About

Initially formed in Joplin, Missouri, in 2007, the indie rock band, Never Shout Never, recently returned after a brief musical hiatus with an impressive concert appearance at the 2013 Warped Tour. Although the Warped Tour performance was mostly marked by an effort at promoting both peace and patriotism, it also featured the classic heavy percussion and impressive guitar sequences that have so successfully sold tickets during past tours. The members of Never Shout Never were eager to get back on the road, but the main purpose of their Warped Tour appearance was to promote "Sunflower," a recent full-length album released in July 2013.

Never Shout Never may currently attract vast audiences, but the band's beginnings were fairly humble in nature. Lead singer Christofer Drew Ingle first adopted the moniker as a teenager in Joplin. He first received public recognition for his music through MySpace, with virtual fans eventually convincing him to release "The Yippee" EP in 2008. He was quickly joined by his touring band members, Hayden Kaiser and Taylor McFee, both of whom remain a part of Never Shout Never to this day. The group has released several significant EPs and albums, although their most significant achievement may be aiding in the post-tornado Joplin relief effort through the release of their single, "Time Travel." More recently, the band released the full-length album, "Indigo," in 2012, followed by "Sunflower" in 2013. The band has also made a point of getting in on the holiday music frenzy, releasing a snazzy music video for "Under The Mistletoe," as well as a popular Christmas EP.

I loved the venue and the bands. It was all very personal. Even if you were in the back, you were still close to the stage. Such a good concert

    Amazing throwback!

by shainacatrina on 3/10/15Brighton Music Hall - Boston

My friend and I used to listen to NSN all the time in high school and my friend was literally in love with Christopher Drew, and we got lucky enough to run into him in a little pizza place ten minute before the concert began! The band was amazing and Haley Kiyoko (who opened for them) gave an awesome, fun performance. Totally worth it. :D

    Talented songwriter, not enough songs

by menal on 12/10/13Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Overall I would recommend seeing NSN- CDrew is a very talented songwriter and musician and plays a great harmonica, but was disappointed by how little songs where covered-after more than 5 albums, 1 hour of playing with a lot of chatting in between songs was disappointing to solid fans that have followed the band for years. Only 1 song played with Uke-too bad. It was nice to see the bands personalities-but much time wasted. Drinks were real weak, but bartender helpful .Getting there was easy but parking a bit tricky-go early. The venue itself was small, and with the band sitting on stools very chill the entire performance, it would have been nice to have seats for such a relaxed interactive show.

    Never Shout Never was Awesome!

by SavKat on 12/10/13Brighton Music Hall - Boston

When Never Shout Never hit the stage, the energy was palpable. Most of the music was familiar and we all sang along, there was even a planned audience-participation portion. The banter was very entertaining, too. The vibes were excellent and every girl there was in love with Christofer. He's even cuter in person than in his photos.

It was absolutely amazing. The Stone Pony is the most amazing venue I've ever been to. It was hot and sweaty as are most general admission concerts but there was also a chll, homey feel to it. MO and NSN are the bestttttt <3

    Indigo Tour Incredible!!!

by AlanaMarie on 12/3/12The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

Great show Chris was super nice, signed autographs and took pictures with everyone. Taylor and Hayden were so sweet! Basic vacation is an awesome band and they're definitely going places. Me like bees is an all time favorite. The band was so laid back and down to earth, some of the coolest guys I've met. Man overboard represented their home state! Great show!! Definitely going back to the stone pony for another show soon :)

    NEVER SHOUT NEVER WAS PHENOMENAL!

by Chellslovesowls on 12/3/12The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

It was a long, well worth wait to get inside of the Stone Pony on Saturday December 1st. Especially when the crowd was entertained by fans playing music, singing together, and getting visits from Hayden, Taylor, and Chris who were just walking around and passing through to go in and out of the pony for sound check. What was extremely incredible was throughout the whole night, I ran into all the members of all the bands (ME LIKE BEES WAS SUPERB) and got to casually chat, smoke cigarettes and take pictures- it was awesome. I traveled all the way from NYC to see NsN and Ican tell you Chris and the crew preformed their hearts out and were as energetic and happy as ever. I've seen all of them since they were like 17 and I've seen tons of performances over the years and I can tell you that this was my most favorite one! INDIGO TOUR WAS THE BEST :)
