Watchng Napoleon Deynamite on the big screen was almost comparable to watching Rocky Horror Picture Show and throwing TP. Really enjoyed it! The Q&A wasn't quite what I expected, but it was alright. Overall, 4 stars.
First of all, my teenage boys LOVE this movie as much as I do. It is a brilliant little quirky movie that resonates with all of us. The cast was warm, funny, and accommodating to all. The only complaint I have is that the people would allow all their children to get up to the microphone and ask stupid questions. Over and over. The kids were kind of cute, but the majority of questions were dumb, time wasting, and requests for autographs. The cast was very patient with them but we were getting tired of stupid questions about Tina eating casserole. It would have been nice if parents had stopped giving kids free reign and asked more in depth questions. The cast was WONDERFUL. It was funny and worth seeing. I'd definitely do it again.
Loved the event. It was well put together. Awesome time to view the movie on a big screen and then get to hear the cast tell stories and take questions. Great interaction from them with the guests.
It was great being able to rewatch the movie in a theater again (despite just being a Blu-ray Disc), and enjoy the laughs and applause with a group of excited fans. The event was made even better by how positive the actors were. They answered every question thoughtfully, and made me laugh a lot. There wasn’t a hint of jadedness or celebrity about them, and it seemed like they were having fun.
They should’ve limited how many people could ask questions at the end. It was annoying when people started asking for autographs.
