About

Rambunctious, Danish indie rockers New Politics formed in the late 2000s around the talents of vocalist David Boyd, guitarist/vocalist/keyboard player Søren H, and drummer Poul Amaliel. The band’s high-energy, guitar-driven blend of punk, pop, and electronically induced dance rock (Boyd specializes in wildly unpredictable stage posturing) eventually caught the ears (and eyes) of RCA, who signed the group in 2009. Fearing American anonymity, the band relocated to New York City, or more specifically, the indie rock center of the universe, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Their self-titled debut full-length was released in July of 2010. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi

    Damn Good

by VivaMiriaMonsta on 3/23/18The Underground - Charlotte

New Politics did it again. I've seen them at least seven times and I've never been disappointed. This show was no different. They killed it. The supporting acts were amazing. The venue was intimate. All in all this was an A+ experience. Keep on rockin'.

    New Politics were amazing!

by Iwastoldimsteph on 3/13/18The Belasco Theater - Los Angeles

These bands all had GREAT energy that kept the crowds going. I loved every minute of the concert. In between the sets, the venue itself was beautiful to look at and the music they played was mostly similar to the bands we were there to see. Just an amazing Experience. I am definitely a new fan of The Wrecks and Dreamers now! New Politics did not disappoint. They were everything I remembered and more!

    New Politics+The Wrecks+Dreamers.. HELL YEAH

by Jaden29 on 3/13/18The Belasco Theater - Los Angeles

New Politics, Dreamers, and The Wrecks all have different types of energies that mix together with such force and intensity, you'll never want the show to end! By the end of the show you'll wonder how the past 5 hours went by so fast(and also your voice). Current suffering from post-concert depression :)

    Epic, magical night

by lara1974 on 3/13/18The Belasco Theater - Los Angeles

New Politics is my favorite live band ever! And I go to a ton of concerts every year. I’ve seen them 7 times now and each time is better than the last. It’s impossible to go to a New Politics show and not smile and dance and jump around like a little kid. And the guys in the band are literally the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Don’t miss they’re next show!

    New Politics were okay

by kelslovesmusic on 3/13/18The Belasco Theater - Los Angeles

I enjoyed the venue a lot. I bought tickets so I can see the opening acts so when New Politics took the stage I wasn't too impressed and felt their performance wasn't as good as the openers.

by MJExcelsior on 2/26/18Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

The New Politcs are really amazing! They know how to get a crowd going and are genuinely appreciative of the fans. I would love to see them in Minneapolis more often! And The Varsity Theater is one of the best venues in town for live music! Keep up the great work!

New Politics bring top notch energy

by MushMasterTom on 2/19/18House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

I was aware of New Politics songs, however, the reason I gave them a further listen was because I am totally a fan of the opening band, DREAMERS. This show turned out to be everything I expected and much much more. Both bands played amazing sets, and the amount of energy during the New Politics set was intense. I highly recommend this show. Also, The House of Blues in Cleveland never disappoints.

    Best concert ever!!

by rossss on 11/27/17The Castle Theatre - Bloomington

I've been to a few popular alternative concerts (Portugal. the man, the neighborhood, the 1975, more) and I loved them all, but this beats all of them! So much energy from the band, really great performers overall and made everyone in the audience have a lot of fun. I even got to meet them afterwards!!

Great set by one of my favorite bands

by amgoos on 8/28/16CFE Arena - Orlando

As always, these guys put on an amazing show. Lead singer, David, is full of energy and interacted with the crowd quite a bit. Soren, on guitar, ukele, and piano made us laugh. Louis, the drummer, and my favorite even got some "USA" cheers at the end. They played all of their hits and many of the songs from all three of their albums. It was a free show for the college kids, but I hope they gained a lot of fans.
