About

Comedian Nate Bargatze’s clean-cut and relatable humor is why The Atlantic called him “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up.” The Nashville, Tennessee native and host of the Nateland podcast found his voice in the mid-2000s with regular appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Bargatze was featured on Jimmy Fallon's Clean Cut Comedy Tour 2013, three years after he was named “New York's Funniest Stand-Up” at the New York Comedy Festival. Since then, Bargatze has been selling out arenas on solo tours and in support of comedy icons like Chris Rock. Bargatze’s signature deadpan delivery was showcased in his 2021 Netflix special, The Greatest Average American, which earned a Grammy Award nomination for the coinciding comedy album. His 2023 Amazon Prime special Nate Bargatze: Hello World became the most-streamed original comedy special debut in Prime history — with 2.9 million viewers in its first 28 days — culminating in Bargatze breaking the attendance record for Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Bargatze hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the second time in fall 2024 and also co-produced a holiday variety special titled “Nate Bargatze’s Nashville Christmas” with Lorne Michaels. In May 2025, Bargatze published his highly-anticipated first book, Big Dumb Eyes: Stories From A Simpler Mind, which became an instant New York Times bestseller. Coming up for 2026, Bargatze will host his new comedy game show, The Greatest Average American, which premieres on February 25 on ABC and Hulu, and will star in the family-friendly comedy film, The Breadwinner, which is scheduled to be released on March 13.

  • Good but not great

by Donna A on 11/26/25Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Nate was funny & the MC grew on me each time he came out. However, the three other comedians weren’t funny at all. We were a group of four & we basically all had a similar opinion.

This was our first live Nate Bargatze show, looking forward to the next!! The everyday topics that we all experience are presented to you and no matter the topic are applicable to our own life AND FUNNY! Today we are bombed with vulgarity and shock to entertain us; it is a breath of fresh air to be entertained without any suxual references or vulgarity..... a friendly show for all.

Funny, funny guy. Great material, every better delivery! Completely satisfied! If you have the chance, I highly recommend you attend his show.

  • Great Show - Very Funny

by Robert on 11/26/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

The show itself was great. There were some comedians who performed short sets before Nate and a host who was very funny as well. The show was great. The venue was in Charleston WV and the traffic management was just awful. They should have at least hired officers to manage the traffic. Traffic was backed up as far as the interstate and even though we planned to arrive 30 minutes earlier the parking garage was full (no notification to the line of traffic lined up to the interstate). We arrived 15 minutes late and there were still hundreds of people lined up to get in. Fortunately, the show started 30 minutes late and we were seated but many others had to arrive late.

  • Laughed Until My Face Hurt!

by MattyD on 11/26/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

We’ve seen Nate four times now, and he’s been hilarious every single time—but this tour absolutely topped them all! We laughed so hard our cheeks hurt. Julian McCullough hosted and perfectly set the stage for all the comedians, delivering fantastic crowd interaction and spontaneous jokes. Steven Rogers kicked things off with some real standouts. Nick Thune followed and, despite some guitar technical issues, still crushed it. Joe Zimmerman came third and had me following him on Instagram instantly. And then Nate took the stage—bringing his absolute “A” game. Even though we’d seen him before, this performance was on another level. He elevated everything and had the entire room rolling. I can’t recommend this show enough—it’s a must-see!

  • Went Smoothly

by trekiegirl on 11/26/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Buying tickets and using them was easy. Nate Bargatze was hilarious. I have wanted to see him for a while, then I saw that he was coming to Charleston, WV. Tickets were very reasonable. Great show.

  • Giggles

by JP on 11/26/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 3 out of 5

Not the best, not the worst. I was a little surprised by how short the show was and really only one big belly laugh the whole night. Lots of giggles just not the hysterical show I expected.

  • Great Time. Laughed thru entire show

by Boz on 11/26/25Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Nate is the funniest comedian ever. I’m was in tears from laughing so hard at his show. I Watch his Netflix specials and SNL skits over and over and i laugh like it’s the first time I’ve seen them. I’ll be at the next tour with new material.

  • We laughed all night!

The concert was great! Nate’s jokes are so funny, and I enjoyed the other comedians that opened for him as well.

  • Fun Time!

by MBCMOM on 11/26/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Nate is always hilarious and this time he brought along a host and 3 other comedians that were very funny too!

  • Great comedy, terrible sound

by Fan on 11/26/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Warm-up comedians were OK, Nate was great. Sound system in these arena venues is not great - hard to understand at times and with the round stage and performer having their back to you is even less intelligible so missed some of the humor.

This was the best comedy show I have ever seen! Hilarious and clean. Was nice to bring my daughter and friends and not worry about what would be said. What a great night!

  • Laughed Until We Cried

by Miss Margaret on 11/25/25Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This night was a night of joy and laughter. What a great comedian Nate truly is! We appreciate so much that it is good, relatable, clean, and honest humor. He speaks to everyone on any level of life or in any stage of life. We would enjoy seeing him again even if it were the exact same set. We all agreed, he was at the top of his game with this set of material. It is obvious with two sold out shows in this large venue that people are starving for wholesome entertainment. Our only "complaint"is that the show was 40 minutes past the advertised time to begin. It made it a little difficult with baby sitters. I am not sure who controls that issue. Thank you, Nate, for an evening of laughter. We ALL needed it!

  • He is so great. The whole group was great!

by MareMare on 11/25/25Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Still laughing. Host was fantastic as were each of the comedians and not one swear word! Loved it!

  • Glad he finally came to Greenville, SC

Nate is the Best!! Hope he returns to Greenville next year!

  • An Afternoon of Laughs

by Jodi on 11/25/25Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The show was very funny. The host was very good and very funny. The other comedians were pretty good also. Nate was great, as expected. The venue is very nice. The parking was good if you were early enough but getting out was really difficult with some lanes closed. I'm not sure how to improve that. Perhaps, directing traffic in one direction to get out of the venue area. Overall, a great experience!

  • Awesome time!

by Clover on 11/25/25Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I had never been to a comedy show and this one made me realize how much fun they are. Loved the fact that you could even take your kids or parents and not once be embarrassed about the material. So cool to see people of all ages enjoying this show. Great clean fun! Highly recommend!!!

  • Be More Transparent

by JMV on 11/25/25Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Nate was great, that's why I gave 5 Stars. But, if you're going to have essentially 4 opening-act comedians come on before him, don't start the night 35 minutes after the announced start time.

  • Disrespect at the Round

by Honest Jon on 11/25/25Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Nothing negative to say here about Nate's performance. He's great. But the entire event was soured by the delay in starting the show. It was scheduled for a 7:00pm start time, but the show didn't begin until 7:32pm. For those of us who made the effort to be in our seats and ready to go at 7:00, it was disrespectful to have us wait another 30+ minutes to begin. On the one hand, the number of people streaming in late was embarrassing enough that the host of the show was making comments and jokes about the late arrivals. If I were the performers that night, I would have felt totally disrespected by those arriving so late. On the other hand, for those of us who were on time, it felt disrespectful of us to make us wait to begin. My solution would be that since there's a declared time for gate opening, there should also be a declared time for gate closing. Let the show begin...on time!
