About

The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, also known as March Madness, is the annual Division I Men’s Basketball tournament that began in 1939. Composed of 68 men’s college basketball teams across the U.S., the highly-anticipated competition determines the National Champion through a series of single-elimination games over three weeks. The tournament format follows four regional brackets with teams ranked from one to 16, plus an additional eight teams competing to claim the last four main bracket slots during the First Four Games. For the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the First Four games start on March 18 and 19, followed by the First and Second Rounds between March 20 and 23, Sweet Sixteen on March 27 and 28 and Elite Eight on March 29 and 30. For the fifth time, the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas will host the Final Four and National Championship games, on April 5 and 7 respectively.

  • awesome basketball

    by ttman1 on 3/22/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 4 out of 5

The line up, court, seats, and City of Providence were great. Compared to other venues the games were competitive and entertaining. The Dunk Center concourse was lousy. The width of the concourse, the lousy concessions and inadequate rest room capacity really dampened the overall experience.

  • Seats

    by BballFan4life on 3/22/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 2 out of 5

Was very disappointed in our seats. There was no mention of obstructed view when we bought the tickets. Section 122, seats 11-18 can't see the court totally. The basket obstructs the opposite basket. It was a serious rip off.

by Stingers12 on 3/22/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

Outstanding basketball games. HP Pavilion San Jose is a wonderful facility. Shame on the NCAA for playing the Final Four in the middle of a football field.

Great event -- venue staff was ready to go, everything was very clean. Food was good and not extremely expensive compared to other venues. We could see really well from our seats in the 300 section. Very nice event.

  • Jacksonville Venue NCAA Basketball Tournament

by thunderchunder on 3/21/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The Jacksonville Vererans Memorial Arena was a great venue for the basketball tornament. The parking in the deck was close and convenient. The arena staff were very helpful and friendly. The arena itself was new and each area had a decent view of the court. Everything was great except for one thing. Why do you refrain from giving updates of games from other venues? One update per half and at halftime is totally unsatisfactory. During the first session, an update was given of first session games in other venues. These games were late in the second half, and scores were close. During the next "update", only the second session game scores were presented. The first session's game results were omitted. This is totally unsatisfactory! This prevented me from giving an overall rating of 5. While the facility and staff earned and deserve five stars, providing updated scores of games in the other venues is dismal, and should be corrected, maybe an update during each long television timeout after the 16 minute and 10 minute mark.

  • Pretty good

    by jp1424 on 3/21/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 4 out of 5

Over all I thought the tournament was pretty good. The T.V. timeouts were a little long. I am not sure if it was a NCAA thing or what, but it would have been nice to have the other scores from the rest of the games posted and more up to date. It also would have been nice if their was a beer garden or something like that to pass some of the time with.

  • GREAT GAMES IN SPOKANE

by AGRFROMPORTLAND on 3/21/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 4 out of 5

WE SAW SEVERAL GREAT ROUND 1 AND 2 GAMES IN SPOKANE. EASY TO GET TO ARENA AND PLENTY OF PARKING.

  • basketball games was great!

  • NCAA BB

by BBJunkie on 3/21/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament speaks for itself. It's an experience every college BB fan should experience at least once. The Providence Dunkiin Donuts Center is a more intimate facility which enhanced the experience.

  • Great tournament in an excellent Venue

by UmatillaGuy on 3/21/10Ford Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 4 out of 5

In spite of the last day being terrible weather with snow and ice, it was still a great time with good teams and exciting play. Worth the price of admission.

  • 2010 March Madness is just that!!

by redcaprich on 3/21/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

This is the 4th time I've been to this event. Each time I get chills when I first walk into the arena and it happened again this time. Met a lot of nice people from various universities. Recommend researching food establishments and locations before attending these events. Great, great time, better than a NFL playoff game in person!

  • by WaSue on 3/21/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

The staff at the HP Pavilion were very cordial and welcoming; they did a great job of clearing the arena between games and getting us all back in for the second set of games Thursday. Not an easy task and I've seen it done VERY poorly in past years at other NCAA venues. The arena is a good basketball venue ( not too large), nice location with comfortable seats.

  • "Good job"

by Mauna on 3/21/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The arena in Jacksonville, FL was great. Well organized, enough people to take tickets and direct patrons to their seats, to answer questions, etc. Plenty of restrooms to avoid lines. Facility overall very clean. Food available good and fresh. Ample patrols for parking and directing traffic. NCAA vendors for team shirts and hats were well-stocked and had ample help. Announcers were well-informed and kept up with scores at other venues and gave sufficient information re start times for games as the tournament progressed. Everyone working at the arena was pleasant and polite and had sufficient knowledge to direct patrons as needed. Traffic flow around the arena was well managed and we were never delayed in getting away from the arena. Well done, Jacksonville.

  • first and second san jose

by pastavita on 3/21/10HP Pavilion - San JoseRating: 3 out of 5

Thjs is a great venue, BUT to not have one of four California teams is ridiculous. With the economy as it is, and the East Coast bias in basketball - a local team would have greatly enhanced the participation of fans. If Syracuse is the number one in the West, then, they should play all games in the West. The Western first and second rounds do not get the number 1 and 2 seeds. The Spokane slate was much stronger. To send teams from coast to coast defeats the enthusiasm of March Madness!

  • Great action

by whodatlouv on 3/21/10New Orleans Arena - New OrleansRating: 3 out of 5

The games were pretty competitive and exciting. The parity made the games better. During halftime and in between games their was no entertainment. I thought they could have atleast showed coverage from other games in progress.

  • NCAA tournament was awesome

    by hoop10 on 3/21/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

The facilty was top notch for a basketball game, the city welcomed all with open arms and the hospitality was great. Overall it was the games I came to see and they did not disappoint. Anyone who enjoys sports should check out the NCAA basketball games if they come to your city. The no alcohol policy of the NCAA was actually a good thing as there was no trouble at all in the arena.

  • by BobbyMac24 on 3/21/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

The overall games was great and I enjoyed it very much. The only complaint was that they did not provide enough updates on other tournment game scores during this region.

  • Love those Wildcats!

by LouisianaCatFanatic on 3/21/10New Orleans Arena - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

This was a weekend to remember, watching the UK Wildcats in the Arena while spending a fantastic time with my brother and his family. We had made the trip Thursday for the opening round and returned for this game which was even more spectacular. The only criticism I may have is the lack of facilities in the area surounding the arena but all of the people working security and for the event were friendly and I enjoyed them very much - I have a tendency to talk to everyone!
