About

The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, also known as March Madness, is the annual Division I Men’s Basketball tournament that began in 1939. Composed of 68 men’s college basketball teams across the U.S., the highly-anticipated competition determines the National Champion through a series of single-elimination games over three weeks. The tournament format follows four regional brackets with teams ranked from one to 16, plus an additional eight teams competing to claim the last four main bracket slots during the First Four Games. For the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the First Four games start on March 18 and 19, followed by the First and Second Rounds between March 20 and 23, Sweet Sixteen on March 27 and 28 and Elite Eight on March 29 and 30. For the fifth time, the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas will host the Final Four and National Championship games, on April 5 and 7 respectively.

  • Great Wins for KSU

    by Wildcat61 on 3/21/10Ford Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 4 out of 5

Being an avid Basketball fan as well as a KSU Alum, having our team play in OKC was like it being down the street. The easiness of getting to the tourney for the fans and being close to home was great! and the Ford Center is a great place for BB games. Have been to many NCAA games thru the years with my son in places not nearly as nice and in places that we had to fly to and rent a car -- It was also great to just go on line and buy your tickets and pick up when you arrived at the Games.

  • Buzzer beaters make it all worth it

by Sandramarie on 3/21/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

The games were exciting. It would have been nice to have a little more time between games two and three since we had to leave the stadium.

  • NCAA OKC 1st & 2nd Round

by twonickel on 3/21/10Ford Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 4 out of 5

Great Facility, Friendly People and plenty of great places to eat. Only complaint is that NCAA lets CBS dictate start times on the games and starting games at 9PM and 7:30PM can be avoided. Cattleman's Steakhouse in the Stockyards has a great steak, but expect to wait if you go after 5:00 PM

  • Tournament was solid

by showhighlights on 3/21/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 4 out of 5

Overall the games were fantastic the only recommendation would be fewer timeouts extended to media timeouts, and showing the highlight of other games in progress

  • 2010 NCAA New Orleans Regional 1st and 2nd rd

by lawboy33 on 3/21/10New Orleans Arena - New OrleansRating: 4 out of 5

New Orleans itself is a great city to host this kind of event. However, the arena itself was not that great. They never showed any replays on the big screen. There was no way to tell how many fouls each player for the teams had (which is normal fare for b-ball games). The only stats that were available appear on a super small screen on each end of the arena which is very difficult to read. The food in the arena was terrible. Granted you shouldn't have high expectations when eating arena food but still. We had a very bad experience with most of the food that was served.

This was lots of fun. During time out on the floor it would be good if you would put trivia questions or something on the board. It gets very old watching the cheer leads over and over.

The city of Providence and the Dunkin Donuts Center did a wonderful job in welcoming the people to the event. It was well organized, everyone was friendly and helpful. Trinity Brewery restaurant was friendly and food great. The games were terrific with unexpected even with the upsets which of course messed up my bracket - but it was fun to see the underdog win. Our seats were at the very last row yet we still had a good time and had a good view of the game. I hope next time I win the lottery for tickets I can also get closer seats. It's good that the Center has good seating wherever you get assigned. I hope Providence is chosen again for this event. My family and I enjoyed it very much.

  • Venue was perfect for the regional games

    by Chip1985 on 3/21/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

The Dunkin Donuts Center was agreat venue to see a basketball game, especially the first and second rounds of the 2010 NCAA tournament.

  • Nothing Like March Madness in Providence

by IndianaBoy on 3/21/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time to attend the NCAA tournament and it was an amazing experience. First of all the Dunkin Donuts center is a wonderful place to watch a basketball game with 11,000 other basketball junkies. It's modest size means there is not a really bad seat in the house. Being able to see 6 games in three days was a real treat to begin with but seeing three classic March Madness upsets made it unforgettable. The only thing I've experienced that was more exciting was the Indiana High School basketball tournament back in the good old days when it was a single division, winner take all affair. This wasn't quite that good but it was pretty close.

  • Great games!

    by george1212 on 3/21/10Ford Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 5 out of 5

I hadn't been to an NCAA Tournament basketball game in 30 years. It was great! We saw 2 great games (KU-UNI & KSU-BYU). I shouldn't have stayed away for so long. Wish the weather had been a little better.

  • NCAA in Providence

by Chrmik on 3/21/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

The event in Providence was very well done. The arena was very nice and the city looked good. There was plenty to do and with numerous bars and excellent restaurants throughout the city made for a fun time for all. The mall was very nice as well.

by NeoGeo on 3/21/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

This year's tournament proved again to be one of the best events in all of sports. Great action in Providence with big upsets and exciting finishes make the Big Dance one of the best events to attend year after year!

what's the deal with not selling beer! at bowl games beer is sold, so why not at the basketball tournament? and why were there no replays? what was the point of that?
