LOVE POLICE TOURING PRESENT

NATHANIEL RATELIFF & THE NIGHT SWEATS & C.W. STONEKING

COME TOGETHER FOR CO-HEADLINE SHOWS IN 2017

“Rateliff isn't simply resurrecting the ghost of R&B past like some garden-variety neo-soul necromancer: He's out to shake the sheets, sermonize and get downright elemental.” NPR

“(C.W. Stoneking) the hottest—and most enigmatic—blues artist in Australia” The Village Voice

In what is sure to be a high watermark for Australian music fans partial to a little future retro flavour, American soul and R&B sensation Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, and our own king of arcane rhythm & blues C.W. Stoneking will come together for a limited series of co-headline shows in March 2017. Following on from Nathaniel Rateliff’s barnstorming sets at Bluesfest, subsequent sold out Australian headline shows and the recent weeks spent sharing stages with C.W. Stoneking in the U.S, local audiences will now have a chance to experience the magic of this dynamic pairing for the very first time, as the duo of acts book shows in Sydney, Brisbane and a special pre Labour day weekend Shindig By The Sea in the post industrial waterfront location of Williamstown, Melbourne.

With a brand new EP A Little Something More From… just released in Australia via Stax Records/Caroline, 2016 has been a monumental year of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. Sold out shows, including the 9500 capacity Red Rocks Arena in their hometown of Denver, Colorado. TV appearances on Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert., TFI Friday and Later With Jools Holland amongst others has ensured the meteoric rise of one of the most exciting live bands on the planet. Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats go beyond just faithfully recreating soul and R&B from the past, they instead inject it with a dose of modern grittiness and vitality until it becomes the genesis of new sound where the echoes of the past are heard only while moving rapidly forward.

Not to be outdone, C.W. Stoneking has been making a huge noise taking the voodoo R&B sounds from his third album Gon’ Boogaloo to the world. With a string of sold out shows, a haul of rave reviews and massive press attention on its release at home, C.W. then set his sights on the world, first with successful tours in Europe and the U.K. then onto U.S. where he has steadily gained the attention of what is an impossibly huge market, recently scoring #9 spot on the U.S. Billboard Blues charts and critical praise from NPR, All Things Considered, World Cafe, PRI, The World and more.  We’ve known it for ages, C.W. Stoneking is the real deal, now the rest of the world is finally catching on!

    Absolutely amazing performance!

by Fan Extraodinaire on 9/29/23Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - Asheville

Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats were outstanding. Not a huge fan of the venue, as short folks can't see over the taller ones, and the seats are really far away.

Nathaniel and the nightsweats were great!

by MWD on 9/29/23Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - Asheville

Unfortunately Harrahs arena is dated and terrible for any event. Considering the tourism in Asheville we should have a first class venue

    ENTERTAINED!

by T.Cruzfield on 9/29/23Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - Asheville

In the Top three shows I’ve ever been to. Amazing band and energy. These guys are working hard. Nathaniel has James Brown dance moves and a voice that don’t quit. I will find another show asap, I’m willing to travel for these guys.

    GREAT CONCERT - VENUE OK

by BLUERIDGEMUSIC on 9/29/23Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - Asheville

Sierra Ferrel and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats rocked it out. Had never even heard of them until recently now a lifelong fan of both groups. Sierra's twangy cooing and vocal silk danced along the edge of old school bluegrass and modern country. NR&TNS brought an energy reminiscent of The Boss, Blues Brothers and Dave Mathews all mixed up and poured out on stage. Check'em out. Harrahs Cherokee Asheville is a nice smaller venue but the seats are more suited for a basketball game or sporting event. Majority of the seats require you to sit sideways and crane your neck to get a good view of the stage. As they say no pain no gain...Regardless would go there again but would pick different seats.

    Trouble with sound

by Patsy on 9/29/23Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - Asheville

The band performed well and ran through their hits, sounding much like their recordings. The sound in the arena, unfortunately, had challenges.

    Best show I’ve seen

by Springtime on 9/29/23Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - Asheville

The energy level was fantastic from start to finish. Loved that I knew almost every song but a couple new ones to add to what I already love about this group. They had the whole crowd moving to the music!

    Sound quality was sooooo bad!

    by Tracie on 9/29/23

I love love love the artist! The performance was super high energy with professional presentation -- but the sound was really unacceptable! We left pretty early into the concert. The music was sooo loud and very distorted. Instead of being able to hear the "music", we were served a blob of distorted sound! It was painful and intolerable! Such a disappointment! We have had this problem before at this venue in Asheville. Not totally sure what the problem is, but aren't there sound engineers who are interested in the quality of the experience for the concert goers???

    Great performers but Terrible Venue

by Chris on 9/29/23Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - Asheville

To no fault of the performers, the audio in this arena was AWFUL. The sound was cranked up to what sounded like the max as the speakers were cutting out frequently and the sound quality resulting from poor audio engineering ruined the event for us. We drove 2 hours and left early. We will not be attending an event here again.

    Loved Loved Loved

    by S. T. on 9/29/23Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - Asheville

We had a wonderful time at the show! My husband suffered a severe ankle sprain the day before the show and had to be on crutches. Our tickets were in GA, so it could have a terrible experience! But the precious lady in the handicap section allowed us to sit down so my husband could enjoy the show and not be suffering the entire time. Nathaniel and the boys put on an amazing show! First of many times I hope to see them!! The night went from possibly being a disaster to being one of the best nights ever!! Thanks to everyone at the venue for being so kind and accommodating!

    Fantastic live!

by Liz on 9/29/23Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - Asheville

I've been wanting to see them live for several years and they didn't disappoint! They sound just as great live as they do in studio. Highly recommend!

Great entertainers but way too loud

    by J P Quila on 9/29/23BMO Pavilion - Milwaukee

Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats are truly professional and are great entertainers. This is the second time seeing him live. This concert at the BMO Pavilion was painfully loud, which was disappointing and greatly detracted from the experience. Also sight lines weren’t great. Feet went numb from standing on the sloped concrete through most of the concert. Expensive food and drink.

    solid performance consistently

    by dogbreth2 on 9/25/23BMO Pavilion - Milwaukee

Nathaniel Rateliff WITH the Night Sweats is consistently a good time. Going from an afternoon Corona Capital Mexico City 2018 level band to FarmAid 2019 through headlining shows in 2023 the band has shown consistently excellent performances. Exceeded expectations. Like their sound? Like live music? Then GO

    Best Concert

by Catherine on 9/25/23BMO Pavilion - Milwaukee

It was by far the best concert I had been to in years. The minute they started the crowd was on their feet singing dancing hooting and hollering. I'd see them again in a heartbeet
