bc 4 umass lowell 3 a great game, good eats and great seats!
NCAA ran a nice event but the venue in Worcester is dated, concessions bearly adequate and although restrooms were clean they were very crowded. If the event was a sellout, the venue would have not been able to service the crowd. Event staff did a godd job dealing with what they had available.
I thoroughly enjoyed the NCAA regional finals game between UMass Loell and Boston College and the venue was a perfect fit for the event.
Nice facility. Not much food variety. Long lines for food that blocked walk ways.
The new dcu center looks great and is very accommodating. Reminds me a lot like a mini-Td bank north in boston. The Hockey game was awesome even though I was rooting for Lowell. College sports are always fun to watch because the fans are just as pationate as the players.
The hockey games were great, but the DCU center was not equipped to handle the large amount of people. First day between the two games, for food you had a choice of hot dog or sausage, if you wanted to wait you could get a chicken patty on a roll. It was the worst selection of food I ever seen. The second day was worse, they ran out of paper towels in the restrooms so forget about dry hands. After the first period, went to get a bottle water and told they ran out of bottle water in the building. So I end up getting a lemonade for $10!! If the DCU can't handle the vast amount of people, why hold it?
$20 dollars to park in addition to the $80 dollars for the 3 weekend games. This is expected, but certainly not priced for kids. Venue refused to allow re-admittance if you left the building. Had a 1 hour layover between games 1-2. Friends and I decided to blow off games 2-3 rather than sit in the cramped seats any longer. Will spend my money on another NHL game next year.
I was less then thrilled when I couldn't get in the second day without going to the ticket window and waiting 15 minutes while they figured out how to get me in since my electronic ticket was already scanned on the 1st of the 2 days that was on my 2 pass. You need to make this seem less for the customer, not intrusive and a hassle!
i went to the games with my 8 year old son. he had a good time even though his team lost in the final. i had a good time seeing him so into the games
We have gone to numerous Regionals and Frozen 4s, but we always enjoy Bridgeport the best. The Webster Bank Arena is wonderful. The people are great and the fans have lots of fun while being well behaved. A-1 experience. Love those pep bands! Felt bad for those traveling from Vermont, a 2pm start is a bit too early!
The hockey was terrific. However, the venue was lacking. We spent all of Saturday's events trying to get warm. The air circulator was blowing extremely cold air on the spectators throughout both games. Sunday's game was a little warmer however everyone still had to keep their coats on to stay warm. Being so uncomfortable lessened our ability to enjoy the games.
This was the second time I was able to catch part of the NCAA hockey games at DCU. I did not see game 1; however games 2 and 3 were terrific to watch. I had no favorites going in and so was able to just enjoy the skilled by both sides. My longtime friend liked UMass Lowell yet even he was enjoying the games as sport (he is a hockey player for many years including traveling twice to Europe twice while in high school.) I am definitel;y planning on attedning upcoming such games when they come to the DCU!
It was a great experience to watch this game in person. After many years of attending hockey games, this is by far the best year that we have achieved the many awards and trophies. This is a great accomplishment for the team and for the hockey program at Union College here in Schenectady, New York.
The hockey was great and the DCU Center was perfect for handling the event. Great views from all over and they had a lot of concessions available so the lines were never long. Parking was a bit much ($20 each night), but overall good value and great fun for the kids.
The event was AWESOME !!! Our tickets were right next to the BC bench. My kids were high-fiving the BC team before and after each period. I couldn't see one of the corners but it was priceless.
Was not thrilled with the out come because my team lost but the tournament was amazing. I've gone to the past two year's regional's and the competition and skill level is amazing.
Went to NCAA Northeast Mens Hockey regional. Event was great as always and the arena was nice. Only negative comment is that it would be nice if they would open the arena when they state it will open. For example, on Saturday the opening time announced was 3:00 and the doors did not open to fans until about 3:20 so everyone had to stand outside in the freezing rain. On Sunday it was announced that the doors would open at 4:00 and the same thing happened. Might sound like a tiny thing to complain about unless you were one of the ones standing outside the doors in the freezing rain.
Hockey was great, the review screen poor. They didn't show us reviews of all the goals, goal reviews, penalties and other items. Half time shows were poor. Either have the teams compete fairly or not at all. Get rid of the mascots and others "helping" out. Events were mostly boring anyway.
great seats at a great price .... get to see 3 games for under $100 ..how can anyone complain watching some of the best ncaa hockey teams in the land
Game was good. But crowd was kinda quiet, and didnt seem to be too into the game
