I had never seen Nick Cave. He blew me away. So emotional and the songs are wonderfully written and performed. Warren Ellis on keyboards and electric violin…..fabulous and unique.
Nick Cave was great as always. But the lack of any COVID19 safety measures made me very uneasy. No vaccine requirement, no mask requirement. The case numbers are going up in NYC, especially in Manhattan. The pandemic is not over yet. Definitely will not go to other events without requirement for proof of vaccination.
Kings Theatre is a beautiful place! I loved being there. Nick Cave did not disappoint. He is a really great performer and I am so grateful he decided to do a US tour.
Very Intimate. Nick cave and Warren Deliver everything that you would expect. Do not expect a Badseeds rock show.
Easily one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. I was in tears at 4 separate moments.
Nick Cave never disappoints. The concert was beautifully curated with excellent musicians and Cave was present with the audience and even engaged in a bit of banter. Kings Theatre is an amazing venue - so beautiful and historical.
The Kings theatre is a classic old venue, much like the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan. The only problem is there aren’t any nice restaurants or bars nearby to meet at before the show.

The concert was beautiful and the music was inspiring, enlightening, and soulful. Nick Cave is like a preacher- though his music he inspires people like a modern Socrates. The concert was exciting and thrilfull. After completing the planned set list, the audience wanted more and the ensemble came back for an additional four songs and then again for four more. It was beautiful and each one of the songs was so good to hear. One of the best concerts ever!
I'll be honest: I haven't been the biggest fan of the last 3 Nick Cave albums. I missed the piano ballads and the familiar song structures from his 90s work. But having now seen those songs performed live I have a new appreciation. What seemed like spoken-word rambles recorded now are dramatic readings to a captive audience. The eerie background harmonies and stellar light show really set the mood, and it's clear Nick has such command of the stage. Some of the songs brought tears to my eyes; others sent chills down my spine. I can't recommend the show highly enough.
The other reviewers are completely right. My personal highlight was cover of Cosmic Dancer by T-Rex. Absolutely stunning cover that knocked me cold. Spinning Song, Bright Horses, and Night Raid were close in sheer beauty. No opening act or intermission. Incredibly personable with audience. Told us that his son might be moving to Boston and asked for opinions from audience. Very funny with the banter. Theatre had acoustics that cannot be duplicated. Balcony Man was rousing closer of main set before encores. I felt it was a throwaway song -- but in context of concert made sense for pacing. Again very funny. Bravo!!!
The Nick Cave-Warren Ellis concert in Boston (3-22) was a concert that transcended my expectations. One of the most powerful performances I've ever seen.
First Nick Cave show ever…what a performance, and performer! He was super charged the entire show, engaging with the audience…he put on a 2 hour 20 minute show that included an unheard of 2 curtain calls. Tremendous night, experience and memory
I have seen Nick Cave with the Bad Seeds twice, but this was so far the best concert ever. The location was amazing, the sound impressive and both Nick Cave and Warren Ellis incredible! I will remember forever this concert because it has been one of the best experiences of my life. Can’t wait to see them again soon. ❤️
This venue is one of the best places to see an act like Nick Cave, pretty much a religious experience.
Beautiful lobby, nice seats, helpful ushers. Nick Cave and Warren Ellis didn't disappoint in spite of my very high expectations. It was a great show. The set list included a few old gems in amongst newer songs from Carnage and Ghosteen. The backup singers in their Vampire's Wife silk robes (for the ladies) and shirt (for the gent) were spectacular and the encore duet breathed new life into "Henry Lee," which has never been a personal favorite, but came off brilliantly. "White Elephant" was not surprisingly a highlight. Nick Cave embodies the joyous and malevolent energy of the music he makes when he takes the stage. Warren Ellis is a worthy collaborator. There was no tedious opening act and no useless intermission. They played three encores. If only all shows could be this uplifting and satisfying.
I should have prepared myself by being a little more familiar with the newer music/collaboration with Warren Ellis... but... seeing Nick Cave LIVE has been a lifelong dream for me. This Bucket List item was worth all the effort. It was a beautiful show. Mesmerizing. Wonderful.
I travel 4500 miles to see this gig . Thanks Cave and band this is phenomenom;)
Amazing show, but i have no idea how to get my VIP "schwag"
