About

The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, also known as March Madness, is the annual Division I Men’s Basketball tournament that began in 1939. Composed of 68 men’s college basketball teams across the U.S., the highly-anticipated competition determines the National Champion through a series of single-elimination games over three weeks. The tournament format follows four regional brackets with teams ranked from one to 16, plus an additional eight teams competing to claim the last four main bracket slots during the First Four Games. For the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the First Four games start on March 18 and 19, followed by the First and Second Rounds between March 20 and 23, Sweet Sixteen on March 27 and 28 and Elite Eight on March 29 and 30. For the fifth time, the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas will host the Final Four and National Championship games, on April 5 and 7 respectively.

  • No Power BBall Teams

by Obbone on 3/22/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 3 out of 5

Sad that we had no major conference teams like from the Big 12 which had a total of 7 teams in the NCAA tournament. Further, the HP Pavillon should have had a scoreboard of all other games in progess or finished. Ran out of souvenir merchandise on first day like March Madness shirts and on second day had no more souvenir soda cups.

Amazing game, New Orleans was great -- trip of a lifetime.

  • You gotta love March Madness!

    by Fertimes3 on 3/22/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 5 out of 5

The experience as a whole was amazing. But I was especially impressed with the games on Sunday. The only issue that I found disappointing was the long line that formed in between Sessions 1 and 2. It made us late for the beginning of the game. If we had been told that the building would be cleared and the time that the doors would open, we would have timed things a little differently and would not have missed out.

  • Another great weekend

by ncaatournamentfan on 3/22/10Bradley Center - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

We've been going to the NCAA tournament for several years and it is always a lot of fun. The Bradley Center is a great site for the event. Lots to do in the area and a very nice arena. There isn't a bad seat in the house and the fans were very nice.

  • NCAA 1st and 2nd Rounds

by Goboilers on 3/22/10Ford Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 5 out of 5

In spite of the cold, wintery conditions on Saturday the event was outstanding. The Ford Center is an excellent venue to watch basketball.

by gnageypasture on 3/22/10Ford Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 5 out of 5

Allie and I went to Okla. City to watch the basketball games last The first round . My granddaughter was amazed at the size and the capasity of Ford Center. Of course we were disappointed when Ks. Jayhawks were beaten on Sat. night. It was a an enjoyable event for me to share with my granddaughter, and one she will long remember. Everyone was very nice, and hospital at the games.

  • Time on the Floor

    by outahere00 on 3/22/10Bradley Center - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

every 4 min time on the floor a little too excessive plus normal time outs, there were some time on the floor called not more than 45 seconds after a team time out. Would have been nice to have some type of 1/2 activity, even show other games on the jumbo tron

  • March Madness

by gpudgy on 3/22/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Great venue! Parking was excellent, great facilities. I can't wait until Jacksonville hosts another tournament!!

  • by Zak7 on 3/22/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

Fans should not be allowed to enter the seating area until play has been stopped- time out etc. Signs clearly stated this, but talking with event ushers, they had been instructed to not enforce this requirement, although they were instructed to enforce it at Sharks hockey games

  • event was awsome

by epostie on 3/22/10Ford Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 5 out of 5

Went to Oklahoma city this weekend . It was our first time to a First and secound round tourn. We stayed in Bricktown , which was a10 min walk to the Ford Center and with all the restaraunts and bars within walking distance, not once did we have to drive our car the whole 4 days we were there. I would recommend going to another tourn. in the future to anyone whether you like basketball or not, it was an awsome time and we got to see the #1 seed get upset on Sat.!!!

  • by DocBAB on 3/22/10New Orleans Arena - New OrleansRating: 4 out of 5

The tournament in New Orleans was wonderful, we had great seats and payed face value . The tickets were delivered as promised and we will certainly go again. I was surprised that the games were so poorly attended.

  • by Anonymous on 3/22/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The arena at San Jose was outstanding for Rounds 1 and 2 of the NCAA Basketball Championship. The only thing that I would suggest would be better updating of other basketball scores around the country. They were very slow in the "reports". Other arenas keep running scores on their side score boards.

  • by Anonymous on 3/22/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 4 out of 5

The event space was good, but the concorse area was very cramped between games and halftime. Not sure if this was just due to the volume of people there or if the concorse area was not as large as other venues.

the city of Providence should be proud of the great event that they put on. they did an excellent job with the weather too

  • NCAA Bracket: Too Far From Home

by ZagGurl on 3/22/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 2 out of 5

I believe I set higher standards for the event and was extremely disappointed when the day arrived. First off, Utah State being the closest team to Spokane, was pathetic as a reach to being a close team. I mean why couldn't Montana, Washington, California or even St. Mary's be there since it was a given that they weren't going to put Gonzaga. Which is probably why most missed the first game of the 2nd session to watch Gonzaga play elsewhere. Second, you never got to see how the other brackets were doing just an occassional announcement in a timeout. Nor could you watch another game on the screen while you were between games. If you didn't have a blackberry or internet on your phone, you wouldn't know. Somehow the Spokane Chief & Spokane Shock allow you to know other team scores during the game but the NCAA doesn't want you to even though you pay the high price for your tickets. The event was a bust to me because I really didn't care how any of the teams and had no idea who to root for. If a Pac-10 Team or even a WCC rival was there, you'd have somebody to cheer or cheer against. I'm glad I got the chance to go but next year I'll save my money and watch from home, in a bar, or just go to the WCC tournament in Vegas where at least I know everybody playing.
