  • Need To Breathe & The Alternate Routes ROCKED!

by jlove on 10/29/09Troubadour - West HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

The music was fun, uplifting, funky & powerful. Even without knowing all of the songs, I loved it. Everyone in the audience was quiet, attentive & looked like they were having fun!

Amazingly talented band with tons of energy and wonderful songs!!

  • Needtobreathe is the best live performance period!

by SunM on 10/23/09Troubadour - West HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Needtobreathe's prolific lyrics & phenomenal musical sound combined with Bear's unique voice and bands harmony sets them apart. Once the world hear them, these wonderful small venue concerts will be a sweet memory. Feel like i am enjoying what it must have been like before U2 became a house hold name.

This band is a rocken Christian Band saw them at Fishfest, didn't share Christianity ties at this venue. Sounded really good, but better vocal mikes at Fishfest, couldn't quite here the vocals as well at this venue. Cool background lighting, but they were in silloette a lot of the time. Highly recommend seeing this band.

  • NeedToBreathe was great!

by loidamarym on 10/22/09Troubadour - West HollywoodRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first time seeing NeedToBreathe live. They were amazing. What I am disappointed in is the venue. They are too good of a bad to be, in a rundown location. The atmosphere was not the best. I would of rather paid more $$$ for a better venue. But the Band rocked....

  • Needtobreathe @ Troubadour- great!

Needtobreathe rocked the house. LOVE their music. All 3 of their albums are amazing. And they're fun to watch--they have great character and they really rock out when they play live.

  • Could not understand the lyrics

by Gregw on 10/19/09House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 1 out of 5

A 7 pm show. No warm ups on the bill. Two showed up on stage. Needtobreathe did not come on until 10 pm. I listened to 4 songs, all of which I knew by heart, and could not understand the lyrics in any of them. I love their CD's and their message, but this was one of the worst live shows I have ever seen. I was so disappointed. I waited 3 hours to see who I came to see and could not understand their lyrics. I had three with me whom I had told it would be a great show. Embarrassing.

  • NEEDTOBREATHE was great!

Loves the concert venue and loved the band more. They were excellent! Entertaining, fun, uplifting, everything. I did not even mind standing for 4 hours because the band was so good. Keep it up, it was great!

  • Needtobreathe is the best there is! Unforgettable

by BMW2 on 10/16/09House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I have never seen a better concert, even big time bands in major arenas. Their lyrics are so legit. Their musical composition is unique, one of a kind, genius. A must to check out. Buy the CD and buy the tickets early for the next show in the spring.

  • Amazing!!

  • NeedToBreathe

by Rockcyclecoach on 10/16/09House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I had never heard of NeedToBreathe before, but I like to see live music, and often see new bands, so I took a chance. NeedToBreathe was GREAT! Kind of southern-rocky, a bit of blues, a bit of gospel-ish a capella, but overall just a good, tight, hard-rocking band. Serena Ryder was great too! Sold-out crowd, eveyone having a good time, my date and I both left with that good, after-concert feeling. I'll definitely come to their next shows that come to Dallas.

  • Inspired by the Blues

by JamesA on 10/16/09House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

This band has been around for at least 10 years now and they have been getting better each time they perform. The Show at the Dallas House of Blues was an amazing sold out performance. Inspired by the music of Blues legend Buddy Guy performing in the Big Room next door, Need To Breath masterfully wound through material off their new album mixed in with some older material and a Tom Petty song thrown in. They Skipped many of their songs from the album "Daylight" but played a number of songs off of "The Heat" but skipped "Signature of Divine" and "Shine On" which may dissapoint some radio fans. Bear Rinehart's vocals were amazing and Brother Bo did a great job singing as well. Backing vocals from bassist Seth Bolt and drummer Joe Stillwell were spot on. Experience these guys in these smaller venues before they get too big and move to the larger venues. Bigdaddy says MUST SEE!

  • Needtobreathe = Needtosee

by JoshWax on 10/15/09House of Blues New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

I had the privilege of seeing Needtobreathe last night for the first time ever. After looking up Youtube videos of them playing in concerts, I could tell they probably put on a great show, but I was seriously blown away last night live. Seriously, if you ever get the chance to see these guys, TAKE IT. I took eleven other people with me last night, half of whom didn't even know who they were, but everyone left feeling like they just saw one of the greatest concerts of their lives. Also, both openers were well worth seeing. As eager as I was to get to Needtobreathe, I didn't mind waiting a little longer to listen to their stuff.

  • Needtobreathe...incredible band

by eclecticmusicfan on 10/15/09House of Blues New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 4 out of 5

What a great show!!! I took a friend who never even heard of them and she ended up buying all 3 of their cd's!!! Need I say more!!!

  • by Anonymous on 10/15/09House of Blues New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

It was amazing. I would recommend anyone to see them. They are a modest and honest group. If given the opportunity, I would see them again. And Matthew Mayfield is an incredible artist as well.

  • Need to Breathe are great!

by mommy2moobug on 10/15/09House of Blues New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 3 out of 5

Enjoyed the show very much! They are awesome, that lead singer is so talented. They didn't go on til 10:30, which was pretty late for a Wednesday night, but all and all was a good show.

  • CD is great but NEEDTOBREATHE is PHENOMENAL LIVE!

by BGWKU on 10/6/09Exit In - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

First time to Exit-In and the show was unbelievable. Needtobreathe did a great cover of Tom Petty's "You Rock Me" and an awesome acoustic set at the end of the encore for "Something Beautiful". Great show, great entertainers, beautiful music and a nice venue. Favorite Moment - During Something Beautiful, Bear asked us to get close and be quiet to be heard over the crowd. In the build-up of the song, the audience's singing got too loud and he stopped and told us politely to shut our mouths so he could sing. :)

  • Needtobreathe

by needtobreathefan on 10/3/09Exit In - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This is one of the best concerts I have ever been to due to this band and the opening acts being some of the most talented people on the face of the earth. They put on a great show and really need a better venue in which to perform. Visibility and seating was very limited.
