About

My Chemical Romance are a rock band composed of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Formed in 2001 in New Jersey, MCR have become highly influential for their blend of rock, pop-punk and emo music along with unflinchingly open lyrics and theatrical live performances. Beginning with 2002’s I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, MCR have released four studio albums, two live recordings and three compilations. The band unveiled their major label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, in 2004 behind their first charting singles, “I'm Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena” and “The Ghost of You.” In 2006, MCR’s third album The Black Parade reached a career-high No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “Welcome to the Black Parade” peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100. After touring 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, MCR did not perform together again until 2019, followed by a reunion world tour between 2022 and 2023. The band headlined Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival in 2024. In 2025, My Chemical Romance embarked on a tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their landmark third studio album, The Black Parade.

  • Lifechanging

by Liv on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Devo opened and I’ve been a devo fan since I was born. They rocked my socks off. My Chemical Romance is a band I’ve waited a decade to see. Frank and Ray shredded, Gerard sang straight into the soul of everyone there, and Mikey’s bright smile reflected how each of us was feeling. The bands theatrics drew me in and kept me entertained all night long. I did not want the show to end, I would’ve stayed in soldier field for weeks and listened to them play anything. MCR is the best band to ever exist and if you ever get the chance to see them live you absolutely should. Amazing music, kind and generous and empathetic people. Long Live the Black Parade

  • really good

  • Dream Come True

by GeishaNinja on 8/31/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I am an Elder Emo and have dreamed of going to see MCR live for forever. Kept missing them and missing them and then finally FINALLY got to see them in Chicago 8/29-25. AMAZING SHOW and it was honestly a dream come true. First set was (obviously) amazing, second set was mind-blowing, and then bringing out Billy for Bullets was just an insane way to end. MCR4EVR

  • Master class in performing

    by A. F. on 8/30/25MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

MCR was incredible! I waited almost two decades to see them live, and they were totally worth it. This concert was an absolute masterpiece. I wish everyone could watch this tour just to see how a concert should be.

  • Best concert

    by Lily T on 8/30/25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

MCR was absolutely amazing 👏 Our seats were great, Pixies were a perfect opening for MCR!

  • Long and awesome

by Ray on 8/28/25T-Mobile Park - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Longest concert I have been at by far and I loved it. Ridiculous wait for merchandise before even getting in and the concert was like almost 4 hours and included all the greatest hit plus a cello solo. So incredible and timeless memory

  • A brilliant spectacle

by DrRae on 8/27/25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This is a life changing show - visually beautiful and dramatic, musically overwhelming and beautiful and so rich with ideas, creativity and vision. The contrast between the main Long Live the Black Parade set with all its theatricality, political satire and psychodrama and the MCR B stage set of the band behind the costumes, joyful and affectionate, couldn’t be more satisfying for a fan of all aspects of this band. Miss it at your peril.

  • Theatrical, engaging and nostalgic

by Ghoulberry on 8/27/25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Best concert i’ve ever been to!!! Immersive theme and engaging performances. They honestly sound just as good live as they do in recordings!! The practical effects were very exciting too!

  • Life changing experience

by Jo on 8/26/25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

To my surprise this concert was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. I feel I healed something that therapy can’t reach. I am really glad that I got to live this experience, amazing show, amazing people, amazing music. This band is the closest I’ve ever been to call myself a fan.

  • Absolutely AMAZING!!

by melt on 8/26/25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I first saw MCR 18 years ago, I was 13. This performance was surreal. Healed the inner child in me. They saved my life in more ways they will ever know. Long live ❤️

  • Best night of my life

by Hii on 8/26/25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was absolutely amazing. MCR has been my favourite band since I was in high school and seeing them live was a dream come true! The only con was this one security person in front of me who just wouldn’t stop moving around and was somehow constantly blocking my view (I’m like 5‘2). The other ones would just stand in place but not him.

  • Absolutely Incredible

by Emi from NC on 8/26/25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I drove 14 hours from North Carolina to Toronto for this concert, and it was everything I had imagined and more. MCR has been my favorite band since I was 11 years old, and this show fully encompassed every reason why I adore them. The storytelling MCR is known for, especially for a concept album as notorious as the Black Parade, was in full force and executed phenomenally. From propaganda imagery and cold war callbacks, to "state sanctioned audience participation", to pyrotechnics, to incredible character actors, this show is a love letter to performance art as a whole. And, as always, the band themselves were incredible. From Gerard Way's vocals which never fail to take my breath away live, to the incredible performances of Frank Iero and living legend Ray Toro on guitar, to the perfect bass lines from Mikey Way, and the passionate drumming of long-time "secret fifth member"Jarrod Alexander. I consider myself lucky to have seen what will no doubt be remembered as one of the most creative and fantastic touring shows of all time.

  • literally goated

by Ray Toros biggest glazer on 8/25/25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

it was so good they played black parade cover to cover (obviously) and they also played 4 danger days songs, 3 revenge songs, boy division off conventional weapons and kill all your friends (black parade b side) in my opinion as a fan for 5 years this was great!! i think the idea of having us vote chicken or fish on the signs was fun BUT…. giving a crowd of emo teenagers with black and red bedroom aesthetics a bright yellow and blue sign was a little devastating💔 still super fun tho!! and my only complaint about the venue was that from where i was sitting (section 515 in the rodger’s centre top bowl) was that it was so echoey i couldn’t hear what they were saying at times!! like i was getting knocked in the head with bass the whole show so i missed some of gerard’s bits but still very fun 10/10 would do it all over just to see ray toro shred his guitar again!! ok one last thing NO ENCORE???? GUYS COME ON PLEASEEEE!! i needed to hear vampire money live and i was praying that would be the encore but that’s cool… that’s fine….💔💔💔

  • AWESOME
