About

The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, also known as March Madness, is the annual Division I Men’s Basketball tournament that began in 1939. Composed of 68 men’s college basketball teams across the U.S., the highly-anticipated competition determines the National Champion through a series of single-elimination games over three weeks. The tournament format follows four regional brackets with teams ranked from one to 16, plus an additional eight teams competing to claim the last four main bracket slots during the First Four Games. For the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the First Four games start on March 18 and 19, followed by the First and Second Rounds between March 20 and 23, Sweet Sixteen on March 27 and 28 and Elite Eight on March 29 and 30. For the fifth time, the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas will host the Final Four and National Championship games, on April 5 and 7 respectively.

Wow, The Texas vs Wake Forest game was great. Worth the price. Can't wait until the Sweet 16 next year here in NOLA. The cheerleading squads were cool too!

The city of Providence passed with flying colors. I hope that the NCAA considers Providence in the future and gives it the opportunity to host again.

Enjoyed Round 1. Great time. great venue. Could use a bit better screens on the scoreboard to see highlights and scores.

  • NCAA Tournament in Providence...Amazing!

    by Tony769 on 3/21/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

I recently attended the NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament in Providence, Rhode Island and the event was terrific! The facility (The Dunkin Donuts Center) is a top notch facility and the City of Providence did a great job supporting the tournament. The restaurants surrounding the Dunkin Donuts Center were great and I would definitely return to Providence, RI to see the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament!

  • Unbelievable, Baby!

by Showmaster on 3/21/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

The games were great. #3 Georgetown becomes the first #14-#3 upset since 2006 (I was at that game at Auburn Hills too). #10 St Mary's played fantastic basketball and gave us the shocker over #2 Villanova. The venue was fantastic for viewing the game. The Dunkin Donuts Center is a surprising NCAA pick because it seats less than 12,000. But that meant even the worst upper level seats had a good view of the action. The arena is poorly designed for a two-game format though. The small concourse and poor architecture layout of concession stands and restrooms meant you could barely move between games. Even worse than the DCU Center (but not as bad as Univ of Dayton Arena). But still--I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

The excitement and enthusiasm of college fans, upsets, team basketball, and watching the skill of coaches that you may be unfamiliar with as they make their adjustments. What a great way to experience the game.

  • NCAA Second Round in OKC

What a double victory! #1 ranked KU loses to Northern Iowa and the K-State Wildcats win out over tough-playing BYU!!!

  • MADNESS + PROVIDENCE = LEGIT

by Ctothedothtml on 3/21/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

A tournament like none other in a city like none other. This was a great event that featured some special basketball teams and passionate fans. NCAA rules that disallowed alcohol sales and re-entry were the only downsides. Everything else was a lot of fun. I had the time of my life.

We had a great time! But it would have been better if NCAA had notified us of game times.

  • NCAA play was enjoyable

    by cop4shore on 3/21/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 4 out of 5

Lack of mens bathrooms and only 2 workers in concession stand was a prblem in getting refreshments and not missing action on court

  • Games and venue were fantastic!!!!

It was really a great event. I watched every game for all three sessions in providence. The venue being small made it even bettter. There wasn't a bad seat in the house. I would go back in a heartbeat! Fantastic!!!!

  • Incredible

Nothing like watching the tournament with the underdogs winning. Its amazing watching the small schools beating up on the top schools in the country.

  • March Madness in OKC!

by soonerstorm on 3/21/10Ford Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 5 out of 5

Does it get any better than the NCAA tourney? The teams provided the excitement, and the Ford Center staff enhanced the experience with a beautiful, clean arena with very tasty food, albeit a little overpriced (that's to be expected though). Plenty of parking options, and Bricktown nearby gave us a plethora of restaurant choices for the session breaks. Please host again!

  • NCAA Tournament

by Titanbob on 3/21/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

The games were excellent but the NCAA does a terrible job of truly promoting the ENTIRE tournament. They make it so that people in attendance are isolated from the happenings at other sites. There was no scores from other games displayed on the auxillary boards in the arena. Scores were only updated 1-2 during the game being played. They control the instant replays that happened for the game being watched.

  • The Venue was electric, the Arena folks great.

by SurfinTerp on 3/20/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

  • NCAA March Madness

by Craig0480 on 3/20/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Every basketball fan should see this at least once. My daughter graduates from Wofford College this year and they made the dance for the first time in school history. Since it was relatively close, we managed to get tickets and came to Jacksonville for the weekend. I don't know how the other venues are, but the Veterans Memorial Arena staff are very professional and pleasant. Ticket takers, ushers, food and souvenir vendors, parking attendants, all were extremely helpful. Even though Wofford lost in the first round, they played Wisconsin tough to the end. As a Wofford fan, it was a tough loss, but as a basketball fan, it was a great game to watch.
