New York Giants History
A cornerstone franchise of the National Football League, the New York Giants began play in 1925. Legally, the Giants are named “The New York Football Giants,” which distinguished them from the “New York Giants” baseball team that called New York their home until 1975, before moving to San Francisco.
As one of the most awarded franchises in history, the Giants have won eight league championships — including a victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI, their second in five seasons. The Giants (also known as the G-Men, the Jints and the Big Blue Wrecking Crew) are the only franchise in the NFL with a Super Bowl victory in each of the last four decades.

New York Giants at MetLife Stadium
The Giants are an institution with a storied history, and loyal fans can remember games at Yankees Stadium in the Bronx, Shea Stadium in Queens, the Yale Bowl, and Giants Stadium. MetLife Stadium, which became the Giants’ home stadium starting in 2010, is housed at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and is also home to the New York Jets, making it one of only two stadiums shared by two NFL teams.
The stadium cost approximately $1.6 billion to construct, which at the time made it the most expensive stadiums to be built in the U.S. With a capacity of 82,500, MetLife Stadium is one of the largest stadiums in the NFL. The stadium has hosted such major sporting events as the first outdoor, cold-weather Super Bowl XLVIII, Copa America Centenario Final, and the 2021 Army-Navy Game. It will also serve as a site for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The New York Giants schedule release video was uploaded on May 15, 2024. The video parodies the making-of a schedule release video. See if you can spot the Giants' two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning and actor Glen Powell. You can watch the clip here.

Our family had a great time At giants stadium we are Vikings fans they showed us a lot of respect friendliness It was my 2 yr old first time she had a great time. My husband’s 40 th Birthday gift. Awesome time.
Very impressive for me to visit MetLife Stadium. Atmosphere was great and a lot of good food. I’d been rooting for Giants but unfortunately Vikings was too strong.
First trip to NYC so had to attend a Giants game. Great experience starting at friendly Bud lite stand. Beautiful weather helped enhance overall experience and memory.🏈😀👍 Only slight downside was hour long wait for bus back to Port Authority🙁. Fans seated around us were all friendly and entertaining.
One thing is they do not accept QR codes (my wallet on iPhone) at the stadium. We had to go to the ticketmaster office to get paper tickets with a bar code.
Great experience, easy to access and store tickets.
Parking went smoothly Bad lightning storm was coming They flawlessly evacuated the stadium before the storm hit, everyone was happy and just waited out the storm The game played, great game, great staff, everyone friendly
👌👌👌👍👍👍👍🤜 very 😊 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👊🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
The smoke they ran through as they entered the stadium was the best part of their game. They have used the smoke before to mask they "Pop Warner" performances but this time nothing could cover up the "G Boys" 5P performance. How can they do so badly and still charge to see them? I can see smoke anywhere.
Had a great time at MetLife. Not my favorite venue but a solid spot to watch football and hang with friends. Tailgating outside prior to was awesome! Great fans there! Not in the prettiest area but it is New Jersey after all. Leaving was a bit of a nightmare. I suppose waiting to leave a little later next time may be the best course of action. Overall a good venue, relatively clean and concessions and bathrooms were pretty convenient.
The tickets were good and everyone was very helpful
The game was dictated by the weather as it rained throughout so wasn’t the best opening day of the new NFL season. MetLife stadium is always worth a visit & is best accessed by train from Penn Station on 34th street NYC underneath MSG. Good atmosphere at the game.
Finding tickets in a particular section requires a zillion red dot clicks. Finding parking passes is even worse. Click on wheelchair and you then find cheaper parking passes. This NFL Ticket Exchange site is really BAD.
This was a trip of a lifetime. It was everything I had imagined and more! Great trip with my family!! Unforgettable!!
1st NFL experience in freezing conditions. Great experience and a definite must for all travellers to NY
Great seats and easy to order online and follow through process on acquiring tickets.
As always the experience of attending the game was great. The crowd is exuberant and friendly, and the stadium and parking are very practical. Too bad that the Giants were so badly outplayed by a much better team.
Went to see NY giants at MetLife stadium. We had an amazing day. Unfortunately the giants lost but to go to see them at a Home game was fantastic and we had a great time.
One of the nicest stadiums we've been to. Very professional staff everywhere. A few of those typical 'ridiculous fans' yelling and cursing at our Team. Their problem!
It was ok, I feel like the price I paid, we should’ve got something for free.
