About

My Chemical Romance are a rock band composed of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Formed in 2001 in New Jersey, MCR have become highly influential for their blend of rock, pop-punk and emo music along with unflinchingly open lyrics and theatrical live performances. Beginning with 2002’s I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, MCR have released four studio albums, two live recordings and three compilations. The band unveiled their major label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, in 2004 behind their first charting singles, “I'm Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena” and “The Ghost of You.” In 2006, MCR’s third album The Black Parade reached a career-high No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “Welcome to the Black Parade” peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100. After touring 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, MCR did not perform together again until 2019, followed by a reunion world tour between 2022 and 2023. The band headlined Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival in 2024. In 2025, My Chemical Romance embarked on a tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their landmark third studio album, The Black Parade.

  • The BEST concert I’ve ever been to

by Katlyn on 9/7/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This was, by far, the best concert I have ever been to! From the music to the theatrics to the sound and special effects, everything was absolutely amazing!

  • Just Amazing!

by Kristin on 9/4/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This show went above and beyond my expectations, MCR out on an electric show and the special guest was such a surprise and so cool it was just a great night. That being said, the venue is absolute garbage, Soldier Field sucks getting in and out of regardless of wether you drive or walk and then they have a clear bag policy and if you don’t have one, no worries, they will suggest using their lockers about 18 blocks away.

  • Absolutely Fantastic

by New MCR fan on 9/3/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I took my goddaughter to the show. I’ve never been to a show like this and unbelievable but what we do need is another show in New York City before the world tour. Please make this happen.

  • Long live The Black Parade

by Katrina on 9/2/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

MCR never disappoint, my third time seeing them and hopefully not the last

  • GUUUUHHHH

by Yakira on 9/2/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

When Billy came on, I screamed so hard I farted. Good thing the venue was outdoors. 11/10 show. Cried when I flew back home.

  • amazing and nostalgic!

by nikki on 9/2/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

show was phenomenal. it ticked all the boxes for me and I even got to hear a song live i had been super hoping for that wasn't consistently on the setlist. the performances were great but so was the acting and little skits they performed between songs, and nothing beats singing along to songs you grew up with with 50,000 other voices!

  • MCR wailed , soldier field staff however,,

by Isabelle on 9/2/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

It’s MCR. You already know the show was everything and MORE. Best show of my life and don’t genuinely know if I’ll ever go to one better. Billy Corgan made an appearance too!! Soldier field staff however did not pass almost all the top floors yea or nay signs for the voting ceremony. It may have been a small detail to them but it’s technically a piece of free merch that almost all of us missed out on.

  • MCR was amazing, Soldier Field not so much

by Tiffany on 9/2/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

The show that MCR put on was amazing, however the venue not handing out signs was a huge let down. This was a widely known part of the experience and the majority of Chicago fans were let down. The venue should also work with bands to provide better sound quality, as much of the show in the 200 section was muffled.

  • Best concert ever

by Alex on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to about a dozen concerts and MCR definitely takes the cake as the best one I've ever been to! The production and storytelling were amazing. Gerard's vocals live were immaculate. I just wish I could buy a digital copy of it so I can relive it

  • Amazing show!

by Spunky on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Show was amazing! My Chemical Romance never disappoints. The people working the venue were wonderful and kind. The sound however had too much reverb so hearing what the band was saying between songs was hard to understand because it sounded like they were saying the same thing twice. Leaving the stadium there weren’t many doors open so it was very congested and hard to actually leave.

  • Awesome band, bad venue/mixing

by michaela on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

I saw My Chemical Romance at Soldier field, and being there for the concert was absolutely amazing. The bands were both great, but I didn’t love the venue. The sound mixing was terrible. It was hard to understand the main singer, and certain parts of songs felt weird because an instrument would suddenly get really loud and then silent. Also, from my understanding there was supposed to be signs given out so you could vote during the show, but more then half of the sections didn’t receive any signs. It was only floor and pit, when usually it’s supposed to be the entire stadium. The lead singer even called out that we were “f’d on the signs”. That was a lack of preparation and distribution on Soldier Field’s part for sure. The food was extremely expensive, a bottle of water should not be 9 dollars. They also had hotdog and drink callers during the show with large flashlights and loud voices. I understand they were there to do a job, but it’s hard to listen to the music when someone is yelling “hotdogs!” and walking up and down the aisle while flashing a light in your eyes. They also blocked the view multiple times. I’ve never been to a concert that had food callers out and about, and it was definitely not enjoyable. Overall, the venue experience could be largely improved, but the artists were definitely the highlight.

  • Once In A Lifetime Experience

by Kaitlin on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

MCR puts on an absolutely incredible show every single time. This was the best concert I have ever been to! 🤘🏻I cannot wait to see them again! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

  • Great Show, Bad Venue

by Ash on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

The show was AMAZING and me and the person I went with had a blast when MCR came out to preform. However, the venue staff seemed unprepared for the event, kept sending us to different gate numbers (and a gate that didnt exist). We didnt get the signs for audience participation and the seats we got were obstructed by the concrete overhang from the upper floors. The tickets I, and many other people bought around the section, did NOT say obstructed view and I wouldn't have bought the tickets I did if they were labeled as obstructed. While we could see the stage well enough, the screens on the side of the stage were unlocked by the concrete overhang and the items on the stage as well. Great show, but the venue handled it poorly.

  • Amazing night

by Bufu on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This was the fastest and smoothest entry to a venue ever Typical outrageous prices but nothing we weren't expecting Only issue we had was the lines for the bathrooms and the merch

  • AMAZING!

    by rostowf2 on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

MCR delivered...is so many ways I can't even explain! Thank you!

  • Can’t see or hear, just feel

by Your Ripped Jeans on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

I bought floor level seats, section B5. Tickets were $400 each for an obstructed view. I knew I probably wouldn’t get a good glimpse of the main stage because I’m 5’6”, but I wasn’t counting on also having the sound engineering stage also blocking my view! The sound was terrible as well, it was very hard to hear the singers, especially when they were talking to the crowd. I was let down by my experience, to be honest. However, just being able to experience MCR in person singing their most iconic album salvaged the night. P.S. the merch lines were ridiculously long, unorganized and placed in awkward locations.

  • MCR amazing! Soldier Field a hot mess.

by Anonymous on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

Soldier Field was deeply unorganized. They wouldn’t let us in at the gate we were told to go through, one office told me I had to put my bag in a locker (despite it meeting their qualifications) & they messed up the yea / nah signs mad bad! MCR was top tier. I would go see this show again if I could!

  • Loved MCR

by LisaG on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the show ❤️. The only complaint was Soldier Field is way too expensive. 2 beers and 2 shots shouldn't be 79.00 . Definitely eat and drink before you enter. MY Chemical Romance was brilliant though. Chicago was beautiful.

  • No words!

by MikeyMayhem on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

The ticket purchase process was a bit frustrating, but all of that doesn’t matter because the experience was the best music experience I have had (playing or spectating). There was never a question of whether or not my wife and I were going, it was only where are we going to get seats. Our seats were amazing by the way. We were some of the few (thousand) that receive the Yea or Nay signs, not sure if it was on purpose or an oversight by the venue staff. I don’t know what else to say other than the light of Christ entered my heart that night (iykyk).

  • Great Show, Not so great venue...

by Hailey on 9/1/25Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

My Chemical Romance put on an amazing show (as usual) but Soldier Field was quite disorganized. Venue staff couldn't point people into directions of lockers, ADA, or even guest services. Technology used to scan tickets didn't work well and caused a back-log of anxious people trying to get to their desired spot in the General Admission area. I am happy with how they treated the GA line morning of. More venues should take example from that. We felt protected by the staff.
