About

Mudvayne are a heavy metal band from Peoria, Illinois. Formed in 1996, the band drew headlines for their cinematic presentation, sporting ghoulish face paint that later evolved into alien masks. In 2000, Mudvayne released their debut album L.D. 50 featuring the lead single “Dig.” The song’s frenetic and circus-like music video won the inaugural fan-voted MTV2 award at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, with Mudvayne infamously accepting their trophies in white suits and bleeding bullet hole makeup. The band’s second album The End of All Things to Come (2002) drew acclaim from MTV and Entertainment Weekly, as the “alt-metal extraterrestrials” became one of the staples of 2000s-era metal, selling over 6 million albums worldwide and touring with Slipknot, Sevendust, Slayer and Metallica. Mudvayne would go on hiatus in 2010, reuniting in 2022 to tour with Rob Zombie, Static-X and Powerman 5000 on the Freaks on Parade tour.

    Great seeing amazing bands

    by Thomas on 8/22/23

I’m so glad they booked a tour where all 5 bands fit each other so well. The show was unstop moving of pure happiness for so many people. I love the outdoor shows and being outdoors made it feel like mini festival. Also so glad I finally got to see coal chamber.

    Mudvayne

    by Lex on 8/22/23

I didn't get my swag bag although I paid for it. They gave no instructions on where to get it. I had VIP and I went to the VIP line and asked for my merchandise and was told then, that it was at the main gate. I went and nothing, no one was there and I asked where are they the staff said they had gone. Thanks!

    Amazing First Ever Concert

    by Cole on 8/22/23

Great first concert experience. Going into the concert I wasn't sure what to expect. GWAR being part of the line up is what caused me to purchase tickets the most do to their theatrics. The other bands didn't disappoint either. Great performances put on by all. Great atmosphere for sure. Definitely wouldn't mind going to another Mudvayne show, definitely want to get myself a spot up front and in the pit next time >:]

    by JB96 on 8/22/23

Been 20 years since I saw Mudvayne. They didn't disappoint. Enjoyed all the bands, and everything ran smoothly at the show. Easy entry, and exit. Would go see these bands again in the future.

    Amazing

    by Emokid1969 on 8/22/23

Mudvayne put on a spectacular performance. Having grown up listening to them, it was a dream to see them live. Chad’s vocals are amazing and just as good as I remember from being a kid. Would definitely see them again. I also love how vulnerable Chad is sharing his mental health experience with the crowd and making us all feel like we belong.

    Be Fair

    by Jay on 8/22/23

The show was awesome, but because they let all lawn ticket purchases move into seating areas without any additional charges & with no one overseeing seating areas; it's only fair we (regular purchased seating tickets) get a refund to match lawn pricing.

Cherry Bombs were fun, GWAR was hilarious and awesome, Coal Chamber sounded great, Nonpoint put on a great show, and Mudvayne seemed to be energized to play a hometown show in the biggest venue in their hometown.

    WHY?!?

    by KLMONE on 8/20/23

This should have been an AMAZING concert. Then, they moved venues! This was supposed to be at Ak Chin Pavilion, but 2 days before the concert, they changed venues to Arizona Financial Theater. 20k seat to 5k seat venue. The reserved seats we bought turned into General Admission and was now first come first serve. If you bought lawn seats, you had the same seats as everyone. Fortunately, the friend we go to a TON of concerts together with was able to get off early and get in line. We go here so often, we know exactly which seats we like. He went straight there and snagged them for us! The concert started on time with The Butcher Babies. They came on hard, but then their equipment failed, and kept failing! The girls were abel to hold it together and somehow pull off a great set! Next up was Nonpoint. They Killed it! flawless set! Out next was GWAR. Should have been a good set, but their equipment didn't work at all. Teh stage show was kind if cheezy, and out of date. Coal Chamber came out next, and they knocked it out of the park with a great set. Opened up strong and carried the momentum through their set. Mudvayne closed out the show with a strong opening as well. Chad engaged the crowd and got people on their feet right away. Then, after going into the set, the volume got out of hand as we were unable to hear the sound clearly. You could figure out the songs, but that's about it. I get the venue change, lol, but my friend got a text from ticket master during Nonpoint that the venue changed. Sure hope no one was waiting for that text!! Best thing, got a selfie with Shannon Gunz, one of my favorite SeruisXM DJ's!

So glad mudvayne is back..hoping foe new stuff. But in the mean time..the show was great..they sounded on point all the way through..with added guitarist who did some good backing vocals..and Ryan martines on stage presence...the show was only strenghtend with Chad's vocals..and inspiring words.
