    Excellent hockey competition

by Haomom on 3/30/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

Good setting although the traffic getting into Providence was awful.. wish there had been better traffic control going into Prov. Parking awful.. Yet once we got into the facility we had a terrific time PC played its heart out just could not score!

NCAA Regionals are excellent, ...and affordable!

by justturnright on 3/29/17U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

My buddy and I always get together once a year to watch college hockey, and up until recently we did that be attending the Frozen Four. Sadly, the cost of the tickets themselves, plus hotels, etc for the 4 days (minimum) it takes has slowly become prohibitive. However, the Midwest Regional (or any of the Regional Tournaments, I assume) gives you a similar experience for a FRACTION of the cost. The crowds are smaller, so great seats are available throughout the arena. Also, the semi-finals and finals are on consecutive days, so it takes a day less than the Frozen Four to play 3 games. I've seen the NCAA hockey Midwest Regionals in Cincinnati (twice) and South Bend, IN (once), and both locations were wonderful: the same great hockey and the same passionate fans as the Frozen Four, ...AND it's less crowded (that's a 'plus' to me), at least 1 fewer nights in a hotel, and faaaar less expensive. Recommended.

    NCAA Regionals were terrific

by hockeyrefkenneth on 3/28/17U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

Love going to Cincinnati especially for hockey related events. Wish NCAA would put more regionally-based teams at this location such as any Big 10 team or Notre Dame.

    College Hockey at its Best

by Schultzwheat on 3/28/17U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

Enjoyed all three games. With only four cities hosting the regionals, you should absolutely attend this event in the future. The Cincinnati "BANKS" area along the river near the Arena was a good place to eat, drink and be merry. I'll return next year for sure.

Good Event but those NCAA rules

by LostHuskie on 3/28/17U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

The event was enjoyable, but could have had more fan interaction during breaks. We don't need a several minute montage of NCAA awards where neither team playing is involved. I know the NCAA thinks they can tell everyone how great of an organization they are, but a vast majority of the people are there to cheer on their school or watch great hockey. If a school brings a pep band, let them play more than a few songs during the whole game. Now to the NCAA rules. If you are at an all afternoon tournament, a person might want a beer during the 1 hour between game break. Since they didn't allow beer sales, the weather was great, and the AC was cranked it would be considerate to allow people to leave and come back in. If there were beer sales, better stadium food options, and attendenance wasn't an issue, I could understand. Don't be afraid to let people have fun at these events.

    NCAA Hockey Experience

by Bubba1776 on 3/28/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

The Civic Center is a great venue for a hockey game. Great crowd. If you want to drink any alcohol, be aware because this is a college event, so no booze is sold.

    Under-attended but a good take

by ConcernedHowieFan on 3/28/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

NCAA college hockey is a spirited experience, especially in the playoffs ... too bad more people don't realize it. Would have been better attended if the local team (PC) would have won their opening round game, but still high quality hockey and exciting despite the minimal crowd at the Dunk.

    Dunkin Donuts Center Disappoints

by Fangirl17 on 3/27/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

We bought our tickets online but weren't allowed to print them. The DD Center did not have enough staff to support the hundreds of fans who did the same. We missed the 1st period while we waited in line to get our tickets. We were there 30 minutes before the game. Major disappointment!!

    Awful experience

by CollegeHockeyDisaster on 3/27/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

Whatever genius came up with the idea to send everyone to the will call window to get their tickets at the same time should be fired. We waited over an hour for our turn and missed half the game. The option to print at home should have been available as well as the ability to use the app on your phone to show your tickets purchased in advance.. Extremely poor experience!

    NCAA Hockey

by Bob22M on 3/27/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

The only problem was a long line at Will Call. Didn't seem as though the clerks knew what to do. Clearly wasn't a smooth process. What didn't help was the fact that the booth specially for the first 1/3 of the alphabet was not open. What was up with that?

    The worst!!

by AngryPCparent on 3/27/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

I all my years of attending events, I've never seen one as poorly run as this one. I have attended numerous events at The Dunk (PC basketball, NCAA Hockey in '15, NCAA Basketball in '16) and all went smooth. This year, for some reason, tickets bought on Ticketmaster were will call pick up. Upon arrival 15 minutes prior to the games, the line was literally 500 people deep. Not only that, there were only 3 windows open and the lines were not organized at all which led to many arguments among frustrated patrons. Also, there was only 1 security person I saw. It's a miracle there were no incidents. In the end, we did not get our tickets until the end of the 1st period. So we paid almost $20 in fees on top of the $45 to miss a 1/3 of the game. The organizers of this event should be embarrassed.

DD Center could not have screwed up worse

by EPH2 on 3/27/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

Purchased tickets on line 6 days in advance of the event. The tickets had to be picked up at will-call. The game was scheduled for 4pm on a Friday afternoon. I arrived at 3:25 (after driving 1:50 minutes with my 14 year old son) and attempted to go to will call. The DD center did not have a will call. Had to wait in line with everyone purchasing tickets. Did not get through the line until 4:15. Missed the first 5 minutes of the period. The line was still about a half hour deep after I received my tickets. The staff at DD did nothing to facilitate the process. The NCAA, DD Center, and Brown University could not have made this a more miserable experience if they tried. Simply allowing people to print tickets at home is a no brainer and a function that every college game I have attended provides, including the Hockey East Championship the week earlier. Congratulations on a major fail. By the way, to respond to buy the tickets before knowing the locations is not an option. If you follow a team or a conference, that will influence which region to buy tickets to attend.

    Providence NCAA Hockey Games

by chf51 on 3/27/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

The entire event was fantastic. The Dunk is a great venue to showcase these games. Lot's of spirit from the schools and a great crowd overall. The games were of a high caliber as expected. Hope to have the NCAA Hockey tournament back soon.

    venue was horrible

by Anonymous on 3/27/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

of all the events i have attended in my nearly 70 years this had to be most frustrating of all.the will call wait (no printing tickets on your computer) was over an hour and was chaos. arrived 15 minutes before face off and finally sat in my seat for the drop of the puck for the second period. in this day and age there is no excuse for this kind of pathetic organization. there were no employees at the will call area to add any sense of order and it quickly turned into a near free for all for jockeying to the will call windows. i don't know who to blame but believe me, i will never attend an event with this kind of disorganization again!

Providence great site for NCAA hockey

by TomMul on 3/27/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

Dunkin Donuts Center is great facility for college hockey and having numerous restaurants in the area worked well. Only complaint was that tickets at will call was slow, that is an NCAA problem that should we changed.

    Entrance disaster

by mnhockeytraveler on 3/27/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

Parking was a real issue. Not nearly enough for the 2/3 full stadium and no public transportation. No advanced printing or downloading of tickets. Everyone stood in line to pickup tickets that ordered through ticketmaster. Took over an hour to get tickets and missed have of the first period.

Disastrous experience at Dunkin Donuts Arena

by Cantab61 on 3/27/17Dunkin' Donuts Center - Providence

We bought tickets online through Ticketmaster but weren't allowed to print them out, so specified "will call". Got to the arena on time, only to find hundreds of fans queued up for eight ticket windows -- none of which was reserved for "will call" patrons. Were told we had to wait in line with everyone buying tickets. In 50 years of buying tickets on a "will call" basis, I've never encountered this discourtesy at any venue anywhere in the USA or any other country. It took 40 minutes to get through the line, so we missed the entire first period of the game. Also, our 6 year-old granddaughter needed to use the bathroom badly after a long drive. Gate agent told us that all restrooms were inside the arena, so she couldn't go until she had an actual ticket. Showed agent our proof of ticket purchase, but she refused to let my wife take the girl inside even with a promise to return promptly.

Getting tickets from will call was a nightmare they need to upgrade and get a more efficient system
