About

Motionless in White are a gothic and horror-themed metalcore band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. After forming in 2005, the group began to break out with the release of their third album, Reincarnate (2014), which charted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and featured artists such as Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth and Tim Skold of Marilyn Manson and KMFDM. Lead vocalist Chris Motionless has noted drawing inspiration from bands like Slipknot, Cradle of Filth and AFI, who helped inspire the sonic soundscape of albums like Graveyard Shift (2017) and Disguise (2019), the latter of which produced the band’s first single to go gold, “Another Life.” Motionless in White have released two EPs and six studio albums, including 2022’s critically acclaimed Scoring the End of the World — embarking on sold-out tours with everyone from Korn to Slipknot.

I've seen these guys 5 times and every show is great. This energy from this show was the best one I've seen all year, in fact in years. If you want to see MIW... Do it! I can't wait to see them again!

Amazing show! Great bands and Motionless In White are always a pleasure to see! They have really put a lot into making their stage show more theatrical than usual and it was awesome to see! Well done!

All the bands did a great job, but Motionless In White was phenomenal. Best Halloween I have ever had!

  • by ImMotionless49 on 11/3/15Crocodile Rock - AllentownRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was great. It was a lot longer of a night then I expected so I was starting to die down buy the time Motionless came to preform. But I still enjoyed it! The only reason I didnt give the concert full 5 stars was mainly because the venue. The Venue was slightly disgusting. Stuff leaking from the roof and so dusty and musty in the room.

  • Awesome concert!!

By far best concert I have been to yet. Motionless In White put on a great show was my first time seeing them and it was great!!!

  • Best Halloween Show Ever

by Melsuk on 11/3/15Crocodile Rock - AllentownRating: 5 out of 5

Motionless in White and Halloween go together well anyway, but when its a homecoming show of sorts (as MIW are from Scranton) it's even better. The venue is small compared to others that MIW have been playing of late so the 'up close and personal' factor was cool. The show, concentrating on older material, was certainly geared towards 'old school' MIW fans which was for me another big bonus.

  • Incredible show

I loved it, definitely worth it. All of the bands who played were excellent.

The Motionless In White concert on Friday night in Pittsburgh was one I will never forget. They know how to put on a show with their incredible energy and vocals. The Halloween theme and costumes were an awesome addition to the show experience! I would definitely go see one of their shows again.

The venue was great (although I would have preferred seating for us tired parents) - Motionless In White had a great set & show! We had a great time, especially during the sound check, meet & greet we did prior to the show. Can't wait to see what 2016 has in store for the Band.

  • Best Motionless Show I've Seen

by JMLeahy on 10/20/15The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Motionless in White live probably 7 or 8 times now. This was absolutely their best show. Great set list - creepy costumes on stage - and performance art that was cheeky enough that it didn't take itself SO seriously but still in the vein of what they sang about. I wish I could re-live this night over and over and over.

  • Best way to start off a tour!

    by glh1995 on 10/20/15The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Great lineup, and it was awesome to be the first stop on the ApolloXTour. And it was Chris' birthday so it was amazing as a fan to be able to share that with him. Headbanged, sang my heart out. They really put on a memorable show , with their Halloween scene and pumpkin king and mike myers dressups. Definitely will see them every time they come to town!!!

Carly lovedddddddddd this show.......She was happy to be in the video

  • Excellent Show. The crowd was really into it.

    by ElectricFuneral65 on 3/31/15Irving Plaza - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

MIW was really good.Sold out show and we were not disappointed. Chris does an excellent job of interacting with the crowd and keeps the show moving along with no long breaks. I would have liked a few more songs from their previous Albums, because I think they played around 10 from Reincarnate out of the 16 songs. The meet & greet needs to be organized better. They said we MUST be there no later then 2:30 for the sound check,Q&A and photos. We got on line at 1:45 PM and they did not let anyone in until a little after 4:PM. Then after the meet & greet ended at around 5:15 PM we had to go back outside and wait in line again for the doors to open. It is probably not the band's fault and hopefully they can make it work better next time.

  • motionless in white was awsome

  • Pleasantly surprised

    by Melville13 on 3/31/15Irving Plaza - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

First time at Irving Plaza. Sold out show but it wasn't horrifically crowded. Great sound, good views, and excellent bands. I'm a 45 year old concert goer with my older teens and I throughly enjoy all types of rock music! Huge FOR TODAY and Miw Fans and both bands put on an unforgettable show. My only complaint was doors were late, we froze and missed first two Ice nine songs :(

  • Ice Nine Kills was incredible!

by SpencerDad on 3/31/15Irving Plaza - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Listen, Motionless in White is a great group, and I wish them well. But for me the entire concert was about Spencer Charnas and the group Ice Nine Kills. (INK"). Spencer is the most charismatic heavy metal performer I have ever seen. On "Me, Myself and Hyde", his throaty, powerful singing of the crisp, brilliant lyrics made the audience convulse with raw emotion. The way he moves on stage is reminiscent of Mick Jagger before he became eligible for Medicare. This kid is destined for greatness, there is no doubt about it. But maybe the best thing about Spencer is how he treats his fans. He spent a few quality moments with every single fan lined up to talk to him after the concert. He was also wonderful to his family and friends -18 in all- who came to the show in NYC. I should know-I'm his Dad!
