It features a score by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast) and Jack Feldman (The Lion King II: Simba's Pride) and a book by Harvey Fierstein (La Cage Aux Folles), with choreography by Christopher Gattelli (South Pacific) and direction by Jeff Calhoun (Big River).

The choreography and dancing was the highlight of the show. All the performances were strong and all of the technical aspects worked very well together. It was difficult to find flaw with this show unless you look at the details of every minutia.
The show was filled with such amazing talent! The dancing blew us away. The show was much better than we ever expected.

We loved this from the beginning! Loved all the dancing, singing, storyline and acting. The stage props were wonderful and creative. We took our niece to this as her first musical, she loved it!
I've seen this show 12 times, and it keeps getting better. Seriously the best show I've ever seen. I'm heartbroken it's closing!
Spectacular show! This was my 15 year old's first Broadway production to see. She smiled through it's entirety! She said it was much better than she had anticipated. It's a definite recommendation for all to see!
The large male chorus carried the show. Young boys in the audience seemed intrigued. Interesting the young girls were not as enthused. The history of the story was very well presented.
A wonderful Disney presentation of a real event in our history. Dancing is phenomenal. Only cynics would not enjoy the story and even they would enjoy the songs and dancing.

Aahhh this performance and cast were phenomenal. Jordan Samuels as Specs is the new love of my life - Keep an eye out for the best acrobatics and that's him! I took my sister to see this for her birthday and we both left there even more obsessed with Newsies

We were first-timers with Newsies, and there could not have been a better cast! The energy level was so high, the choreography was outstanding, and it was such a fun play! We were so impressed with the staging; the way in which things moved around quickly was amazing. All the dancers were excellent. Very entertaining!!!!

This was my 4th time seeing the show, and it was the best one out of those 4. The cast was unbelievable and so talented. They put on an incredible show, and never cease to amaze me.
I watched the movie growing up and was so excited to see that the Broadway show was coming my way. The singing was in point and the dancing was AMAZING!!! I LOVED LOVED LOVED the show. Would see it a million more times. Great job guys.
Based on fact, this story is fun for all. The dancing and singing are incredible. Wasn't sure I would love it and left feeling it was absolutely amazing.
Having worked in audio/ visual production for the past 7 years, I have to say this show was amazing to watch. The way they used the "fire escape" set pieces in EVERY scene was very cool and flawlessly done. The boys themselves are very, very talented. Vocals, jumps, flips; flawless. Would go see this production again in a heartbeat.
