About

My Chemical Romance are a rock band composed of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Formed in 2001 in New Jersey, MCR have become highly influential for their blend of rock, pop-punk and emo music along with unflinchingly open lyrics and theatrical live performances. Beginning with 2002’s I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, MCR have released four studio albums, two live recordings and three compilations. The band unveiled their major label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, in 2004 behind their first charting singles, “I'm Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena” and “The Ghost of You.” In 2006, MCR’s third album The Black Parade reached a career-high No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “Welcome to the Black Parade” peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100. After touring 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, MCR did not perform together again until 2019, followed by a reunion world tour between 2022 and 2023. The band headlined Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival in 2024. In 2025, My Chemical Romance embarked on a tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their landmark third studio album, The Black Parade.

  • The 10 of us thought you rocked!!!!!!

    by SuffernMCR on 4/25/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome that Liza Minelli was there! You could feel their energy when they perform! We loved seeing Gerard's mom headbanging! Would see again if they came back to town! They did a great job for a live performance. They had fun performing as well! You could tell. The lights were great! Set up was great! Why did you start soooo late though. Too much delay. Architects were talented/great but Neon Trees was a bit wacky! The best time! First concert for some of our group!

  • My Chemical Romance was as good as ever!

    by Personwhowenttoshow on 4/25/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

If you were ever a fan of the band, this is going to be as good as ever. If you haven't heard the new stuff, now would be the time. The show and the lights were fantastic. Once again MCR pulls back all the breaks, and are tighter musically than ever before.

  • My Chemical Romance was UNREAL

My Chemical Romance was awesome. Venue was awesome. Neon Trees was awesome. The Architects were pretty good. Overall awesome experience.

  • My Chemical Romance at Terminal 5

    by Jennysinspace on 4/25/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

I've seen MCR a few times and this was the first time that I wasn't completely blown away. They gave an amazing performance for Danger Days and played most of the album. However, since it's not my favorite album I was hoping to hear more from The Black Parade and Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. I was surprised that they didn't play "Teenagers," "This Is How I Disappear," "House of Wolves" or any of the headbanging songs from Black Parade. Also, they should have played some classic hits for the encore instead of the new stuff which was a weak way to end the night.

i wasn't overly impressed with the venue, but my chemical romance is AMAZING!!!!!!!! they are so talented and perfect!!! they definitely put on a great show.

  • MCR does it again!!!

    by musicarnera on 4/25/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

This show did not let me down! The Black Parade theatrics are gone, but the show still had huge presence. The Architects and Neon Trees rocked the stage and got the crowd going. MCR blew me away with the stripped down set while still having a massive stage presence and feeling like the show was a one-on-one experience with three thousand other people in the room. The energy was insane, and it was an unbelievable show!

  • My continuing romance with My Chemical Romance

    by Southernvisitor on 4/25/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I am addicted to MCR!!!! I love these fun loving, energetic, crazy, exuberant, take no prisoners, kind of guys.. They give their all, including picking tunes from all of their former CDs and giving the crowd exactly the right mix of new and well loved older tunes... I see them every chance I get and am never disappointed... Rock on MCR!!!!!!

  • MCR awesomeness

The show was amazing. The energy from the crowd was amazing, and the band sounded great. I will definitely see them again.

  • Of course My Chemical Romance rocked!

    by vvovakes on 4/25/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

This was my 4th viewing of My Chemical Romance- but the first time at Terminal 5. As far as the venue- it was decent- no complaints. The opening band- The Architects were rather forgettable. They seemed like a good band- but nothing really stood out to me. The second band- Neon Trees were all kinds of fun! I was pleasantly surprised by the lead singer's energy and perfomance skills. He got extra points for bringing back the 80's..... in a 2011 kinda way. I would see them again- as a supporting band. My Chemical Romance was great- they played all the new songs I figured they would. I was happily surprised by hearing Mama..... wasn't expecting that! I absolutely love their "up" feel as a change from the last album- although "Parade" is a favorite! I was excited to hear Planetary & Bulletproof Heart from the new album. I was a bit disappointed they didn't play Famous Last Words.... it has to be a crowd favorite!!!! Overall- good night!

The band was incredible of course!! The opening acts were great a well!! My only complaint us that the venue itself was too small to hold all of my chemical romances fans!! It was too hot and people were passing out. The band themselves were awesome! I love my chem!!

  • My Chemical Romance predicatbly awesome

    by lea10890 on 4/25/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

My Chemical Romance, as always, put on an amazing show. they are fantastic and make the long wait for the show worthwhile. The venue however was gross, and there was an old pipe leaking something gross on me most of the night (im serious). The opening acts were alright i guess but after waiting so long I would have rather had just had MCR play for longer than have to sit through two mediocre bands.

  • My Chemical Easter

    by JandZ on 4/25/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

The architects and neon trees were both super- planning to buy their albums right away! MCR was great- at least what I could see of it. We stood on the 2nd mezzanine to stay away from the pushing and shoving, but the tweens in front of us felt the need to stand on ottomans which was not awesome. Overall- great show!

  • by Anonymous on 4/25/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show. Seeing them in a small venue was great.

  • awesome!!!

    by LexNY on 4/25/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I went both nights and honestly was blown away by the perfomances of all three bands... MCR really put on a show and the fans were super energetic! the venue was perfect because you could see the bands from any location.. the mosh pit was the craziest ive ever encountered! would do it all over again!.. till the next time....

  • by Anonymous on 4/25/11Aragon Ballroom - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

PHENOMENAL PERFORMANCE!!! My sister and I had the best time in the world at this show!! MCR has definitely still got it, and this world tour definitely proves that.

  • MCR never fails to impress!

    by Lemon on 4/25/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Still on tour supporting their "Danger Days" album, My Chemical Romance gave New York another action -packed show comprised of old stuff, new stuff, and all the stuff in between! They NEVER disappoint!

So, the show was awesome, and i was lucky enough to be able to get second row from the barricade on Friday night. The venue seemed a little small to me, and it was a little hard to breath at times, but overall the show was amazing. seeing them perform all those songs, i almost died.

  • by Anonymous on 4/24/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I thoroughly enjoyed my night at the My Chemical Romance concert. Overall, they were outstanding and I cannot wait to see them again,. They are one of the best bands. Love them to pieces.
