About

The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, also known as March Madness, is the annual Division I Men’s Basketball tournament that began in 1939. Composed of 68 men’s college basketball teams across the U.S., the highly-anticipated competition determines the National Champion through a series of single-elimination games over three weeks. The tournament format follows four regional brackets with teams ranked from one to 16, plus an additional eight teams competing to claim the last four main bracket slots during the First Four Games. For the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the First Four games start on March 18 and 19, followed by the First and Second Rounds between March 20 and 23, Sweet Sixteen on March 27 and 28 and Elite Eight on March 29 and 30. For the fifth time, the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas will host the Final Four and National Championship games, on April 5 and 7 respectively.

  • The Tournament was epic

by WesinID on 3/23/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 5 out of 5

The Spokane Arena is the best place to watch sports period. There is no bad seat in the house and when you add the best mens basketball to the mix you can't not have a great experience. I can't wait until the Tournamnet returns to Spokane so I can go again.

  • Best Baskeball Experience I've ever had.

by drtmthgorila on 3/23/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

Without a doubt, this was the best sporting event I have ever witnessed. The amount of energy that was expelled by everyone, teams, cheerleaders, bands, crowd, was just enormous. The experience was spectacular, and our group talked about trying to repeat this next year. The quality of the games played, by far, was better than any that I have ever witnessed. N.C.A.A., thank you so much for bringing the opening rounds to Providence. I hope that they will be back soon.

  • Great time had by all in New Orleans

  • NCAA Tournament in OKC

    by Bronco33 on 3/23/10Ford Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 3 out of 5

It was a good event overall. There were no problems that I noticed. The huge drawback in my opinion was that they were not constantly displaying scores from other games that were going on around the country. If you didn't pony up for the suites with TV's, you had to catch scores at timeouts. With display screeens circling the arena just showing "NCAA", I thought they definitely could have had real time scores on display. I found myself having to go to the phone or try to sneak peaks at the suites. It would be great if they would show the CBS broadcast on the screens for everyone to watch, but I'm sure there are dumb rules or contracts against that.

  • Omar is the Real Deal!!

by OllieBoy on 3/23/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

Although a die hard Friar fan and, consequently, a long time Big East supporter, I was enthralled by St. Mary's style of play, the tremendous efforts of both Ohio and Robert Morris, and the amazing Ohio band as well as their fans. Admittedly, I am biased. But, I have been to NCAA tournaments in several cities (i.e., Boston, Hartford, Worcester, etc.) and Providence is the best. The best arena, the best restaurants, and the best street scene should put Providence at the top of the list for a return NCAA round as soon as possible.

    1) To many (and too long) TV timeouts really takes away from the flow of the games. The NBA deals with the TV timeouts in a much less intrusive fashion. 2) Sell tickets per game, not per session, and/or allow ticketed people to re-enter between games. This would allow more people to see the games, as some split the tickets, and others can only go to one game, not two or four.

  • Awesome event in an awesome city

the games were fun. the city was amazing. great food city.

  • Milwaukee NCAA First Round

    by Nea2z on 3/23/10Bradley Center - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

This was a fabulous event and the Bradley Center did an outstanding job with prep, security, cleanliness to make a good presentation to basketball fans. What was a disappointment was the overhead screens showed too much NCAA and the logo, instead of showing highlights of other games during the timeouts. There wasn't even much replay of fouls being committed, something all fans like to see. This just shows that the NCAA is too controlling, and they need to get out of that mindset.

  • Blowouts

by Anonymous on 3/23/10New Orleans Arena - New OrleansRating: 4 out of 5

I'm glad I was able to go to the game. I wish the games had been closer (in the score). That way it would have been more exciting to watch. But I would definitely go again.

  • NCAA and Providence A perfect Match !!

    by RedFoxes41 on 3/23/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

Everything about this event was super. Great games, the weather was perfect, fans enjoyed the area, plus the food and drinks were plentiful !! Wish this event were in Providence every year.

  • Great venue except for food

by BucksRule on 3/23/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

The games were excellent and the seats comfortable which is a big consideration when you watch 4 games in one day. The food was pedestrian at best. You go to a Giant's, Raider's, A's, Warriors, whatever Bay area venue and the food is great. If this is the typical food for the Shark's I would demand an upgrade if I were a season ticket holder. I still had a great experience, but it could have been spectacular. I'll go again and eat off site, there's plenty of great restaurants in the area.

  • Great basketball at all six games.

  • 2010 NCAA Div I Men's Basketball 1st & 2nd Round

by uncledan60 on 3/23/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This is a great venue for Basketball and must be considered for future use as both a 1st Round and a Regional site. Our seats were not that good, behind the basket and in row r, but we still felt close enough to the action to appreciate the event. This is our 11th year of traveling to the NCAA event and this venue is one of the best for basketball. Plenty of reasonable price parking, including several lots with in and out privledges, enough outside concessions for the pre-game and the break between sessions. Only draw back is limited entry points.

  • Love it!

by NatalieB on 3/23/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 5 out of 5

I really love going to see basketball and had so much fun. We had some excellent games. The only thing I hated was having to leave during the 1 and 2 session and have to wait outside in line to get back in. It was a very long day but I really loved it!

  • Great games, great atmosphere!

by DougEFresh on 3/23/10Dunkin' Donuts Center - ProvidenceRating: 5 out of 5

Providence put on a great show. The atmospehere inside and outside the arena was tremendous. Extra events were scheduled in and around town, the restaurants were well prepared to handle the crowds, and there were plenty of outside areas set up to enjoy some food and drink, including one spot with a big screen TV. The games were tremendous and the fans were into every game. Not a bad seat in the house. Easy access to the arena and parking from the highway, an extremely enjoyable experience.

  • NCAA 1st and 2nd Round Games in Jacksonville

by ZoeDoe2000 on 3/23/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 4 out of 5

It was a great expeirence. We were lucky enough to see a couple of upsets - which the early rounds of the NCAA tourney is all about. Would go see it again.

  • by Anonymous on 3/23/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Jacksonville Arena-great venue for the games and outside activities. Very fan friendly. Security was present which was very good. Will go back to Jacksonville for Basketball games again.

  • by Anonymous on 3/23/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The event was great. However, the arena is clearly a dated facility in need of upgrade. The overhead scoreboard in the middle of the arena has a very small replay screen and it is difficult to see clearly. It is far inferior to a similar scoreboard in the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa. Also, it would have been better if updates from other games were displayed regularly instead of only once or twice during the session. I would think twice about going to this event at this arena again - and I live in jacksonville!!

  • by Anonymous on 3/23/10Spokane Arena - SpokaneRating: 4 out of 5

limited activity besides the games. Spokane is hospitable, but there just isn't anything worthwile to see or do.
