    Money Grab!

by mulysa123 on 10/27/15Randalls Island - New York

    - Bought GA tickets for 9pm - 3 hour wait for GA - "Recommended" by staff to upgrade our tickets to VIP tickets (extra $15 each), so that we could reduce the wait - 2 hour wait for VIP - Approximately a 25 min hayride, the actors and costumes were great! Awesome job to them! In short, it was not worth the money or the wait. They really should have a limited number of tickets for an hour, instead of selling so many tickets.

Long line for a 5 minute ride

by twothumbsdown3 on 10/27/15Randalls Island - New York

The ride was nothing like what I thought. It was not scary, the line was ridiculously long for a 5 minute ride. A lot of hype for nothing. If t

    Not worth it

by MelindaBelinda on 10/27/15Randalls Island - New York

We were waiting for 4 hours in the cold with the same repeating music title. That should say everything. I can't be that scared after waiting that long. My expectation were way to high after my hypothermia.

    DO NOT GO!!!!!!!!

by Pilateslil on 10/27/15Randalls Island - New York

This place is a joke! Wifi or ticketmaster was not working. Could not get tickets on my phone. Waited on customer service line for half hr only for her to tell me when I got there that her connection was down. Had to buy new tickets because kids really wanted to go. They offered us refunds if we filled out our info. Line was up the kazoo by now. Waited on VIP line in a cage with 50 other people for 50 minutes because "something" was wrong. They would not tell us what. Employees treated us like cattle. Worst people I've ever encountered. Hayride was 35 WASTED minutes!!!! My little 3 year old brother has scared me more!!! Do NOT waste ur time!!! Trust me!!

not scary and i'm EASILY scared. probably good for kids. the first 'act' was the best and it was all downhill from there... it's hard with the city lights because it's not dark. you can see anything that's coming. i understand this was previously done in LA for years, but it clearly needs to be redone for NYC.

This was supposed to be a scary ride, one of the scariest in NYC. However, my boyfriend and I were laughing not screaming. It was definitely entertaining and it had so much potential, but definitely not scary. There was a little girl (5yrs old) who screamed at one point, but mostly she seemed shocked not scared. That should tell you a lot.

    DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

by jmcjr18 on 10/27/15Randalls Island - New York

The worst waste of money ever! 4 hours of my life I will never get back! 3 hour wait for a 30 minute ride. A shuttle service that has one van that fits 15 people that runs every 30 minutes. Our entrance time was 8pm we got on the ride at 11pm. In between we waited on a line assaulted by the loudest most awful Halloween soundtrack on a loop. It was deafening and people had to scream to be heard. Then the actual hayride they clearly were making up for the long lines by adding extra people to the wagons. Jammed in worse than a rush hour subway. The worst part of all...the costumes, sets and makeup were pretty great but by that point who cared. Being in a wagon doesn't give the cast much to do but jump on the side of the wagon and band it with sticks. Tired real fast. SAVE YOURSELVES THE $35+! Watch a movie.

The only issue with this new to NYC attraction is the wait time. Even with a VIP pass you still wait roughly 1hr to 1-1/2hrs to get on the hayride. But once you are on the ride it is a fun experience filled with some thrills & chills. I would definitely do the event again, and recommend trying it out.

    First & Last

by Anonymous on 10/27/15Randalls Island - New York

Arrived at around 9pm, stood in line for about 4 hours, to then "enjoy" a 25 minute ride through mediocre sets and actors. First and last time I will go to New York Haunted Hayride.

This would have been ok if we didn't have to wait in line for 3 hours. Our time slots meant nothing and they were still selling tickets when we got there even though they were very clearly full and shouldn't have let anyone else in. The link really ruined the experience for me and I wouldn't go again just because of that.

    2.5 HOURS IN LINE

by Anonymous on 10/27/15Randalls Island - New York

The line took way to long to make this worthwhile.

    cool

by Toiboi on 10/27/15Randalls Island - New York

It was cool, the line moved fast for general admission. I didn't see the difference in VIP and General, so I recommend General. The booth workers and shuttle bus workers were very confused and didn't seem to be too knowledgeable. rhe attractions were scary if you're a scary type of person, but it started to become a little redundant. Lastly, you actually are sitting in hay on the floor of the back of a truck/trailer. I DID NOT LIKE THAT! It caused the ride to be overcrowded and tight. Because there were no assigned seats. Sorry to the woman I was leaning on for the entire ride. But I recommend it overall.

    Horrible

by Johnq86 on 10/26/15Randalls Island - New York

This place was supposed to be awesome!...I am a very big Halloween fan and this place just flat out is not good! Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!...It is more of a comedy hay ride then an actual haunted hayride...also the shuttle system is completely unorganized and picks and drops you off at random locations in the area not any actual pick up location, oh did I mention that the shuttle is actually a passenger van that only fits 12 people, the line waiting for the van is about 40-50 people deep.

This was my first time on the haunted hayride and it was definitely an awesome time and something I would recommend everyone to do. The production was so entertaining and set up really well. Randall's island is the perfect location.
