About

For the first time in League history, the National Hockey League (NHL) will host outdoor hockey in Florida. Celebrating the explosive growth of hockey in Florida over the last three decades, the League will stage two outdoor games in the Sunshine State during the 2025-26 season with the Tampa Bay Lightning hosting the Boston Bruins in the 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 1, 2026.

The 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series is the Lightning's second outdoor game appearance, and the Bruins' sixth. Tampa Bay scored a 3-2 victory over the Nashville Predators at Nissan Stadium in Nashville at the 2022 NHL Stadium Series while Boston owns a 4-1 record in outdoor games dating back to the 2010 NHL Winter Classic, a 3-2 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers at Fenway Park.

  • Columbus Blue Jackets outside at the Horse Shoe

by Coop on 3/25/25Ohio Stadium - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing game! I'm glad I got tickets for it, and everyone else who went with me loved the game and had a wonderful time! It was fun to go see the Columbus Blue Jackets take on the Detroit Red Wings outside at Ohio Stadium. If they do this again I will be going! It was awesome watching the Ohio State University Marching Band TBDBITL script Ohio on the ice and seeing Stinger and Brutus walking around having some fun during the game! CBJ with the win, Go Jackets!

  • Disappointing

by Disappointed Fan on 3/17/25Ohio Stadium - ColumbusRating: 1 out of 5

Myself, as well as all others in our group were disappointed. With wind chills it was 17° outside. Cold temps were to be expected, but to start the game more than 30 minutes late in those conditions was unacceptable. That aside, we attended a NHL hockey game, not a celebration of OSU! As far as the intermission show, you could hardly even hear what NB was playing. Disappointing that Red Wings lost, but the overall experience was a miserable one.

  • Great Experience - NEEDS Improvement

by RD on 3/10/25Ohio Stadium - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Truly was an event of a lifetime and a great experience. OSU ran a very good parking experience (other than loading the parking pass into Apple Wallet required the OSU app only to go through Ticketmaster only to load to phone - very unnecessary to require the app). The maps were good for the most part. The entrance into OSU stadium was very smooth and went well (even thought it was extremely congested inside). The entrance into the outdoor pregame entertainment was too small and limited. We missed the pre-concert due to the extensive line at the Stanley Cup but we were thrilled to have our pictures taken there. We could not see ANY of the jumbo screen in our seat location and the sound was very muted in our seats. The tv's mounted in our area did not display the same things as the jumbo screen and the tv's were too small to really see anything. The interview with Johnny Hockey's wife was not played for the crowd at the game. That was extremely disappointing - good thing I recorded. Leo always sings the National Anthem for CBJ and he should have had the honor of singing it with the OSU Band at the Stadium. The ESPN announcers or the game announcer was very muffled and hard to understand. The typical Whoa.. song played by CBJ when they scored was not played by the band (or not played well). That was disappointing. Remember it was a CBJ HOME GAME. The ESPN reporter interviewed the CBJ player straight through the announcing of the three stars. The CBJ player even missed his recognition!! That was ridiculous She could have waited for the interview. That was an honor after an important game that the CBJ player missed out on due to her continuing to interview him. He could barley focus on her questions because he knew he was missing it (go back and watch the interview). Due to her interview you could not even here the three stars being announced. The shops ran out of scarves and blankets (very cold day but also a great souvenir for the game). I cannot believe Jetts Pizza was not served considering Jetts is sponsor of CBJ (not at pregame or in game). The food selection was very poor. Finally, I am still shocked and disappointed that there was no free giveaway for such a major event!!

  • Stadium Series Game

by Don on 3/9/25Ohio Stadium - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Overall the experience of the game was awesome. This was my first outdoor hockey game I've attended and will be looking forward to the next one. Areas of improvement, not many activities for family (kids and young adults) prior to the game. More games or giveaways for the kids. More concessions outside to purchase drinks, food and more porta potty the lines were very long. In the stadium food and drink pricing was too expensive. There was no list of food available, no price list of what anything cost. More concessions and restrooms in the stadium. Parking, was very difficult to get to with the road closures and exiting after the game was a nightmare. I understand that there are a lot of cars leaving the area, however we set in the parking garage for over an hour before we moved 10 feet.

  • Frostbite

by EagleEye on 3/6/25Ohio Stadium - ColumbusRating: 2 out of 5

So the venue was pretty cool and the game was exciting to watch, but it was so cold it made it very hard to concentrate and enjoy the game. There were people were hanging out in the bathrooms because that was the only place with heaters, caused extremely long lines. A lot of people left during the 2nd period. Wind in the stadium was brutal.

  • Great Time

  • NHL experience

    by N/A on 3/6/25Ohio Stadium - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

I went to the game with several friends and family. The atmosphere was fantastic! The game was fantastic! We felt that the NHL experience events should have been placed in the parking areas right next to the stadium. The tailgaters could have been put in the st John’s arena lot. That way everything “NHL” would have been in one central location.
