    Good Educational fun

by Carla on 3/24/24Beacon Theatre - New York

The talk was such a good blend of pop culture comedy and quantum computing and well as a physics lessons. The cohosts along with NDT were good at keeping the conversation moving. Overall a very entertaining evening.

    A great and educational show!

by Nick C on 3/24/24Beacon Theatre - New York

I was surprised. It was a a lot of fun to have drinks and watch a panel with different perspectives on quantum mechanics. Different than what I’m used to but a lot of fun!!

    Disappointed

by IJ on 3/23/24Beacon Theatre - New York

It wasn’t a scientific talk at all. It was a ‘comedy’. Idk why that female actress (I don’t know her name) was invited there. She had no clue about science and was just making unfunny jokes. I expected Michio Kaku to talk more about recent interesting inventions/discoveries, but he just kept saying ‘the world is changing’. A 10 minute scientific youtube video would be more informativ than the whole show. I understand that to make the show easy to understand for most people, you should’t get much into details, but this was just a disrespect to science. At least, that actress shouldn’t have been there. Anyway, if your purpose is to see some celebrities and hear jokes, you might enjoy it. But if you are interested in science, you will barely watch for 5 minutes.

    A lot

by Sunny on 3/23/24Beacon Theatre - New York

I was hoping to hear more about stars and planets. Even though topics discussed where different then expected it was done in an interesting way and explained so i could understand. Often times with humor.

Amoung the best if not the best.

by Marty Bridges on 3/15/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Dr. Tyson was his normal entertaining self. He interacted with the audience and acknowledged some of the younger members of the audience. He was entertaining and informative. This was my fourth lecture and it was fresh with new information and topics.

Dr Tyson is knowledgeable and entertaining. We completely enjoyed the show, including the 16 year old! As a geologist/astronomer I learned new things while enjoying his take on a wide range of topics. All of us could not be happier that we were lucky enough to see this!

    Great, as usual

by Anu on 3/15/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Dr. Tyson is so full of energy and information. We recommended the show to a friend and their family attended and were full of praise. My 9 year old loved it, though got a bit sleepy at the end because the program started at 8.00 pm. Our one request to Dr. Tyson and the venue managers is to consider starting the program earlier - around 6.30 or 7.00, so the younger fans can enjoy too.

    An absolutely phenomenal experience!

by Eli on 3/3/24Columbia County Performing Arts Center - Evans

My husband and I bought these tickets as a date night idea and we were not disappointed. If you like space, learning new things, being able to stretch your brain and just in general want to have a good time, Tyson is not only a phenomenal host but a phenomal teacher as well. If he ever comes back to Augusta, I will not hesitate to go see Tyson twice!

    Absolutely Fantastic!!!

by Warren Hamilton on 3/2/24BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

The show was” An Astrophysicist Goes to the Movies ”. This show seems to have been primarily structured to appeal to those with extremely limited to moderate understanding of science and physics. I personally prefer one of his more in depth topics, but seeing someone one with that degree of intelligence and charisma talk about almost anything is going to be unforgettable. I very much enjoyed the show.

    Great learning!

by Terri on 3/2/24Columbia County Performing Arts Center - Evans

He spoke non-stop for over two hours. We laughed, he laughed- a good time was had by all. I would recommend this show to anyone and everyone. I would go see him again even if he said the same thing. He could have talked forever and most would have stayed. Very educational too.

    A Little More, Please

by Evans Mom on 3/2/24Columbia County Performing Arts Center - Evans

Very welcomed change of offerings. With that, in our area, the primary employers are a nuclear power plant, a DEA nuclear research facility, Army Cyber, NSA, and the medical college, which makes the odds of having tech-savvy folks in the audience pretty high. According, it would have been nice for Dr. Tyson to add a “tech timeout” to provide a little more depth into the math and engineering behind Doppler, speed-of-light, etc. Especially important for the kids to see practical application of math. Also, maybe use the last 15-20 minutes for a question and answer session could be very enriching and entertaining. My 17yr old son really enjoyed the lecture. Please come back soon!

A Lot of Fun to see him in person!

by Don on 3/2/24BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

We went to see Neil at the BJCC Concert Hall in Birmingham, Alabama. It is a really nice comfortable venue. We had great seats too. It was so much fun to see Neil in person. It looked completely sold out too. He did a fun talk about how science relates to the movies and was very engaging with the audience. He was very informative and was also very entertaining. He did a Q&A at the end for a large group of ticket holders and it was really fun ( although I didn't get to ask my question). As a boy growing up in NY I clearly remember going to the Hayden Planetarium with my school. It was so much fun. He is the director of it now. I would highly recommend going to see him. You will have a lot of fun and won't be disappointed! Bring your children and grandchildren.
