  • Great game to watch

by FloridaKiwi on 11/4/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Great game to watch but it would have been better with a more informed commentary. The commentator did not have a good knowledge of rugby so was not able to inform the nature of on field decisions. He also didn't pronounce the names of many of the payers correctly. I also had difficulty finding restrooms. There is poor (no!) indicating directions.

  • a poor experience

by TB on 11/4/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 2 out of 5

View was constantly being interrupted by beer hotdog, cocktail vendors The transport to and from soldier field is shockingly poor. The stadium couldn’t get the replay on the screens. AND $32 for 2 beers is a joke. Won’t be back.

  • Great occasion, experience not so much

    by Brendan M on 11/4/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

Weekend in Chicago was great and great to see so many fans of both teams sporting their colors around town all weekend. The build up was there and hype was to be expected. Soldier Field is an impressive and iconic stadium. However the details were sadly lacking. My understanding is this was an All Blacks event. They have to be capable of doing better. Stadium announcer obviously had no clue of the game of rugby - "the kick is no good" Compare to France (WC) where the stadium seemed to know the best songs to get the atmosphere dialed up, Soldier Field just kept playing NFL style techno music and drowning out any attempt by fans to sing. Someone forgot to tell the stadium AV guys that the refs need the TMP video on the big screen. I recognize that NFL uses small pitchside screens but this is not NFL Ref was not miced up - we had no idea what was going on with the Beirne Yellow Card/ Red Card. I shouldn't have to be connecting with family on WhatsApp to hear what's being reviewed. Merchandise opportunities were extremely limited. I saw no Ireland merch for sale May want to reconsider Soldier field as a venue. The under stand concourses were dangerously crammed at HT. Crush was considerable. Pitch was threadbare and the NFL markings were visible Attention to detail was poor. Respect the fans. They paid a lot of money to get there from NZ, Ireland and all over the USA.

  • A Bisit to Soldier Field

by CG on 11/4/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

Great location, good views but poor set up for a rugby game re ref link replays etc, great food & drink offerings poor merchandising and toilet facilities were far to inadequate 20 minute wait for men’s toilets was very poor. Priority given to cars leaving ground, humans were treated as cattle and a long time to get out of the area and slow moving which which some good event management course be a lot better. Overall a 7 out of 10. Staff were great and everybody made us feel welcome in Chicago

  • Disappointed

by Peter on 11/4/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

A poor match with atmosphere destroyed by stadium announcer and music DJ ANNOUNCER had little understanding of game DJ DROWNED OUT ANY ATTEMPT FOR SUPPORTERS TO CREATE AN ATMOSPHERE AUDIO AND VISUAL Displays not working to keep supporters informed of events on field of play A pity it’s a great stadium

  • Great match. Venue has issues

    by Mick8 on 11/4/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

Match was great. Getting to and from Soldier Field is a nightmare. No public transportation. Bumper to bumper traffic all the way in Uber. Had to walk a mile for Uber pickup spot and bumper to bumper home. Stadium itself was fine except for 15 minute line for men’s room.

  • fun time

    by Ricky G on 11/4/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I was rooting for the Kiwis but the Irish crowd was great. it was awesome to hear them break into song. My wife was wearing a boot due to an injury and we parked in the north garage which was very convenient to get into the stadium. The staff at soldier field was also very kind in finding her a wheel chair to take her across the stadium to our seats. I am a bit new to rugby but it was helpful when the announcer said what the foul call was to help me understand the game.

No issues, easy to access tickets through Ticketmaster and Google wallet. All good

  • Top Level International Rugby

by Chas on 11/4/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

For an opportunity to see top level rugby in USA, Soldier Field was sold out.As usual at great rugby venues, the fans were well behaved. The game had some poor moments as the REPLAY(TMO) was not working and after a very questionable call, we were left in the dark as to why. I bet the city of Chicago was happy to have 60,000 visitors for hotels and restaurants, not to mention the pubs, spend a few quid! And it is always great to connect with old friends ( as well as new) who love the game. The actual game had some great moments.

  • Poor Event

by Jay on 11/4/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 2 out of 5

Poorly organized, awful representation of rugby for north america

  • No view of Big Screens

by Irishdessy on 11/4/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

The seats were ok but did not have a view of the giant screens at either end of the field. This should be in the description of the seats when booking. The overhang of the terraces above meant my view of the giant tvs at either end of the stadium was obscured. I was in section 107, row 18, seats 17 and 18.

  • Great event, Chicago always delivers

    by NotRossFromD4 on 11/4/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This is my second time attending the Ireland V All Blacks game in Chicago. Some friends and I flew in for the weekend. We had a trememdous time. Soldier Field is a great venue. The view from my Level 3 Club seats was outstanding. Now, if only Ireland showed up on the day, it would be perfect :)

  • Rugby games are great!

by Anonymous on 11/10/16Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

The Ireland vs. New Zealand rugby game was awesome, my only suggestion is to try and coordinate more after game activities which would encourage all the fans to hang out or go to a centralized location to party with other rugby enthusiasts

  • Amazing Life Event

by ChrisSka on 11/9/16Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Great event, with excellent sightlines. Concessions very expensive, but the atmosphere was great.

  • All Blacks vs. Ireland

by QCCoach on 11/9/16Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This match was outstanding. It was all that could be expected. To be able to see this quality of rugby was fantastic. The speed of the game and skill of the players was wonderful to watch. The atmosphere throughout the match was electric. The match was very well worth the price of the ticket. The only drawback to this venue is Soldier Field. It is the worst laid out stadium I have ever been to. Only two restrooms for the entire upper level; the ingress and egress left a lot to be desired. The corridors were too narrow to be able to move that many people. Concession prices are outrageous.
