About

My Chemical Romance are a rock band composed of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Formed in 2001 in New Jersey, MCR have become highly influential for their blend of rock, pop-punk and emo music along with unflinchingly open lyrics and theatrical live performances. Beginning with 2002’s I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, MCR have released four studio albums, two live recordings and three compilations. The band unveiled their major label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, in 2004 behind their first charting singles, “I'm Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena” and “The Ghost of You.” In 2006, MCR’s third album The Black Parade reached a career-high No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “Welcome to the Black Parade” peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100. After touring 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, MCR did not perform together again until 2019, followed by a reunion world tour between 2022 and 2023. The band headlined Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival in 2024. In 2025, My Chemical Romance embarked on a tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their landmark third studio album, The Black Parade.

Phenomenal show! Alice cooper still rocking it. And MCR was on point! Best concert ever. And I’ve been to a lot. You could tell they had fun up there with the whole stadium singing there lyrics.

  • Wow wow wow

by SarahE on 8/18/25Citizens Bank Park - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

Best show I’ve even been to, and I’ve been to a lot of shows!!! So theatrical. They sounded so good. The production was insane. I could do it 100 more times. Can’t wait to see them again !!

  • Come on come all to this… SPECTACULAR affair

by Vanessa on 8/18/25Citizens Bank Park - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

The My Chemical Romance show at Citizens Bank Park was absolutely amazing. The band sounded incredible live and brought so much energy to every song. You could tell they were just as into it as the crowd was. The theatrics were next level. The whole stage setup was wild, and the fireworks and pyrotechnics took things to a whole new place. I’ve never seen anything quite like it at a concert before. They kicked off the night with a full hour-long performance of The Black Parade from start to finish, and it was everything you’d hope for. After that, there was a 15-minute cello intermission (which was actually really cool and dramatic), then they came back for a stripped-down 10-song set on the B-stage. The mix of big production and intimate moments was perfect. If you get the chance to see them on this tour, do it. It's an experience you won’t forget!

  • The show was amazing, the venue sucked

by Manuela on 8/18/25Citizens Bank Park - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

The venue didn't even have the decency of lowering the safety nets for baseball games before the show started, blocking most of the view.

  • Amazing

by Greg on 8/18/25Citizens Bank Park - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

This was probably the best show I've been to in my adult life. It was so exciting, theatrical, and well planned. I hope they have another tour soon

  • Everything i dreamed of

by Kat on 8/18/25Citizens Bank Park - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

The show was amazing and visuals were great! Never thought I'd get to go to this show so I'm insanely happy with it in general. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is how sometimes the sound wasn't well balanced and the yae/nae signs weren't well organized

  • Freaking AMAZING!!

by ShanB on 8/18/25Citizens Bank Park - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

Wow - amazing show! From Alice Cooper opening, to the theatrics of their Black Parade set, and a special Cameo from the Philly Phanatic - it was an absolutely FANTASTIC show.

  • A Full Moon night to remember 🖤

by Vic on 8/16/25MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

Getting to see MCR for the 2nd time (saw them the reunion tour in 2022), and getting to see/hear “the black parade” in its entirety was truly a magnificent experience!!! There was more than just music, there’s a story and acting and a ton of pyrotechnics!!! The band also received the key to their hometown from New Jersey and I was so proud to witness that. From thinking the Full Moon was a special effect to bowls of spaghetti….: I’m forever a fan; which I already knew but, their hometown show was one to remember. 🥺😭🖤

  • Lest take it back

by GT Maximus on 8/15/25MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing experience just a nostalgia from start to end and on top of that they got the key of their home town city.

  • Jersey pride

by GammaIvy on 8/15/25MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to Met Life on a few occasions, most recently the Eras tour. This blew it out of the water (though to be fair, I'm a Killjoy before a Swifty). The event staff were very helpful and knowledgeable (but keeping an eye on who is actually GOING to the show to buy merch so people don't walk off with all of the city specific shirts...might want to work on that). The show itself was the best I've been to, and I've been to several NJ shows for MCR. The production was bar none some of the best I've seen, the boys were on fire (um, literally in some cases), and they were welcome home like the heroes they were. 10/10, no notes.

  • fantastic! give me more!

  • AMAZING SUPERIOR FUN THRILLING

by Mere on 8/14/25MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

Best band of all time. Had such a thoughtful production and the band even utilized a smaller stage to connect with their fans on a more personal level.

  • Incredible Experience

by Am on 8/14/25MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

Such a fun show and the band really delivered. So great to see a hometown shown with so many fans screaming their songs. The production was great and having the mix of the show of The Black Parade with the other songs at the B stage was perfect.

  • Perfect in every way!
