About

My Chemical Romance are a rock band composed of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Formed in 2001 in New Jersey, MCR have become highly influential for their blend of rock, pop-punk and emo music along with unflinchingly open lyrics and theatrical live performances. Beginning with 2002’s I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, MCR have released four studio albums, two live recordings and three compilations. The band unveiled their major label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, in 2004 behind their first charting singles, “I'm Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena” and “The Ghost of You.” In 2006, MCR’s third album The Black Parade reached a career-high No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “Welcome to the Black Parade” peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100. After touring 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, MCR did not perform together again until 2019, followed by a reunion world tour between 2022 and 2023. The band headlined Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival in 2024. In 2025, My Chemical Romance embarked on a tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their landmark third studio album, The Black Parade.

  • Ehhh.. Kinda Dissapointed

by Hkelly12345 on 6/30/12Bamboozle Music Festival - Asbury ParkRating: 2 out of 5

I saw them at a music festival, and they did a very poor job in my opinion. They were barely singing, it sounded more like screaming. Plus, the crowd was so loud that you could barely even see them. Pretty much a let down in my opinion

  • FANTASTIC!!

  • BEST.SHOW.EVER.

    by MusicIsMyLife11 on 6/28/11Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

This was the best day of my life. I've been a fan of My Chemical Romance for about 4 years and i've been waiting to attend one of their concerts for forever, and on this day I actually got to go and see my idols live. We got there 2/3 hours early, and it was actually not a boring wait! We got to hear them practice, and there were trucks giving out free Snapple and Monster energy drinks which was really cool. Then when we got into the show, it was amazing. The opening acts were awesome too-particularly Circa Survive. They are my second favorite band, and to see them live almost made me cry, I was so overwhelmed. The crowd was huge-it was sold out, and that was a bit of an announce but I didn't really mind. MCR is amazing live, they have energy and Gerard's voice is like no other. I cried during one of their songs; "Welcome to the black parade" because it was just so beautiful. After the show my head, back, feet, legs, arms, and stomach hurt-but I couldn't have been happier! I couldn't go to school the next day because my legs/back/stomach hurt from the mosh pit-which was awesome! I can't explain how I felt that day in words...just..amazing.brilliant. THE best show of my life.

  • The GREATEST CONCERT EVER

by CamillaD on 6/10/11Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

When I first heard the opening acts, I mistook "The Architects" for a screamo band from the UK and got excited, then a little let down when I found out it was a different band. When I got to the actual show, I was extremely happy with The Architects, no longer let down, and actually bought one of their CDs after the show. I felt the band had great stage presence. With Circa Survive, I had heard the name but never the music, and was also pleasantly surprised when they were really good! I mean what was I expecting, My Chemical Romance picked these two bands, they must be awesome. Circa's singer was really connected with the audience. AND OF COURSE, My Chemical Romance. I had basically been desperately awaiting their return since the last tour, which I sadly missed. It was the greatest concert I have ever been to, by far. It reached and exceeded my expectations by miles. I could never have expected them to sound so amazing live. After the show, I managed to get Frank and Gerard's signatures, and even though Mikey and Ray went straight to their bus, and I was sad I couldn't get their signatures, I understood. It's very tiring and I'm inspired to get to see them push away their fatigue from the long tour and enjoy performing. Greatest night of my life.

Fantastic show! Fantastic Band! Fantastic venue! Cant wait to have them back in Oct!

  • by Anonymous on 6/1/11Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! Loved the venue. It was a bit cramped, but the small venue made it feel more intimate and no one was far away from the stage. My Chem was amazing as always, the sound was good, not too loud. The lights were very well done. The two opening acts were a little lacking, but that's just my opinion.

  • They rocked my socks off!

by LieutenantCool on 5/30/11Hollywood Palladium - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

My Chemical Romance were bomb. They were so enthusiastic, and energetic. They sound amazing live. And I just love them.

  • Worth the Wait~!

by CookieDove on 5/30/11Hollywood Palladium - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

I missed the tours they did during Three Cheers and Black Parade, but I wasn't going to miss this one. This was my first MCR show ever and it was definitely worth waiting out in Hollywood's bipolar weather. The band played with such enthusiasm and Gerard's singing was simply astounding. They were way better than I imagined they would be. Everyone was moving and singing along. I was so glad that they played songs from each of their albums instead of just their new one and engaged with the crowd. While the band exceeded my expectations, the venue didn't. It was beautiful on the inside, but the stage was nearly impossible for me to see and I was pretty close to the front. If you really want to see MCR at the Hollywood Palladium and are around five feet tall, go up to the balcony because you will not be able to see them unless you're right in front with no one blocking you and nobody likes people who try to shove their way to the front.

  • Best day of my life. ♥

by Raiku on 5/24/11Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Revolution Live was such a great place for My Chemical Romance to play at. It was personal and nice, and everyone just could interact with each other. My Chem was certainly blasting it to the back row. It honestly was the best concert I have ever gone to. I queued from 9 am in the morning to get a good spot, and I'm really glad I did. I've been a fan for a long time, so I was psyched to finally get to see them live. I hope they continue doing this for 10 more years, at least. WHAT A SHOW. ♥

  • Absolutely. Amazing.

    by TSO4Life on 5/23/11Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

MCR never fails to put on an excellent show! I personally liked the smaller venue, because I could feel the band feeding off our energy. They were just. Amazing. I cannot wait until I can see them in concert again.

  • MCR is awesome

by AngryhippyXer on 5/23/11Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

The Show was unbelievable. Every songs was played as if it was the closer. My Chemical Romance blew my friend and me completely away. The only problem was that the venue needs to open both exits so there is not a jam. I spent ten mintues getting crushed and pushed by the crowd trying to get out.

  • Best Young Band in America

  • Merci pour le venin ;)

    by AeroDelite7 on 5/21/11Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

MCR was fantastic, as always! (This was the fourth time I've seen them live!) My only disappointment with them was that they only performed one song from 'Bullets.' But the opening acts ate up a lot of time and they couldn't cover much more than the new album plus a few classics. On that note, I had no idea there were going to be opening acts. It was very aggravating waiting for them to finish their acts so MCR could finally come onstage. If you're a fan and you're going to this show somewhere else, and you don't care about seeing the opening acts, you can arrive at least an hour late. I wish I had. Also, the venue was terrible. The line for the front door was chaotic, and I waited in the South Florida sun for hours to get a decent spot. Then - at the last minute when the club finally opened the doors - they announced they'd be using a different door and the line would have to re-form by the other door. So everyone just ran! Some people fell over. And I definitely lost my spot. So I waited patiently in line for hours for nothing. Needless to say, I was furious, and this will be my last visit to Revolution in Fort Lauderdale.

For old and new fans alike, My Chemical Romance is known for their high-energy, charismatic and hard-hitting performances. Even if you don't know any of their songs, a few, or every single one of them by heart, they will be sure to blow you away with their precise musicianship and true dedication plus a positive message to all the fans!

  • Amazing!

    by AmyK1989 on 5/20/11Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

After not seeing them for four years, I finally got to see them... in a CLUB versus a stadium. I was in the pit the whole time, but had to move to the back of the pit later on after almost being crushed to death (crazy mcr fans). I still had a blast!!!!
