '69 and they changed the words to be very very crude. Not a big fan of all the "sex talk", I mean I know some is funny, but I think this time was a little much. Great to see them both, just was not expecting such a focus on sex.

Horrible. Don't waste your time and money.

by NickPage1 on 4/21/15Bayou Music Center - Houston

Not only were they not funny, they seemed as if they were reading from a script. We (our group of 7) eventually walked out. Worst show ever.

    A bit disappointing

by bornondating911 on 4/21/15Bayou Music Center - Houston

Venue: I usually enjoy catching shows at this venue. The lines for the bars were very long. They did have an additional "bar" added at the merch booth, but this did not seem to be enough. Perhaps having another bartender or 2 would help the massively long lines. Act: As many others I really love Nick Offerman in Parks and Recreation. I have also read his book, Paddle Your Own Canoe. I was overall disappointed with this act. I was expecting a husband/ wife comedy show much like a stand up comics performance. The songs were a bit cheesy and not well rehearsed. The dialogue appeared to be being read from a script versus being ad lib or rehearsed from memory. If you are a fan I would recommend just watching Nick on TV and not waste your time going to see them.
