About

For the first time in League history, the National Hockey League (NHL) will host outdoor hockey in Florida. Celebrating the explosive growth of hockey in Florida over the last three decades, the League will stage two outdoor games in the Sunshine State during the 2025-26 season with the Tampa Bay Lightning hosting the Boston Bruins in the 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 1, 2026.

The 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series is the Lightning's second outdoor game appearance, and the Bruins' sixth. Tampa Bay scored a 3-2 victory over the Nashville Predators at Nissan Stadium in Nashville at the 2022 NHL Stadium Series while Boston owns a 4-1 record in outdoor games dating back to the 2010 NHL Winter Classic, a 3-2 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers at Fenway Park.

  • The good and the bad

by Besworkman on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

The game was good, not counting who won. The audio setup was horrible, stacks of speakers on the field that sounded horrible. Who ever was on the audio system couldn't get any of the talking or music right, it was hard to hear everything. The view was good for the game.

  • Electric!

by Marky mark on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

What an event. Never been to something so electric and fun in my life, including devils beating the rangers in the playoffs. This place had everything. Seeing the Stanley cup in person was a bucket list goal. Bravo MetLife and LETS GO DEVILS!

  • One of a kind experience!

  • Great game! Corny "garden"theme

by Ortley Guy on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

Access t the parking lots took forever! One hour from the turnpike exit to our parking spot is too long!!! The game was great fun. The venue was well prepared. Food and drink selection was very good. The "garden"theme was corny and unnecessary. What was the point of the guy walking around in a Rangers jersey pushing a bicycle at a Devils Flyers game? ...and the woman pushing a baby carriage was a little weird too. The Jonas Brothers music was good, but the backlit stage made it impossible to see the bad at all. A better stage set up is needed.

  • Wonderful experience!

by Deb Luc on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

Had such a wonderful time with the family enjoyed the pregame concert and the game! The energy in the stadium was fantastic. Our seats were great, the fans were all gracious! And the Devils won.

  • Great game, bad sound, pregame let down

by Phil on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

So overall it was a great time and the game itself was genuinely a fun well played game. My problems came mainly from the pregame and then the sound at the game and concerts. The pregame was ok, the tents did have some interesting activities, the band was good, food was served in good portions for the price, and I had a good meet and greet. It just felt like it was low effort after that, there was no seating near the stage, or benches to relax on. Then there were no tables near the food providers, not even some high tops to stand at. It just seemed uninviting and after doing everything there, it felt better to go and wait by the car for the gates to open. Also, while getting off the highway to Meadowlands has gotten so much better over the years, getting to parking was not. There were no signs directing cars to which lots they wanted, since there was VIP, Paid and Public lots, but there was no signage designating them. During the concerts, the sound was terrible. All I could hear was the sub bass during the Jonas Bros and Drums during Gaslight Anthem. I was in section 126 in the endzone. It sounded like either it was mixed improperly or the PAs facing our sections had only the subwoofers working. During the game, I couldn't understand a word of what the on field reporters were saying into there mics. Then any prerecorded songs played during the game sounded farty. I still had a great time, just wished it could have been better.

  • Bring More Stadium Series to MetLie

    by Fluid32 on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

What an incredible experience I shared with my 15 year old daughter. We hope MetLife will host many more Stadium Series.

  • Freezing cold but fun

by Desert Dude on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

Good time...tailgates, facility, game were all excellent. Weather was a bit cold. I wasn't drunk enough to warm up and be able to overcome the COLD temp.

  • Great Night

by NJD FAN ERIC on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

Cold weather aside we all had a great night at the stadium. The pregame events were entertaining, the game was awesome, and the crowd was very friendly. Fans of both clubs got along well (at least in the sections around our seats). Finally the traffic leaving the stadium was not as bad as leaving other events we’ve attended at Met Life. We would definitely love to watch hockey again at the stadium.

  • Devils Hockey @ MetLife Stadium

by Live Music Fan on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

What an awesome experience - being back at the Meadowlands, pulling into the Lot and seeing a Sea of Devils Red, Tailgating before the game like we always used to, the 🇺🇸 unfurling on the ice with Fighter Jets & Fireworks overhead while 70,000 sang the Star Spangled Banner, 2 Concerts by the Jo Bros - they were great & would see them again, all capped off by a Devils Win. I was there at the Meadowlands for the 2 Stanley Cup Wins. This Outdoor game was right up there with that. Fantastic experience from start to end. NHL, please do it again next year!

  • I can’t hear you!

by ThatHockeyFan on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

The game itself was amazing. The audio at the stadium was awful. Everything was muffled sounding. Not enough merchandise to purchase. Seats are too cramped.

  • Outstanding

by Devils Fan 08807 on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

The energy was intense, which overcame the liability of revelry ice hockey event: the distance from the rink. The involvement of 70,000 fans was more than compensating.

  • NHL Stadium Series at MetLife in New Jersey

by WKRPetey on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 3 out of 5

Paid a lot of $$$ for tickets & travel and saw less than half the goals scored & missed a ton of the game :( The amount of people coming and going from their seats during gameplay needs to be addressed. Our view was consistently blocked. Used to be an usher held people from entering the seating area until there was a stoppage or people had the common decency to wait to leave their seat until a stoppage. A very frustrating black mark on another wise great event.

  • Devils Stadium Series

by Geosports on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

It was such a fun night of hockey under a clear sky, and a half moon with temperatures hovering around 20° that it couldn’t be spoiled by the obscene merchandise prices! This was my second outdoor game and the best one of the two. I was in Philadelphia for the winter classic in 2012. These events are more of a celebration of hockey, and I highly recommend people get to attend at least one of these. That the devils beat up Philadelphia was a cherry on top!

  • Stadium series

by Mr. Buzzkill on 2/20/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 2 out of 5

Cold. Bad sight lines. My seat was middle lower bowl. Could not see the pucks going into the nets. Same people in the row having to leave 3X a period. Felt like I missed half the game. NHL announcers were horrible. referees looked to be paid for by someone as too many calls were missed or no calls. For what I paid, I Would not do this again. One and done.
