About

The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, also known as March Madness, is the annual Division I Men’s Basketball tournament that began in 1939. Composed of 68 men’s college basketball teams across the U.S., the highly-anticipated competition determines the National Champion through a series of single-elimination games over three weeks. The tournament format follows four regional brackets with teams ranked from one to 16, plus an additional eight teams competing to claim the last four main bracket slots during the First Four Games. For the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the First Four games start on March 18 and 19, followed by the First and Second Rounds between March 20 and 23, Sweet Sixteen on March 27 and 28 and Elite Eight on March 29 and 30. For the fifth time, the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas will host the Final Four and National Championship games, on April 5 and 7 respectively.

  • 1st NCAA game

by Prepdaddy on 3/18/18American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

I took my son to a NCAA game to Dallas from MN. It was an awesome experience! We now will go to a game every year from now on. The arena was very nice. The only problem we had was, I thought I was buying best available tickets. There were many more better tickets. That was disappointing.

As much as Oklahoma, Alabama, Iona and Rhode Island wanted it and worked for it Duke and Villanova have it.

  • Tournament was so fun

by Reety on 3/17/18University of Dayton Arena - DaytonRating: 4 out of 5

If you are a basketball fan it is fun to watch two teams-even if you don't know them well- put their heart and soul into winning and getting into the Big Dance. Watching the bands and cheerleaders from the schools brings an added excitement of entertainment during time outs. They are just as competitive as their teams! Feel good for the winners. Plenty of food and drink. New seats at UD arena are pretty awesome. Always a full house and great atmosphere.

  • First four

by kbball on 3/17/18University of Dayton Arena - DaytonRating: 5 out of 5

The first four is a really fun event. UD arena is an amazing place to watch BBall. The crowd gets into the games. The games are usually close and there is always one game that is amazing. This year the St Bonaventure game rocked! .

Dayton Arena is easy to get in and out of and a fun venue for the First Four.

  • Decent basketball with 2 competitive games of 4

by tsowiz on 3/16/18University of Dayton Arena - DaytonRating: 4 out of 5

These games were decent but not great. One game was close to the end. However, that game was one where both teams had very poor shooting percentages. The venue was pretty good. It had adequate parking but too few access and egress points. You spent a long time waiting to get parked and to get out. It did have a decent amount of concession stands and adequate men's and ladies' restroom space. The highest tier of seats was further away from the court than in most arenas. All in all, I enjoyed the experience.

  • First Four is where it all starts: Never miss it!

Great event and we plan to always be there no matter who's playing!

  • UD Arena was awesome!

by Archer1319 on 3/16/18University of Dayton Arena - DaytonRating: 5 out of 5

Dayton Ohio is a basketball town and the UD Arena is part of this tradition. The games were very exciting and the atmosphere was electric! The Arena was full and the crowd was enthralled. I watch so many March Madness games on TV hosted by other venues and they often aren't even 1/2 full. With Dayton being at the cross-section of I-70 and I-75, it is also easy to travel to. We have taken our family to these 1st 4 games for 3 years in a row and now it is our tradition. UD does a great job of welcoming the players and fans alike. The seats are comfortable and the new jumbo-screen is great!

  • Great Atmosphere

The arena was packed and the fans were really into the games.

  • NCAA First Four Rocked!!

by Anonymous on 3/16/18University of Dayton Arena - DaytonRating: 5 out of 5

My first First Four at the University of Dayton was an amazing time. I highly recommend going for both nights. The ticket price is very reasonable. There's plenty of parking with ease getting out at the end of the night. Just an all around good time. Don't think twice about doing it just Do It you'll have no regrets

  • March Parking Madness Dayton

by Arec326 on 3/16/18University of Dayton Arena - DaytonRating: 2 out of 5

Games are fantastic fun, good pairings by design. Parking was deplorable, to quote a former first lady. My guest for one game gave up and went home after a long wait in the traffic jam. You get a lot of miss-management and aggravation for your outrageous $15 parking fee. Hard in, Hard out. Similarly, UD arena is old and has no concourse around the arena, so fans circulating around the game site were continually in pedestrian traffic jams. Getting a hot-dog or making it all the way to the restroom between games took a long time and lots of patience. Can't imagine a better city than Dayton for fans who love basketball, but wish they had a modern facility and better access.

  • Awesome experience

by jmpatrick44 on 3/16/18University of Dayton Arena - DaytonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time at the First Four and now it will be an annual event. The energy, fans, sold out crowd, and friendly people all over Dayton will bring me back.

UD Arena is a great venue. Perfect sight lines. Friendly people.

  • Worth the trip

by BlueDevilsRule on 3/16/18University of Dayton Arena - DaytonRating: 4 out of 5

I have been to every round of the tournament and with the exception of the Final Four, this has the most energy! Everyone in the arena is excited for these games. And the players don't disappoint. This was my first year attending the First Four, but I will definitely visit Dayton and this event again. If you love college basketball, you will love this event

  • First Four

by JeffWC on 3/16/18University of Dayton Arena - DaytonRating: 5 out of 5

Had a great time going to the First Four this year. 3 of the 4 games were very competitive and I love watching College Basketball. UD arena did some major upgrades last year in the in the lower level seats which are more comfortable and have drink caddys now. Upgraded all the Scoreboards and TVs and it makes it a much more visible attraction. Parking is reasonable and not a far walk for customers. Vending is your normal items but they were there was quick service and quality food. If I had any complaints is to have more bathrooms. Lines were long even for the Men.

  • March Madness was amazing!

by Tomspixie on 4/1/17Bankers Life Fieldhouse - IndianapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Our family loves college basketball, and March Madness is simply the best for that! Getting to experience the 1st and 2nd rounds is always incredible with the environment and venues...and the basketball!!! One of the best events for us! There was one thing t hat made the experience lose a little of it's luster is that we have collected the soda cups from several of the NCAA March Madness tourneys through the years. Banker's Life did not have any for day two. It seemed odd, and really made me sad!
