About

The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, also known as March Madness, is the annual Division I Men’s Basketball tournament that began in 1939. Composed of 68 men’s college basketball teams across the U.S., the highly-anticipated competition determines the National Champion through a series of single-elimination games over three weeks. The tournament format follows four regional brackets with teams ranked from one to 16, plus an additional eight teams competing to claim the last four main bracket slots during the First Four Games. For the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the First Four games start on March 18 and 19, followed by the First and Second Rounds between March 20 and 23, Sweet Sixteen on March 27 and 28 and Elite Eight on March 29 and 30. For the fifth time, the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas will host the Final Four and National Championship games, on April 5 and 7 respectively.

  • COLLEGE BASKETBALL 1ST & 2ND ROUND MARCH MADNESS

by sauce316 on 3/23/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I was able to purchase front row seats and watching the Duke basketball program live was a dream come true. But watching Cornell play great basketball and pull of two upsets help conclude and great experience.

Good view of the court. Got to see some excellent players in great games! Section 314 of the New Orleans Arena was positively frigid, and I was not the only person who was freezing.

  • The March Madness was awesome.

The tournament was well-organized. The games were officiated in a very business-like manner. My seats were good and access to the rest rooms was great. The Jacksonville staff was courteous and extremely helpful. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The play was top-notch.....some of America's best teams were there.

  • vanilla tourney

    by JB34 on 3/22/10Bradley Center - MilwaukeeRating: 3 out of 5

great tourney, but the NCAA should keep their hand off it! Give us games on the jumbotrons during halftimes and between games. Let the local flavor come out at each venue!!!! Regular replays form different angles on the important plays, as on TV. Not 4 replays per game. It was a fun weekend, but the tourney, is much more enjoyabe on TV,

  • NCAA Men's Basketball tourney was great!

by BuzzInWA on 3/22/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 5 out of 5

The six games we saw in Spokane were fabulous! I've seen about 32 NCAA tournament games over the last 10 years. Of those games, maybe two were only decent games...the other 30 were excellent! You can't beat the atmosphere and enthusiasm. One complaint: Due to turnover of part of the seats (those allocated to the schools) the venues have to be emptied between sessions 1 and 2 on the first day of the tournament. Years ago there was a 2-hour break between sessions, so you could grab a bite to eat and have a cold beverage. That's nice after sitting for two games. It's also good for the surrounding businesses. It seems the past few years the venues in the West have only a minimal break between sessions, maybe 30-45 minutes. I suspect it's due to television considerations. I notice the same thing doesn't happen on the east coast or midwest. It's BS, because you often miss the first several minutes of the first game of Session 2. You also miss the pre-game warm-ups, introductions, etc. A decent-sized basketball facility cannot be emptied and refilled in 30 minutes. NCAA and CBS: Give us a break!

  • Michigan State Wins at the Buzzer

by MTZagFan on 3/22/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 5 out of 5

I've watched March Madness on TV all my life, but it's nothing like the 'real' thing -- the bands, the dance teams, the cheerleaders, the fans, and the PLAYERS! It doesn't get any better than watching one of your favorite teams -- MIchigan State -- win over Maryland right at the buzzer and be there in person! It truly is "madness."

Great games, great setting, easy parking, great location.

Had a great time watching the NCAA events at the New Orleans Arena except for the usher that worked in section 109 on Saturday event. He was a very rude individual. I was waiting to walk back down to my seat till there was a break in the action and he informed me to get to my seat now! I said I wanted to wait till there was a break in the action and he said move it now or I'll have you removed. All other workers at the arena were very helpful except him.

  • NCAA is Outstanding

by BBDel on 3/22/10Bradley Center - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I attended all 6 games in Milwaukee, round 1 of the NCAA tournament. Good seats from section 420, good food, wide selection of food, inadequate rest rooms, average seats with no cup holders like Detroit. The teams were excellent with a great view of the floor.

by dlady on 3/22/10Bradley Center - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

My husband and son-in-law both really enjoyed attending this event and hope the NCAA Road to the Final Four will be back at the Bradley Center in the near future.

  • 1st and 2nd round action - 2 buzzer beaters

by choiman on 3/22/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 4 out of 5

I had no rooting interest in any of the teams playing in Spokane last weekend, but me and my 3 buddies had a great time watching ncaa tournament ball. We saw two buzzer beater games on the 2nd day!

  • 2010 NCAA

by UDFLYER on 3/22/10Bradley Center - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

Die hard basketball fans, as I, should be able to get tickets lower than highest level available(400 Section) People left before game was officially over. My family members and I stayed throughout every game. Yet people who buy single session tickets are sitting in the 200 section.

I thought everything was very well ran for an event this size. It would have been nice to be able to buy a cold beer, but the basketball was still amazing

  • by Holysmoke54 on 3/22/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The event was fantastic. I had a wonderful time. I just wish you could purchase tickets for one game and be on a waiting list for tickets for the second game if you team wins. I gave away two tickets because my team lost in the first round. I really think that would be a better way to sell the tickets. The arena was fantastic, not a bad seat in the house. The attendents were friendly and very helpful. I would recommend that everyone should go to a tournament game..

  • 2 sessions to close in time to one another

    by C0had on 3/22/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 3 out of 5

I had a great time as far as the basketball was concerned. My only issue and it kind of soured my experience was that there was very little time between the sessions. After the first two games ended they had everyone exit the stadium. You then had to line up and wait to get back in to the stadium. There was not enough time in between the two sessions for me to get back into the stadium to watch the first game of the second session. I missed the first few minutes of that game. Also it would have been nice to have had like and hour or an hour and a half so that I could have gone to get something to eat. The Spokane Arena had good snacks, but nothing that was passable for a meal. When you are somewhere for nearly 10 hours it would be nice to be able to eat a meal. The second day was much better.

  • NCAA 1st & 2nd Round Games in Providence

by CollegeHoopFan on 3/22/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

Great time! Seats were good. The "Dunk" is a smaller arena so all seats looked like they would have a nice view. Weather was great while we were there. Lots to do in the city. Great games too!

The civic center itself is a good venue, no bad seats, and the seats are wide, comfortable and padded and upholstered. No real way to walk there - it is in the center of town but not really downtown. Go Cornell !

  • by Anonymous on 3/22/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

Providence was an excellent host city. The Dunkin Donuts Center is a great venue for basketball. The games were a lot of fun.

  • NCAA-advanced sale seat locations

by hoopview on 3/22/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 3 out of 5

The organization of the event was done very well. The teams were spectacular to watch, as were the cheerleaders, dance teams and Bands. My only complaint was my seat location. I (like thousands of other people) entered the lottery and “won” the chance to purchase tickets to this event. 10 months ago we paid the $195.00 per ticket (we bought 2) and were placed in seats without being asked about location preference. To say the seats were “view obstructed” would be an understatement. Our seats were behind the backboard with NO view of either basket. Those people who walked up to the ticket window and purchased their tickets at the last minute had far better seats then I did for spending my money almost a year ago. I have attached a picture taken from my seat. The seats were so close together there was no “leaning” for a better view. I will NOT be purchasing tickets if we are lucky enough to get this event in our city again. I didn’t see a single basket being made in the over 15 hours that I spent at the arena this weekend. I will also never pre purchase tickets again for an event like this again. I did go to customer service and inquire about moving my seat and was given the option of going into the 200 level, but that is not what I thought I was getting for my money when I paid 10 months in advance.

  • Awesome

    by Zagnut2 on 3/22/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 4 out of 5

A great event. I was thrilled to be able to attend. In person, much better than on TV. Spokane did a super job of holding the event. I was disappointed with the NCAA in that they didn't have the scores of the other games displayed anywhere. We were all basketball fans trying to get updates on the other games in progress during our games. The idea of evacuating the arena between sessions on Friday was really dumb. A lot of fans arriving for just the second sessions games missed a lot of their teams games. Overall though the event was smoothly run and the fans from out of town were impressed with the arena and Spokane.
