My son and I enjoy Dr.. DeGrass Tyson’s (with Chuck Nice) podcast during car rides. We excitedly anticipating seeing him live and he did not disappoint! The segment on water tension was of particular note. Max’s Mom, Angela!
This was my second NDT lecture, even better than his previous talk in Minneapolis a few years ago. I love his ability to weave astrophysics (in easy to comprehend terms) with commentary on the human condition. Even though we are in the midst of a very polarized political climate now, he gives me hope that if enough people invoke rational, critical thinking (crucial in scientific methodology) in their everyday decision-making, our country can survive the current divisiveness.
Neil is always an amazing talk! Please invite him back, it was so nice to see everyone come together for science.
Neil was funny but this lecture lacked any real purpose. It felt under prepared and missed the mark for me. He didn't go into depth on any topic and kept his remarks to headline news titles. He failed to engage a very ready audience and had me leaving without filling any of the wants I had coming in. I was really and left feeling really disappointed.
Very disappointing! Too much childish humor, not enough science. Extremely condescending and slightly political! We saw him the last time he was in Minneapolis and he was outstanding. Evidently, his ego got the best of him.
Amazing, energetic, interesting from start to finish. Talked for 2 1/2 hours nonstop. Would go again.
Had a nice time and learned some things. My college kids had a decent time.
Great evening with Neil DeGrasse Tyson! Smart, clever, and also funny performance! He makes science fun!
Great stories from one of the great minds of our time.
