About

My Chemical Romance are a rock band composed of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Formed in 2001 in New Jersey, MCR have become highly influential for their blend of rock, pop-punk and emo music along with unflinchingly open lyrics and theatrical live performances. Beginning with 2002’s I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, MCR have released four studio albums, two live recordings and three compilations. The band unveiled their major label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, in 2004 behind their first charting singles, “I'm Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena” and “The Ghost of You.” In 2006, MCR’s third album The Black Parade reached a career-high No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “Welcome to the Black Parade” peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100. After touring 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, MCR did not perform together again until 2019, followed by a reunion world tour between 2022 and 2023. The band headlined Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival in 2024. In 2025, My Chemical Romance embarked on a tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their landmark third studio album, The Black Parade.

Probably the best show ive gone to this year. MCR absolutely killed it, true performers, played the album and some true classics too! Loved seeing Billy too!

  • Best concert I’ve ever been to!!!

This was a dream come true, the best concert I’ve ever been to!!

  • Absolutely awesome

by Dingo on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great show. Had a great time. 1st time in Soldier Field, a classic venue added to the classic show.

  • Best concert ever

by Party Poison on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was an absolute blast! Everyone i met was kind and down to earth. Only issue i really had was the venue themselves. They posted saying you could start lining up outside the venue starting at 10am. When I went to go look around the venue to make sure I was going to line up at the correct spot there were already people in line around 8am. Got back to the venue around 9:45am to find out people starting lining up at 6am if not sooner. Why bother saying you cant start lining up until 10am if you're not going to actually enforce it? Other than that the concert itself was a blast! First time ever seeing My chemical romance preform live! 1000/10 for the band

  • MCR Killed it! Soldier Field not so much

by Erica on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

MCR put on a fantastic show! Soldier Field however had room for improvement. We were supposed to get signs for the concert for part of the show. However Soldier Field only passed out signs to some of the people. Anyone who didn't have floor seats didn't get signs. My friend and I were really bummed about it we were really excited about getting those signs. Gerad even noticed that not everyone got signs. Again the show was awesome but soldier field could definitely do better.

  • Great concert, but HORRIBLE venue!!

by Mel on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 1 out of 5

The concert itself was amazing. But Soldier Field was terrible! They did not hand out the signs like they were supposed to and our seating was obstructed. We were not that close to the stage so we relied on the screens to see intricate parts of the show, but the screens were obstructed! So we could not see the special moments of the show. I was very disappointed for the money I spent! I have been to a lot of concerts and so far this is the only venue I have been completely unsatisfied with!

  • Where is my Yay/Nay Sign?! :(

    by Lisette83 on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

The performers were amazing!! Sounds and pyrotechnics were great. We were promised signs to participate n the show but we never got them. Only 25% of the audience got them. Hundreds of people left disappointed. It would’ve been a great experience apart from not getting the signs.

  • Stay wear from covered club level seats at Soldier Field

by Soldier Field Covered Club Level is bad on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

My Chemical Romance and Devo were amazing, but unfortunately some rows are covered by the level 3 overhang and it makes for an unpleasant experience. It’s good for a game if looking at field, but the tv monitors across top block views of stage sitting and when standing for headliner we everyone does, it becomes obstructed view. I didn’t pay for obstructed view and it wasn’t advertised as that at all. Sound wasn’t as good underneath as it was 6 rows down.

  • Most w concert every

by Cindy on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Theatrical, exciting, engaging, and simply Jaw dropping

  • absolutely peak

    by KELLIN !! on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

the real gerard way came up to me and said mcr5 is real 10/10!!!! anyway the story and acting was SO GOOD and oh my god it was the best night of my life but we couldn’t see the stage bc we were on the floor😔

  • Wonderful BUT……

    by Mortal_Wombatz2420 on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

It was an awesome to see my favorite band playing, BUT I noticed that we were not handed YEA/NAY sign. It looked like a lot of people didn’t get them. Also the seats we had the speaker was pointed right at us and my husband now is having hearing issues.

  • 10/10 experience

by Hokage on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This entire concert was an amazing experience/performance MCR puts on a hell of a show! I had goosebumps throughout the entire set

  • Still crying

by Haley on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

MCR was one of the best concerts I’ve been to and I’ve been to sooooooooo many. I screamed and cried multiple times. Healed my teenage heart. Devo was shockingly good! As a 90s kid I had only heard whip it lol. The cherry on top was Smashing pumpkins playing. Wouldn’t change a thing. Seats were great. Stadium was clean.

  • AMAZING

by Pool boy at the vampire mansion on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

MCR has been my favorite band for most of my life. This was my second time seeing them and they did not disappoint. They are amazing live and the energy in the stadium was perfect. However wait lines for merch were extremely long, exclusive shirts could not be found, and the yea nay signs were not passed out when we were at the gates like they should have been, leading to a lot of people not receiving one which is a big part of the show. I heard that people were receiving them in stacks on the way out and now they are on eBay for big money. Regardless of that this show was perfect in every single way and I am on cloud nine 🖤

  • Amazing!

    by A.Y on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

To the disability staff, thank you for wheeling me around and finding us better seating without so many stairs. That meant a lot! The concert itself is going down in history and in our hearts. Such a fun experience

  • GOAT

by Maddy on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

MCR never disappoints. This was a must see, can’t miss, EPIC performance. 10/10.

  • Best show in years

by Saddpunk on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Mcr is just as amazing as i saw them 15 years ago! They really put on a show. Would love to see them again

  • Could not see from our seats

by James on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 1 out of 5

I paid $700 for platinum seats on the floor that you couldn’t see from. There was no obstructed view warning, yet the sound booth area was right in front of us. It wouldn’t have been bad but there was a huge canopy over the area that obstructed the view. You couldn’t even see the big screens on the side of the stage because there were signs in the way. There were lower level seats that were not sold because the were obstructed. We would have been able to see better from them.

  • AMAAZZIINNGGG

by Avery on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Seriously one of the best live shows i’ve ever seen. never in my life would i have expected to witness them live and they blew my mind. gerard still sounds the same as he did all those years ago and the rest of the guys all had amazing energy. i will say the venue was not good and seemed not prepared. me and my friend were told the wrong directions to our gate and it took forever to find where our section was, and it seemed like only the floor people got the yea/nay signs. still not sure if that was a part of the storyline/lore or the venue being unprepared but i was a little sad i didn’t get to take one home with me.

  • Fantastic

by KaylaCake on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show. They put on a whole theatrical performance, complete with all of the classic songs. Absolutely loved highly recommend
