Niall Horan on Tour

As a member of the mega boy band One Direction, Niall Horan honed his stage presence in big venues, first on the UK edition of The X Factor and then in front of stadiums packed with screaming fans. His affable personality shines through no matter the size of his audience, and his songs sparkle whether he's backed by a band onstage or simply strumming his acoustic guitar solo.

When Niall Horan was 11, his brother gave him a guitar for Christmas. He didn't take to it right away, but he kept at it, using online tutorials and becoming adept enough at the instrument to impress his family members and people in his hometown of Mullingar, Westmeath, Ireland. Horan tried out for the seventh season of the UK's The X Factor and was eventually put together with Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson to form a band, One Direction. The group quickly took over The X Factor under Simon Cowell's guidance, and even though they finished in third place, they became one of the true megastar acts to come from the show, selling out stadiums and causing fan frenzies around the world.

One Direction went on hiatus after the release of their fifth album Made in the A.M. in 2015, and Horan began his solo career in late 2016 with the sweet single "This Town," which he followed up with the slinky, blues-inspired "Slow Hands." His first solo album, Flicker, came out in 2017 to great reviews, topping charts around the world and showing off his appreciation of folk-rock acts like The Eagles and modern country artists like Maren Morris, with whom he duetted on the scruffy "Seeing Blind." In 2020 Horan released his second album, Heartbreak Weather, which added synths to his pop-rock mix.

    Saw Niall at Jingleball 2019. He was incredible! He also performed with Lewis Capaldi. They were very entertaining. 10/10 would see again. So sad the Heartbreak Weather tour was put off.

    Niall is such a great live performer. One of the best concerts I’ve ever been too. He talks to the crowd and sounds so good live. I’m constantly checking Ticketmaster to see if he’s going another show. Such a bummer the nice to meet ya world tour got canceled. I will definitely always will go his concerts.     Definitely one of the best concerts that i have ever been to. He sounds exactly like he does on his CD and you can tell that he appreciates you paying your money to see him. Also we got very good seats for a low price. I would definitely go see him again.

    I've been a one direction fan since 2011. To this day, I am so grateful for all of the guys. They've always made me so happy and made me feel like I had a community of people who cared for me and loved me. Seeing Niall live is such an exciting, meaningful experience for me. He's an incredible person, both as a musical artist and a human being. I am forever proud of him.

    Niall James fing Horan puts on the best live performance ever! I saw him for flicker and let me tell u this man can make you cry, laugh, and smile all at once. He really made everyone feel welcome by telling jokes and having us sing along. My favorite part was when he sang old 1d song( yes I sobbed). The merch was also affordable compared to a lot of artist👀. Can’t wait to see him in 2022❤️

    Niall was the best concert I’ve ever been to. The venue (South Side Ballroom) was perfect and kind of intimate for such a big celebrity. He made everyone laugh and it was such an amazing experience. I definitely recommend he’s such a great person!

    A Night to Remember (Flicker Tour)

    When going to the BOK Center in Tulsa, we got in line early. Although our seats were saved we wanted to be there early for the rush of hearing Niall. Once they opened the doors we went in and purchased merchandise from the tablet they had setup in the main lobby. They had a variety of larger sizes (3xl) and I appreciated that because not a lot of people think about them. Next, we sat down and the lights went out. For his Flicker Tour, he had his initials in lights and it was a great concert. The seats I had were not ground floor but close enough I felt like he was talking to me. My favorite part of the tour is when he began singing "Flicker" and told us to close our eyes for the song. I cried like a baby and even met Maren Morris outside in the back of the stadium. I wished Niall came out but I could have sworn I saw him enter the bus. Eitherway, I hope to be back for his next tour. I went to a virtual concert for him and fell even more in love. 1D Forever!!!
