About

Rambunctious, Danish indie rockers New Politics formed in the late 2000s around the talents of vocalist David Boyd, guitarist/vocalist/keyboard player Søren H, and drummer Poul Amaliel. The band’s high-energy, guitar-driven blend of punk, pop, and electronically induced dance rock (Boyd specializes in wildly unpredictable stage posturing) eventually caught the ears (and eyes) of RCA, who signed the group in 2009. Fearing American anonymity, the band relocated to New York City, or more specifically, the indie rock center of the universe, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Their self-titled debut full-length was released in July of 2010. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi

    NEW POLITICS rocked the house!!

by MelEchelon on 12/20/13The National - Richmond

Became a fan of New Politics after seeing them open for 30 Seconds to Mars earlier this year and instantly fell in love! Have seen them 2 times since then, with 1 more in the near future. Would follow them anywhere. They put on quite a show & after meeting them for the CD signing, found out they are amazing & down to earth guys too. Would HIGHLY recommend seeing a show if you can. Oh, and the folks at XL102Richmond and The National were amazing as well. The venue is great, love the layout and intimate feel. One of the best shows I've seen at one of the best venues!!

    They rock

by oSandyo on 10/15/13Hollywood Bowl - Los Angeles

I saw them open for 30 Seconds to Mars at the Hollywood Bowl. They freaking rocked for an opening act. This is for sure one band that will be making it big. Harlem was the best performance of the night for me. I loved that song. They know how to entertain a crowd. Would definitely love to see them live again.

They were great! I've never heard of them but when they opened for Twenty One Pilots I had so much fun!! They could definitely get a crowd pumped. I hope they come back so I could go to another one of their concerts.
