About

NICK OFFERMAN & MEGAN MULLALLY LIVE:

After a dozen years of marriage, comedy super couple Nick Offerman & Megan Mullally have turned their raunchiest and funniest personal experiences into their new stage show Summer of 69: No Apostrophe. Known for delivering the laughs on shows like Will & Grace and Parks and Recreation, the pair makes it personal in this variety show by offering a rare glimpse into what goes on behind closed doors in their captivating and adventurous relationship. In addition to endless laughs ticket buyers will receive life lessons, ribald songs, and classic gags all in equal measure. Summer of 69: No Apostrophe is touring select cities across America to make all of your hilarious fantasies come true.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman initially hit it off while the two were working on The Berlin Circle, a play that ran in Los Angeles in 2000.  After a couple of warm-up years, the comedic duo was wed and they haven’t looked back since. Initially more established than Offerman, Mullally helped him transition to television acting with a guest spot on her long-running sitcom Will & Grace. After Offerman landed the role of Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation, he repaid the favor by recommending her for the role of his character’s bizarrely sexual ex-wife. As his star has risen in recent years the two have found more opportunities to work together, including the films Smashed (2012) and The Kings of Summer (2013). In fact, the couple devised Summer of 69: No Apostrophe as a way to tour together and avoid the time apart that usually comes when trying to coordinate two successful acting careers.

    Highly recommend!

by Jay2222 on 8/30/16The Grand Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - Mashantucket

The show was at Foxwoods casino. It's a smaller venue so each seat is a decent seat. The show was great. They are perfect together. I've seen Nick's stand up special and this was by far 10x funnier.

    Amaze-balls

"Because Cool people don't review things online" The two of them had me dying of laughter from start to finish. People with no sense of humor rate this show terribly. Nick and Megan were amazing!

Nick & Megan had us laughing, thinking and being crude - which I know is a trifecta they would be proud of! I thought the show was hysterical and I'd see them again and again.

Overall funny. Would have preferred less song and more story telling.

    9/11 not comic fodder

by AnnieJG on 8/28/16Beacon Theatre - New York

Early in the show, there was a joke "about joking about 9/11." There is nothing even remotely funny about 9/11. Period. And to have that put out there, in NYC, where we live with the loss of our friends and neighbors, where we see memorials in every town around the area (NJ, CT, outer boroughs) soured the show for me. I emailed Nick's woodshop, was told by Lee that was for woodshop inquiries only, so I asked if they could forward or give me a suitable email, Haven't heard back. Otherwise, the show was funny at times, decent improv, but some predictability.

    Less than junior high humor

by jkiller on 8/27/16The Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater - Syracuse

SO disappointing!! They are both such talented actors and I expected a much higher level of comedy. It's pretty sad when a 46 year old man talks about his 'dick' in the first few minutes of the show. Raunch in a really stupid way. They are better than that .

Literally was keeled over laughing hysterically for a solid hour and a half. Nick and Megan are absolutely incredible performers and engage their audience impeccably.

Wasn't expecting so much singing. Didn't find them very funny as a duo, which is surprising because I've always enjoyed seeing them on TV.
