    Engaging, funny, loved it!

by Gina on 4/19/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

He discussed the cosmos for our night. I loved how he made science so fun and engaging. He went over the time limit and the audience had no issue about it whatsoever. Loved every minute!!!

    Informative... and a little long

by RP on 4/19/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Overall an excellent presentation, especially if you are interested in science and engineering. NdGT has so much knowledge to share that he went way over time. The audience was way too loud and vocal, and imo disrupted his presentation too many times. Maybe this would be less if he didn't encourage it by responding, but his audience interaction is part of his approach.

    Charismatic Educational Speaker

by Jim on 4/19/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Dr. Tyson is an engaged and entertaining speaker that brings humor and information to all in attendance. He easily forms a personal connection with his audience while discussing the most complicated cosmos subjects. If you haven't ever seen Dr. Tyson in person, you are shortchanging yourself!!

    Is there a 6-star rating?

    by Darwin42 on 4/19/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Dr. Tyson was very humorous, yet was still on track with the learning. I highly recommend his lectures, as you can learn a lot. As an aspiring astrophysicist, I look forward to reading some of his books and listening to more of his talks. If he ever does a talk just on black holes, I'm all in!

    Amazing!

by Lisab on 4/19/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

The best! Entertaining, funny, informative. I’d go see him again and hope he comes back soon! Loved the “excuse note” for kids. If I’d had him for a professor I would’ve majored in astrophysics just to take more classes with him.

Arguably the greatest educator of our time.

    by dat_boah on 4/18/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Dr. Tyson is a relatable showman who makes you insatiable for knowledge.

    Underwhelmed

by Denise on 4/18/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

I was expecting to learn a lot at this lecture, and I did not. Dr. Tyson presented very little information that I wasn't already familiar with (and I'm not a hard core science geek). He spent much more time telling self aggrandizing stories than he did presenting interesting information about astrophysics. The tickets were far too expensive for what was essentially a two hour brag fest.

    Great talk, in a sauna

by AmyJ on 4/18/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Neil degrasse Tyson is, of course, amazing. The theater however, was very warm and humid. Very unusual for the paramount

    What an evening.

This 2 hour show that went 3 hours was wonderful. Interesting, educational, and entertaining. One of the best presenters I have ever had the pleasure to see.

    Entertaining and educational

by Skramer on 4/18/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Dr Tyson is delightful, witty, entertaining, and motivating. He shared astrophysics and the universe in terms that were understandable and educational for any age group. We were inspired about our world, our place in it, and left eager to know more.

    Fantastic!

    by Stoobeedoo on 4/17/24

I don't know why anyone would give his talks less than 5 stars, but there's always the naysayers. Neil is so relaxed when he speaks you feel like you're his best friend sitting in his living room while he bends your mind. He spoke for nearly three hours and it wasn't enough! My third time seeing him and I hope to see him again in the future.

Not a good idea to mix in the comedians

by SmoothPaul on 3/25/24Beacon Theatre - New York

I love Neil DeGrasse Tyson as well as Michio Kaku. But mixing in two comedians with them on stage was a big miss. I would assume that most people that paid for a ticket were hoping to get a night of scientific content. We go that, but mixed in with a few hundred interruptions of attempted jokes and other forms of levity. For me, it ruined the evening, as the jokes weren't funny or entertaining and completely broke up the content in a very awkward and annoying way. It's like mixing ice cream and steak. I like them both, but let one be the entrée and one be the dessert - don't serve them both on the same plate at the same time. Just my two-cents.

    Smart and Funny

by Meli R. on 3/25/24Beacon Theatre - New York

First, I love the Beacon Theatre. It is such a beautiful and well kept up venue. Neil deGrasse Tyson as always is very engaging with the audience. His guests added nuance to the topic, which was quantum computing. It was discussed in a way that the smartest to most unaware person in the room would understand. Tiffany Hadish and Jordan Klepper kept things light and interesting. All in all a fun and educational evening.

Sadly, not what I had hoped for

by Cletus Bouregard III on 3/25/24Beacon Theatre - New York

I had long since wanted to see NGT in person doing his thing and sharing his views of the cosmos. This event was not that. The evening centered around String Theory and Quantum Computing. Michio Kaku, while brilliant, was not what I waited so long to hear. The comic relief added to the presentation detracted from it instead of lightening it. We left when the Q/A began. The venue, as well, was unfortunate. Live and learn. I had envisioned being an audience to Sagan's prodigy. I ended up watching a History Channel special on Quantum Computing with Mystery Science Theatre folks on stage at the same time.

    Captivating & intellectually stimulating

by Justiniano R. on 3/24/24Beacon Theatre - New York

Michio Kaku and Neil deGrasse Tyson are great speakers. Michio was great at breaking down and explaining Quantum Computing.
