We had a wonderful experience at this event. Seattle was so much fun.....

  • NCAA Div 1 Final Four in Seattle

by Anonymous on 12/23/13KeyArena - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

Organization of the event, and quality of volleyball was top notch. Key Arena does not accommodate a full house very well - the walking area is too small. I can't believe all the vendors ran out of food at the beginning of the second semifinal match! No hotdogs, pizza or other substantial food left. This was at 7 pm on a Thursday when people come from work to the event and haven't eaten dinner. Very disappointing. But the volleyball was awesome!

The volleyball was amazing but very disappointed with the venue. I'm local to Seattle and quite frankly was embarrassed by Key Arena's accommodations. During the semi finals with a sold out crowd, half of the concession stands were closed. The ones that were open ran out of food almost immediately, including bottles of water! One of the few concession stands that did have food ran out of plates and another one was selling hot dogs that weren't cooked all the way. The restrooms were very dirty, even early on in the event, and ran out of supplies as well. The concessions were better during the finals but at that point, many spectators had chosen to get food elsewhere after Thursday's debacle. Key Arena did not represent the Seattle area very well.

  • Good event, bad venue planning

    by Girl08 on 12/23/13KeyArena - SeattleRating: 3 out of 5

The event was awesome. However, Key Arena only opened maybe half of the concessions open so between matches the lines were 30-60 minutes long. The arena was nearly sold out so I have no idea why they would open so few stands. Instead of waiting in line we just waited until after so I'm sure they lost out in sales also.

  • NCAA Womens Volleyball was bgreat

by Mrdonn on 12/23/13KeyArena - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

The skill level of these teams was amazing and most games were competitive. The atmosphere was electric and the outcomes weren't always predictable. I had a great time.

The seats and view were excellent. My wife and I felt like we were almost on the court. We had a wonderful evening and much of it was due to the great seats.

Event was great, food service terrible, all lines at least 45 minutes long, concession stands ran out of food, not enough help in concessions

  • Incredible teams, heartbreaking exit by UW

by Faura on 12/22/13KeyArena - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Highly anticipated semifinals: the UW women's volleyball team had performed at championship level throughout the season, and most of the crowd was there to see them overcome two of the best teams in the league to make it official. But when they were routed by Penn State, it was painful and it tore at all the fans' guts. It was hard to come back on Saturday to watch other teams compete in the final. This was one of the best volleyball teams UW has had in several years, and they could have won, but after their incredibly emotional win over USC a few days earlier, they just couldn't tap into any more mental reserves. Key Arena itself isn't a great location. It seems stuck in the late 70s, 80s. Dull corridors, dated stats displays and TVs.

Watching NCAA volleyball playoff matches in person is awesome, great play and supportive fans

  • NCAA was exciting !!

by BelaLuna on 12/22/13KeyArena - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

It was awesome to see great support from all those who attended, coming from all over the U.S. To Seattle. But Key Arena was not prepared for the crowds. Wait was too long for food, that was really bad.

  • Great event

Great event. Always lots of fun. And finally Coke products actually served in the venue! Doesn't get any better. Looking forward. To next year.

Disappointment due to University of Washington Huskies loss. The event was very nicely run, although i did encounter a problem. my seat was not available, but the staff was totally gracious about it and accommodated me with a comparable seat. i am sorry i do not recall the guy's name that assisted me but he was fabulous, even though we were separated fighting our way through the crowd (on the way to a new seat) he continued to search for me. when we reunited he accompanied me to the new seat! great job!

What a great experience for my girls and myself. The players were so nice and gracious to the girls.

  • NCAA Volley ball overwhelms Key Arena

by FemSportsFan on 12/22/13KeyArena - SeattleRating: 3 out of 5

Key Arena had a captive audience for food on Thursday night and it took an average of 45 minutes to get anything to eat. If service is going to be this poor they should allow outside food. Ivar's clam chowder was very good. Took forever to get out of the overpriced garage and then took us 45 minutes to go 2 miles. Traffic should have been handled with some cops directing traffic on Mercer. Can the arena pay extra to have this happen? It might be a good investment of some of the high parking fee.The snarled traffic, not the parking fee pushed us onto the bus.

  • So great! Wonderful experience.

by brandykd on 12/22/13KeyArena - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Everything was great. Wished we'd been able to get closer seats though.

  • by Ted230 on 12/22/13KeyArena - SeattleRating: 2 out of 5

Event is great but Key Arena is awful. Seats are so tight and way to close to each other. The concessions stands were so slow and the concession workers were so slow that they could barely move and serve their orders. I understand why the NBA moved.

  • Final 4 VB Champ Fun

by BoomVB on 12/22/13KeyArena - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

Volleyball action was great. Teams were exciting and great competition was seen. Could have been more Fan options for kids. Training sessions filled up too fast. During Thursday games food ran out prior to the end of the first match. Customers were very upset. Purchased bottomless popcorn and there wasn't any left. Most of the food was out. Had problems stocking for the UW/Penn State game. Food issues were not a problem for the Championship game. Overall experience was that I would recommend anyone interested in Volleyball attend this event.

  • NCAA Women's Vball event

by Oldvballfan on 12/22/13KeyArena - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

The volleyball was absolutely great fun to watch. Lots of talented young ladies inspiring even younger players! Thought all the fan events were great for all ages. Was disappointed with the no outside food allowed, especially when all the vendors inside ran out of food.
