New Jersey Devils History
The New Jersey Devils were born in 1982, the third incarnation of a franchise that began as the Kansas City Scouts (1974-76) before spending six years in Denver as the Colorado Rockies. The arrival of president/general manager Lou Lamoriello in 1987 started the franchise's rise to the NHL elite. The Devils made the playoffs in 21 of the next 24 seasons, including five trips to the Stanley Cup Final.
The Devils made it as far as the conference finals in the 1987-1988 and 1993-1994 seasons, preparing them for their historic run the following year in which they won their first Stanley Cup Championship, sweeping the Detroit Red Wings.
The Devils returned to the Stanley Cup Final in 2000, dispatching the Dallas Stars in six games on an iconic double-overtime Cup-clinching goal by Jason Arnott. The next season, as the best offensive team in the NHL, they returned to the Final.
The Devils' stretch of dominance was far from over, though. They won their third Stanley Cup Championship in 2003, spoiling the Anaheim Ducks’ first-ever playoff run with a Game 7 shutout orchestrated by Martin Brodeur. To date, the club has won three Stanley Cup Championships and five Eastern Conference Championships.
In 2022, the Devils returned to the second round of the playoffs—their first time since 2011. Led by young stars Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier, the Devils defeated their long-time rivals the New York Rangers in the first round, before losing their next series to the Carolina Hurricanes.

The staff was super polite and helpful finding my seats and the game was amazing and you were able to see the entire rink. It was the best time I’ve had
Went to the Rock for the first time since COVID. Safety measures were in place. The venue was about 1/2 full. PA system was SO loud it was all garbled. $25.00 parking. Fans place their drinks, coats, feet, etc on the ledge in the first row of the 100s level…still. Visibility stinks as a result. Same old stuff. Maybe I’m just asking to much to be able to see? Thankful I gave up my season tickets & have no interest in getting them again. It was nice to be back, but the couch at home is also good especially when they can’t seem to score.
Nice sightlines, except in seat 1 you have plexiglass that obstructs your view. I didn't realize that. Also the seats are very narrow. They need to be wider. Right below this section the seats are much larger and have cupholders - the Devils need to upgrade all the seats to be like that.
Prudential center is a nice venue, kept very clean. Great view from the seats (section 111). Will definitely be back!
During these hard times with pandemic going on it was great to get back to feeling alittle normal ,wearing masks seemed to be a pain in the neck but it truly wasnt ,people and staff were awesome at The Rock ,surrounding vendures and establishments were all great
Purchased as a packeage for aew back in September for aew live at prudential center called messaged emailed no response wasted money for nothing
Was a good game, would have been better if the wild showed up on tine 😅
The event went perfect. This was my first time utilizing all transactions from my iPhone. Took some time to figure out that is why I gave a 4 star review. Next time should be much easier. Worked flawlessly when entering arena for all 5 tickets purchased. The insurance for this event was a waste of money.
Sat in section 132 Really enjoyed the angle to the ice All hosts were cordial and willing to help without question Lastly the Devils won!
Easy to use No waiting to leave This was my first time using the parking garage and I will use it again
Seats great-building great-employees very nice-outcome wonderful
From the time we steed in the place the devils took over everything.ofcourse they won that night returning three years later had a ball.
The game was great the arena was great the seats were great the whole experience amazing can’t wait to go again
Great place to watch a game and easy to get in but parking is awful. The prices are inconsistent and if you want to park at the lot right in front of the pru it takes over an hour to get out and the other parking places are very sus.
The playing of loud music before during and intermission was out of control. Tone it down people have to scream to talk. Annoying to say the least.
Thankfully, I have a smart phone. Not everyone has a smart phone. I had no other option for ticket delivery. Otherwise, I could not use this service. Secondly, had to kerp my phone charged. My phones battery must be charged twice a day sometimes. What are you to do if you phone battery crashes or crashes unexpectedly? What if I do not have service to my phone or unable to receive or download the tickets. To many variables that can affect the end product. Not pleased with those prospects.
I was really excited dor the first meet up it franchise history and thay did not disappoint. The entire arena get the energy flowing
One major complaint! The food vendor menu choices are small. One station just for chicken, one just for pizza, etc. We waited in line for sausage only to be told when it was our turn they were out and had to wait at least 15 min for more to cook. Didnt want to miss game so never got! In 3rd period i had to pay $9 for a hot dog!
Prudential Center is a great venue for hockey! Sightlines are fine, amenities like restrooms and concessions are as good as anywhere in the NHL. Staff is helpful. And the on-ice product? A work in progress, definitely on the rise.
Fast security check and entrance. Food services slow
