    Breathtaking show

by Airline Guy on 3/3/20Al Hirschfeld Theatre - New York

I heard great things about Moulin Rouge but never expected the phenomenal sensation we saw that night. The show is loud, smart, brash, funny and brilliant. The theater has been transformed into the Moulin Rouge club in a spectacular way. The company was outstanding, especially Karen Olivo and Danny Burstein. I loved it and give it my highest recommendation. Get your tickets, now!

A little pricy but it was awesome!

by Kelly on 3/2/20Al Hirschfeld Theatre - New York

My friend and i got an middle orchestra seat at the end (the last row right next to the door). To be honest, it was pricy for the seat. We really wanted to sit where we can see better but that cost more than $300. Our seats weren't the best since people keep coming in and out throught the door (even the cast members). Also, the staff who checks the ticket and audiences was sitting right next to me. He was breathing so loud that i could hear it all the time lol One thing he bothered me was that someone in my row was looking at his phone and all of sudden, he used his flash light and said "off". That surprised me since I I didn't know that he was using his phone and also that hindered me from focusing on the musical. I don't wanna get that seat again and if I was in another seat, it would've been so much better but also, it's too expensive. The theater was so gorgeous. It's an old pretty theater. The bartender was very nice and friendly. The musical was one of the best! Yes, the ticket was expensive but for the musical, it was worth it. They had lots of performances with a lot going on. I just couldn't stop watching the stage. Karen Olivo who acted as Satine was very impressice and so good! Overall, this was an awesome musical! I would recommend this to all my family and friends!

    First Broadway show

by Runner1974 on 3/1/20Al Hirschfeld Theatre - New York

I took my wife a d her daughter to the show. It was so much. The theater was a little smaller then I thought BUT that was a GREAT THING. It was like the show was just for us. The tickets we got were easily scanned at the door. The overall experience was great. We will be coming back.

    Highly overrated as a show!

by Greg E on 2/29/20Al Hirschfeld Theatre - New York

Sadly, I wasn’t sure what to expect, other than I am seeing the pictures of the house of the theater and knew that it would be an experience. But sadly… It didn’t go beyond that point for me or ... until the last actual 10 minutes of the script. I found it quite boring. I usually hold that as a responsibility of the creative team, ultimately to be the director ... If the director had actual power to request script changes (which I have no idea of knowing). The talent/cast was high caliber. And I saw Mr. Tveit’s replacement who was also quite good. But the problem lies within the script and the direction. Whenever the leads was integrated during scenes with the ensemble, there was no camaraderie. When friends will ask me, I will certainly be honest about my opinion? “Each should go and make up his/her own mind. Any show is what one goes into the theatre and what they have experienced when they leave.

    Wonderful Show

by N. G. on 2/29/20Al Hirschfeld Theatre - New York

Everything was fantastic from walking into the theater and being immediately immersed in the Moulin Rouge to the very last note of all the perfectly chosen music. It had everything; excitement, love, sadness, a real roller coaster of emotions

    Enjoyed the show

by APY-NY on 2/28/20Al Hirschfeld Theatre - New York

I sat on the 5th to the last row in the theater, seats were good. We were able to view the entire stage well. The show was colorful, entertaining and at times touching. The highlight for me was the music. The sound track of the show was a mix of current and past song hits that made many want to get up sing. The actors did a great job and were very engaging.

    THE BEST EROTICA BURLESQUE

    by B. R. on 2/28/20

I saw this play in NYC last night and it mesmerized me all night. I felt as though I was sitting in a Parisian cafe watching a show or dancing in a show. I loved the show and the sensuality, burlesque and erotica were tasteful and fab! Kudos to a Latina played by the major character Satine. She is gorgeous and talented. Kudos to having a curvy woman dancing seductively in the show. Thank you Broadway for a racially inclusive show with supreme performing and music.

    Moulin rouge play

by Kathy on 2/25/20Al Hirschfeld Theatre - New York

Play was amazing. Ioved it.!! Our seats were mezzanine row A at right end facing stage. Said partial view when booked. Looked on chart. Maybe part of balcony railing in way i figured. Not so bad seats were 99$. Get there and there is a giant elephant's head and long trunk in our eyeline. Not expecting that. Do not book these seats. !!

    Awesome

by A. G. on 2/25/20Al Hirschfeld Theatre - New York

Had to pick my tickets up at the box office which went smoothly. Fantastic theatre. Life size windmills and decorated like Moulin Rouge. While waiting for the show to begin characters from the show moved about on stage to keep you entertained. My seat was orchestra right row b seat 10 even though I could not see the the right balcony were cast went once in the performance this was fine as everything else was visible. Cast are fantastic and very professional. It was lovely to see past artists and costume designers from My Fair Lady. If you do one show this is a must. Excellent evening

Great evening, great show, great cast. Ashley Loren was a great stand-in for Satine and overall since when we saw it in preview we could tell the overall show is not settled in and even more spectacular spectacular ! And thanks for Aaron Tveit for being so nice to fans right after the show.

    Wonderful Show

by Joanne on 2/24/20Al Hirschfeld Theatre - New York

I've been to many musicals over the years and Moulin Rouge rates as one of my favorites. The music is new and up to date, as well as keeping songs from the Movie. The set was beautiful, recreating the windmill and Elephant. Choreography was amazing!!! I downloaded the soundtrack and listened to it twice the following day, could not get enough. I will definitely be seeing this a second time.

    Lively, fun - refreshing

by J. L. on 2/24/20Al Hirschfeld Theatre - New York

Fantastic venue, with everyone close to the actors. The show starts 20 minutes before the official curtain call. There were many of the key characters being played by the understudies, but we had to look that factoid up after the show because they were just so fantastic, from acting to singing. We had been to 2 other shows on Broadway during this trip, and the quality of acting and singing was the best overall performance - great team work! You leave the show refreshed; probably due to the fantastic ending that brings everyone, including the audience into the show. Kudos

    Raucously Entertaining

by P. P. on 2/24/20Al Hirschfeld Theatre - New York

When you walk into the theatre the stage is set with illuminated red letters: Moulin Rouge with sexy shapely women and alluring men but it’s the women who engage you immediately. I loved everything about this play. The music, dance, costumes and most specifically it exuded sexuality and sensuous sensations. 5 stars to Bawdiness!!!!!!
