About

The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, also known as March Madness, is the annual Division I Men’s Basketball tournament that began in 1939. Composed of 68 men’s college basketball teams across the U.S., the highly-anticipated competition determines the National Champion through a series of single-elimination games over three weeks. The tournament format follows four regional brackets with teams ranked from one to 16, plus an additional eight teams competing to claim the last four main bracket slots during the First Four Games. For the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the First Four games start on March 18 and 19, followed by the First and Second Rounds between March 20 and 23, Sweet Sixteen on March 27 and 28 and Elite Eight on March 29 and 30. For the fifth time, the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas will host the Final Four and National Championship games, on April 5 and 7 respectively.

  • NCAA Men's Basketball 1st/2nd Round Games

by Qbald on 3/22/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Great games, GREAT upholstered seats! Only downside at the facility (Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena) was the very limited quality food choices and the very limited number of food outlets. If all you wanted was popcorn, soft pretzels or a hot dog you were OK, but a long day of basketball leaves you in need of something more. There was ONE location for a cheeseburger, ONE location for a sub, ONE location for a cheesesteak and ONE location for a carved sandwich on the entire main level serving about 10,000 people. This was by far the worst from a food choice and food outlet standpoint of any of the venues I've been to over the last 5 years.

  • Providence NCAA Sessions 1+2+3 were AWESOME!!

    by Tru79 on 3/22/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

Luckily, my friends and I had the great opportunity to check out 6 NCAA games last weekend in Providence RI. The tickets for our seats were great. We were about 20 rows up just right of the basket. There really isn't a bad seat in the Dunkin' Donuts Center, as it's not as big as the normal arenas (TD Bank North etc). The atmosphere throughout downtown Providence was electric! People from all different places were here to root on thier teams, and the vibe was great. Hopefully the tournament will make a return back to Providence in the near future!

  • NCAA Round 1 and 2

by Nickie66 on 3/22/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed the facility. It was nicely laid out and we found our seats easily. The games were fun, and the bands were very good. We love going to the first rounds yearly. This was our first time in Jacksonville...and we would recommend it!

  • This is why I love sports!

4 of our 6 games were close, down to the wire, with 2 buzzer beaters. Even though our seats were 14 rows up in the second level, we could see all the action and didn't feel like we were in the "nose-bleeds". It was an awesome weekend of basketball!

At least half of the games were exciting. If not the games, the school bands and the cheerleaders were great fun to listen to and watch. The acrobatics of the cheerleaders were very entertaining. I also enjoyed just interacting with other fans attending the event. Simply speaking, the overall college atmosphere was really enjoyable.

The NCAA March Madness Round 1 basketball games were great and the facilities were well taken care of.

  • Any basketball lover should attend!

by BadgerLuvr on 3/22/10Bradley Center - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

My group had a fantastic time at the Bradley Center this past weekend. Even though our seats were kind of high up, we still greatly enjoyed all six games we attended. The variety of food available was appreciated, though a few more vegetarian options would be nice. I found that the pizza kiosks ran out of cheese pizza and never had pizza with veggies--but 2 or more meat pizzas were always available. It would have been nice to see some of the video footage during timeouts or fouls that TV viewers get, but I guess CBS is not permitted to show this at arenas, or NCAA is not permitted. In any case, if you are a basketball fan, you can't miss these games!

It was a fun experience. The BYU/UNLV game was awesome.

Based upon the amount of empty/unused seats for EVERY game and for both days of the tournament, I was disappointed to not get a superior seat location.

  • Terrific Tournament

Had a blast, best basketball since last regional we attended

  • 2010 NCAA Men's Basketball Rounds 1 & 2

by Johnk44 on 3/22/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent venue for basketball. Great site lines. Well organized, clean facilities with plenty of concessions. Only draw backs include few updates displayed on games at other venues and line ups for reentry between sessions 1 and 2. Otherwise I think San Jose did a superb job.

  • NCAA Men's Basketball Opening Rounds

by Hoops6 on 3/22/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

HP Pavilion is a terrific venue for NCAA basketball. Numerous, varied and good food choices from the concessions. The host, San Jose State Spartans, did an excellent job. Can't wait for 2013 when the regionals return to San Jose.

  • GOOD HOOPS

    by LYNNETTE5 on 3/22/10Bradley Center - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

IT WOULD BE APPEALING FOR FANS TO LOOK IN ON OTHER GAMES PLAYING DURING HALFTIME RATHER THAN THE "TRIVIA" THEY PUT ON THE BIG SCREEN. IT WOULD ALSO BE BENEFICIAL TO HAVE OTHER SCORES POSTED MORE FREQUENTLY.

  • NCAA Tournament was great!

    by dmw8000 on 3/22/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

Not only were the games great, but the city of Providence did a great job making it feel like a real party atmosphere

  • Disappointing

by TM4654 on 3/22/10New Orleans Arena - New OrleansRating: 2 out of 5

The games were good, but the atmosphere was lacking. Very infrequent updates on other games occurring at the same time in other regions. TV's within the concourse area did not have any of the other games on so we could not follow those other close games/upsets - not even during half-time or between games. No replays were shown o the jumbotron. Lastly, many souvenir shirts were already gone by the end of the first session and were not restocked for later other sessions.
