I hesitated to buy tickets for a tribute band that you might occasionally can see for free, but I needed a Rock-N-Roll "fix" and decided to get tickets early so that I could get decent seats. I was NOT disappointed! I can no longer afford the cost of concert tickets, so I have relied on tribute bands to make up for this. Mr. Speed delivered exactly what they promised! It was amazing to be close to the stage and witness what looked and sounded like the real thing.. without the unruly crowd. Goodyear Theater was a smaller but intimate venue. Drink lines were not unreasonable. Parking was close, but the doors on Goodyear Blvd. were locked, so we had to walk around to the west side of the building to get in while the temperatures were nearing the single digits.
This group does not disappoint! All the Kiss concert measurables were hit! Class act !
Loved the whole nighr but did not catch ghe name of the warm up band?
These guys never disappoint. I finally got to here “Not for the Innocent “ live! Just wish these guys came around more than once a year. The best tribute band I’ve ever seen.
If you like Kiss go see Mr. Speed. Great bunch of guys who really rock!
Mr. Speed was voted the Best KISS Tribute Band in the world. If you go to a show, you can see why. First, Night Prowler opened with their hour long AC/DC Tribute set. High energy, high voltage, good vocals. It was a solid set, for sure. Mr. Speed is definitely a great stand-in for the real thing, from the opening "You Wanted the Best, You Got the Best" to the final confetti flying with "Rock and Roll All Nite," they hit all of the Paul mannerisms and crowd interactions, classic Gene, Ace, and Peter concert Solo performances, and truly bring the high energy of a true KISS show. When they say they are going to bring it, they bring it. When they say they are going to give you 100%, they give you 100%. And when they say they give a shit about the audience, there is no denying it. This was a great $13 show on a Friday night. The House of Blues was packed for the hometown show, and if I catch wind of a return date, I am going to check them out again. Look for Mr. Speed at the Rally in the Alley in Medina, Ohio this summer...I am sure they will be on the docket, and it is worth a trip to see them. If you like KISS, a Mr. Speed show is a must see. If you do not know anything about KISS, a Mr. Speed show is a must see. If you don't like KISS, well, I can't help that kind of nonsense...go play your Justin Bieber mp3s, there is no hope for you.
We went not knowing what to expect..it was amazing..they looked acted and sang like kiss..we had a blast..diffently will see them again!!
Mr speed is an amazing replication of KISS! High energy and fun!
Me and my sister saw this band for the very first time on Saturday, September 19. I had never heard of this band because I had never known there were tribute bands for my favorite bands. But after getting tickets from the Highway to Hell AC/DC tribute concert, we had to go. I was blown away! These guys not only sounded like Kiss, but they looked like Kiss in every single detail, right down to Rich Kosak looking and sounding EXACTLY like Paul Stanley. If you're a Kiss fan, this is THE band to see!!!! As a Kiss fan, I would highly recommend this band. They put on one heck of a show. And the guys are so nice. They were getting pictures with the fans. Amazing!!
Even the Mega KISS fans enjoyed the show. The ending was amazing with the confetti drop!
Seen Mr Speed Many Times. They Put on a Destroyer Show To our City!!! Love you Guys.. Mike Pam Jordan Feltner!!!!!!!! Come Back!!!
Mr. Speed was absolutely amazing!!! It was like we were at an actual Kiss concert. No wonder out of 200 bands they were chosen as the #1 Kiss tribute band. Excellent show and had a great time.
Best of the best of KISS tributes and tribute bands in general.
Enjoyed the show so much! Was like watching a real Kiss concert except the stage was smaller of course. Could have easily watched them for another hour or two, but unfortunately they had to stop playing at a certain time so had to cut some songs from their set. I wanted to stand up and dance, but everyone was sitting down - that ticked me off.
had seen mr speed at ralley in the alley, wanted to see them again. those guys do an awesome job really enjoy the act. I am 55 years old and never really followed Kiss much but after seeing these guys my wife and I both will go see them again. Also the Civic Theater is a beautiful old theater really enjoyed seeing it. Got to meet Tim & Christi that was nice as well {she is really sharp} Had a great time Thanks Alot Steve & Robin
Very well done! Other than the time constraints which limited the performance of about 4 more songs, the show was very good! I wanted to see them perform Mr. Speed off of Rock and Roll Over album, but I think they didn't get a chance. I will catch them again!
They look and sound like the Kiss concert I went to years ago. A must see.
It was awesome...the concert was fun and loud. Everything a rock concert should be. Had a great time.
