My Chemical Romance are a rock band composed of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Formed in 2001 in New Jersey, MCR have become highly influential for their blend of rock, pop-punk and emo music along with unflinchingly open lyrics and theatrical live performances. Beginning with 2002’s I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, MCR have released four studio albums, two live recordings and three compilations. The band unveiled their major label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, in 2004 behind their first charting singles, “I'm Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena” and “The Ghost of You.” In 2006, MCR’s third album The Black Parade reached a career-high No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “Welcome to the Black Parade” peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100. After touring 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, MCR did not perform together again until 2019, followed by a reunion world tour between 2022 and 2023. The band headlined Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival in 2024. In 2025, My Chemical Romance embarked on a tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their landmark third studio album, The Black Parade.

I bought tickets to MCR for my daughters and they loved it. The concert with all the bands were four hours long.WOW!!!!
This concert was my fisrt concert but it was amazing!!! ADTR was really good with the crowd and MCR was amazing!!! Jerard was amazing and MCR got an encore. EPIC show and amazing first concert!!! :D
MCR is by far my favorite band and they were everything I could imagine live. Hands down, best band live. The Way brothers can def perform. Gerard is a stellar singer and can keep the crowd entertianed. His voice was incredible as well. All around great show that I would have paid double to see.
This show was great from begining to the end. Thank you 96.5 the Buzz for one hell of a Christmas Show!!!
I knew going through the doors that it would be a great concert. My Chemical Romance stepped onto the stage to the roar of the crowd. They immediately broke in with Na Na Na, and the crowd was captured right away and didn't give up until the last song was sung. Gerard Way knows how to play to the crowd. He played up the sexiness well, causing quite a few screams from the crowd; encouraged the guys to take off their shirts (which is funny since it's usually the girls throwing clothes on stage). The band sounded excellent through the entire concert. One thing that I realized when I uploaded pictures on my computer, in the background of one picture behind Mikey and Frank there was pictures of the band members children. That right their won my heart even more! You won't be disappointed! Although I wish they had played longer than 75 minutes. I think the whole crowd could have gone all night.
MCR is back!!!! I've been a fan since the Begining and they get better an better everytime. The new record is amazing and the guys are so full of energy. Can't wait to see them aging first in England and then back here in April. Amazing as always :-)
It's been a while since MCR have toured. It seemed like the world was just starting to forget about them... Then came DANGER DAYS! The new CD goes straight back to the band's punk roots, and it didn't seem that anyone at Roseland Ballroom on December 3rd had a problem with that! Gerard Way, dressed entirely in black with candy apple-red hair, stalked back and forth across the stage, pumping his fist as he and bandmates Ray, Mikey, Frank, and Michael delivered an energy-infused set of new and old songs. The guys are just as passionate about what they do as they were when their first album came out, and they shared that passion with every single person in the room who sung, screamed, and danced along with them. They're playing a few shows at Terminal 5 in April - NOT TO BE MISSED!
This was an amazing concert... The lead up bands, especially Gaslight Anthem, were good solid bands, though with a different feel and sounds to MCR - but when MCR came on, they were totally forgotten! The guys always exude and intimacy that is pretty amazing, both with the audience and with each other... but in a space like this it would doubly powerful... Gerard is in top form as a vocalist, and the instrumentals by Ray, Frankie and Mikey are outstanding. The guys seem determined to have fun, and this shows even on a tune from Black Parade like Mama (sent out to 'all our parents' - of which I was one that night!) There is nothing vicious or mean spirited about the way MCR tears things up, this is communicated and displayed also by the crowd. There was a mother with probably a 5 year old kid in a baby doll dress in the crowd, as well as tattooed and pierced flesh aplently. The guys seem in fine form, and though this was not technically part of the World Contamination tour, it gave enough of a preview to make me VERY GLAD I have tickets for 4/22 at Terminal 5 in NYC... if I could get tickets for the 3 other dates here in the Tri-State you can believe I would be there too - MCR is on a roll - not to be missed!
MCR put on a great show but they only played an hour. The new cd sounds great and I cant wait for thir next show
This was their second show back (they played a private show a few days before this) on the East Coast since Madison Square in 2008. They never disappoint. Phenomenal band.
Haven't seen them live in over two years!! They were so full of energy and just killing it. The new CD is amazing to perform. Seeing them twice again next year already and I'm sure more then that!
absolutely wonderful. i still wish they played some other older songs but still, ammmmazing. i love my chemical romance with all of my heart, and i always have, and i always will. they truly are my inspiration. i keep going in my life because they keep going with theres.
MCR blew me away...they played a tight set. The view from behind the sound board was good, and definitely beat fighting the throngs of 14 year old emo girls up front.
My Chemical Romance did a great job performing at Roseland Ballroom. I would go back and see them agian.
For as long as I can remember, My Chemical Romance has captured my heart, and this show was no different. It had been around 2.5 years since I had last seen them and they did not disapoint. The energy was amazing - the boys always give their all! It was a 7 hour drive to the venue and it was definitely worth it. Words cannot describe the happiness I feel at a My Chem show. The songs were fantastic and a great mix of the good old ones and the new ones. I can't wait until I get to see them next and I HIGHLY reccomend their shows to anyone. They are amazing and truly save lives.
Basically, MCR was so awesome, but the opening acts took so long, I was very tired by the time my boys got on stage. It would have been perfect if they had gotten on stage earlier.
Great show!!!! Can't wait for the tour to start!!!
MCR was simply AMAZING! Great mix of songs, with some from their great new album as well as favorites from previous ones. The band's energy was just wonderful, I loved it all!
December 3, 2010 will forever be engraved in my memory. I go to shows all the time, it is a hobby of mine. So when I saw that My Chemical Romance was doing a homecoming show, I knew I had to go. It has been almost four years since I saw them and to say the least, I was overly excited for this show. My Chemical Romance did not disappoint. They played an incredible set. It was energetic, it was loud, it was colorful, it was MCR at their best yet. Dr. Deathdefying (Steve Righ from Mindless Self Indulgence) kicked off the show with a live performance of "Look Alive, Sunshine" and everyone in Roseland Ballroom freaked out, starting the show off right. From then on, it was action packed and intense. They played a good mix of songs off of "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge", "The Black Parade" and "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys". I would have loved to hear a song or two off of "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" but I can't complain. Overall, this show was incredible and your could tell that the band was happy to be home. If you haven't had the chance to see My Chemical Romance live, I suggest you do so. They are a powerhouse band that plays spectacular music. They sound just as good live as they do on their cds and they are always looking for ways to improve. They are an ever evolving band with endless limitations.
how do you really review a concert. you either like the music or you dont, the band either brings it or doesnt, my chemical romance brought it, so did gas light anthem, the first band the rxp house band, wow, really bad, my ears hurt after their first few songs, didnt expect so many teens and parental chaperone's at the show,
