About

My Chemical Romance are a rock band composed of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Formed in 2001 in New Jersey, MCR have become highly influential for their blend of rock, pop-punk and emo music along with unflinchingly open lyrics and theatrical live performances. Beginning with 2002’s I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, MCR have released four studio albums, two live recordings and three compilations. The band unveiled their major label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, in 2004 behind their first charting singles, “I'm Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena” and “The Ghost of You.” In 2006, MCR’s third album The Black Parade reached a career-high No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “Welcome to the Black Parade” peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100. After touring 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, MCR did not perform together again until 2019, followed by a reunion world tour between 2022 and 2023. The band headlined Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival in 2024. In 2025, My Chemical Romance embarked on a tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their landmark third studio album, The Black Parade.

  • Horrible venue

by CatwomanCaitlin on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 4 out of 5

The concert itself was AMAZING! My chemical romance is one of my favorite bands and each time I see them it gets better. The venue however…..an absolute NIGHTMARE. The time for early merch was moved MULTIPLE times, most people, including myself and my partner, were out waiting since 8 am. There was no line structure for merch when it opened so those of us who were waiting got rushed by people in the back of the line and couldn’t get anything of what we wanted. There were also no limits on the show exclusive merch. When asking if I could purchase the display of the exclusive shirt that was still hanging, the girl selling merch laughed at me. But why is it still up if it’s apparently sold out? What’s so hard about selling the display? I’ve purchased displays at many concerts before. Many of us passed out from heat exhaustion due to waiting all day and needed medical attention. The “safe” crew that the venue had were a joke! They were talking poorly about us fans waiting and making fun of us getting sick the entire time. When waiting with EMTs while my partner was getting medical attention a random man began cursing me out and began threatening me so when I spoke back to him I WAS THE ONE who was getting threatened to be removed from the site and banned from the concert. Not the man who was threatening harm on me. This venue and their staff are an absolute joke. I wonder if they treat everyone who comes to the football stadium this poorly or if it’s just concerts?

  • Excellent Times in Tampa Bay, California

by Bex on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely excellent! An unforgettable night; MCR always sets the bar and I do so look forward to the next one! Long Live The Black Parade!

  • Great show - Merch stands need help

by Ani on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 4 out of 5

MCR was incredible 10/10 best show I've ever been to! HOWEVER, the communication from staff regarding merch lines and the organization reading the merch stands were horrendous. I missed all of Evanescence because I tried to sneak out to the merch tent and there was a line from the table that led down the hall. After waiting for 35 minutes, another concert goer walked by, merch bag in hand and told my husband, "if you go in the middle there, you'll get through way faster. There's no reason to stand in the line."We didn't move at first but the people in front of us did. After 20 min I saw there leaving the booth, merch in hand so my husband went and within 10 min had our merch but Evanescence was already done. Either add more booths or figure out how to manage the lines and line cutters. That was a complete and utter mess!!!!! I'd rate it lower but MCR was so good that I do not want to add this tainted review to their name!!

  • LITERALLY A DREAM COME TRUE

by Nat <3 on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

This was a one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime experience. To say that this was my dream would be reducing it to so little. This was everything and more. To be able to scream your heart out and still not be able to hear yourself shows how much people resonate with the music, with the band.

  • Best to ever do it!

by Ely on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

My first concert went great like I knew it would because mcr never fails! I loved every second of it and the theatrics were beyond amazing, you can really see the effort and work put into this. The unity with the crowd was beyond comforting like it was one big party. I loved it! Can't wait to catch them again at another concert!!!!

  • MCR was awesome to see live!

by FamousKillJoy on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 4 out of 5

Seeing a band you’ve grown up listening to and hearing those sung in person is a surreal moment. I enjoyed every second of it and can’t wait to see them again. My only complaint with the venue is how everything sounded when MCR was playing. I know the acoustics in a stadium is difficult and a science to nail down but there were some song that they played that make the music sound like it was going through a tunnel, a bunch of noise that comes together that didn’t mesh well, the singer at times either sounds way to high or low, the same goes for the guitarist. When Eveancance performed as their opener there was no problem at all with them sound or the singer singing. Everything was just right. It was only with a handful of songs that MCR performed that gave that issue. I’m sure it could of been where I sitting (floor access, seated row F near the tent) could be the issue. I’m sure those who were in the pit sounded fine and possible the same for those in seated areas. I overheard people near where I saw seated saying the same thing so I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the only one who thought the same. That’s honestly my only issue but other than that everything was great! Maybe have more areas for the merch to be sold 😋

  • Long Live the Black Parade

    by Chris77 on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing story telling concert by Gerard and the band! Audience participation included! The songs performed just like they're straight off the album! It was definitely an experience we will remember!

  • Life Changing!!

by Newer Older Fan on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

Best concert I have ever been to. Blew my mind. Still on a high from it and honestly feel like I’m a different person because of it. Just so so good. MCR is the GOAT.

  • Amazing

by Shy on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

An amazing show I’m so glad they’re touring again!

  • The band was great however…

by Nic on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 3 out of 5

The band was amazing however the person in front of me messed up my whole experienced due to the fact they kept screaming and jumping and running around that’s sad but the band was good but I wish I could have just listened to the band.

  • BEST. CONCERT. EVER

by Liz on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

Such a great experience. I loved everything about this show and even in the FL heat it was amazing.

  • Transcendental

by Chelle on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

I am a changed person after the concert Literally it was life changing mind altering

  • Amazing Show

by Dani! on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

Evanescence and My Chemical Romance both performed amazing! Loved the show!

  • Fantastic Concert, Good Security

by Hayley on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 4 out of 5

Security was very strict here, couldn't have anything bigger than a clutch bag even if it was clear, and no chains allowed. I also watched a security guard ask a young lady if she needed her cane and if she was disabled which I thought was a bit much. Other than that the concert was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was incredible, the performance was so so good and so worth the trip. I loved the opening so much!! I felt so bad because I hadn't listened to the bitter truth from evanescence so I didn't know a lot of the songs and I think that was true for quite a few people, but I still really enjoyed the music even if I didn't know the words to sing along! It was also super hot that day so I think a lot of people needed to sit down during the performance when we first came in. Drinks were expensive. Food was expensive. Merch was expensive and the lines were ridiculous. But to be expected with such a big concert. The drinks though. No free water, bottled water 8 dollars a bottle!!! Crazy. Over 20 bucks for a frozen cocktail as well. Not sure how much they were because I didn't buy one but seriously??? Almost 30 dollars for an alcoholic slushie? Genuinely crazy. We were coming from Ireland so maybe it's just like that over here in the states, but seriously. Wow. Overall had a great time though. Performances 5/5 (SO GOOD!!!) Security 3/5 (overzealous) Food and drinks 1/5 (expensive!!) Stadium 5/5 (pretty easy to navigate tbh though I'm not sure what the disability access is like)

  • Amazing Concert Experience

by Carly P on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible concert experience. Venue was awesome and Evanescence and MCR were incredible performers. Purchasing tickets was a breeze and I will definitely use Ticketmaster again!

  • Absolutely Amazing!

by Holly Lucas on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to! So theatrical but also getting a point across. I wish I could have went to more shows on this tour! I kind of seen MCR in concert before a couple of years ago, but it wasn’t an ideal situation at the time for me personally and the event I was at. I almost got to see Evanescence in concert but it was canceled due to COVID. So it was a life long dream come true to see both of them in concert! I’ve been a fan seen the beginning. The venue was very accommodating for ADA, except for the transportation issues to and from the Stadium.

  • View and Merch Management

by Devon on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 2 out of 5

No one should ever have to miss an opener in an attempt (failed attempt!) to get merch. The view in section 139 was also terrible.

  • Black Parade With A Bang

by Lauran on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

Really was one of the best shows I’ve been too in years and I’ve been to Beyoncé, lady Gaga… etc. MCR really knows how to grab their audience and show them why they have been supporting them for all these years. If they go on tour again I will 1000% be in attendance.

  • Amazing show!

    by Musicfan0981 on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

Aside from there being massive confusion when it came time to get in line to get into the venue, the concert was amazing! Evanescence was fantastic and MCR rocked the house! Fantastic show!

  • Breathtaking

by Abs on 9/16/25Raymond James Stadium - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

From start to finish, these guys don’t ever disappoint. They always find a way to surprise their fans, and they are the most down to earth people. Forever thankful I get to be in the same timeline as My Chemical Romance. The theatrical A Stage to the tiny intimate B Stage, they always know how to put in a good show. One of the best nights of my life, love these guys so much and I hope I get to experience this again and again!
