About

Motionless in White are a gothic and horror-themed metalcore band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. After forming in 2005, the group began to break out with the release of their third album, Reincarnate (2014), which charted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and featured artists such as Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth and Tim Skold of Marilyn Manson and KMFDM. Lead vocalist Chris Motionless has noted drawing inspiration from bands like Slipknot, Cradle of Filth and AFI, who helped inspire the sonic soundscape of albums like Graveyard Shift (2017) and Disguise (2019), the latter of which produced the band’s first single to go gold, “Another Life.” Motionless in White have released two EPs and six studio albums, including 2022’s critically acclaimed Scoring the End of the World — embarking on sold-out tours with everyone from Korn to Slipknot.

The energy of this entire show was amazing! MIW played their hometown and it was insane. The crowd, the bands, etc just a great concert experience. I'm still living it in my mind.

  • Cellphones are ruining concerts!!!

by Spider on 9/13/22The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 4 out of 5

The music was great and Ice Nine Kills stage antics were hilarious. I can't give it 5 stars because people are ruining these concerts by constantly holding their phones above their heads to record entire songs and it's blocking the views of others behind them. Something needs to be done about this!

  • Awesome Show!

by edyryn on 9/13/22The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best shows I've been to so far and i have to say everything went so smooth. Despite how crowded it was traffic was a breeze, security and ticket control was a breeze, and the lines for drinks, food, and bathrooms went fast.

Ice nine kills was amazing and so was motionless in white until they played “voices” and dedicated that song to everyone in the lqbtq community. Just play music, I didn’t pay you to hear your woke garbage.

  • One of the best shows I’ve been to in a while

by Tara on 9/13/22The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

The vibes were absolutely amazing! Almost everyone was very respectful of others space and were pretty friendly. The crowd and the bands were super interactive with each other. Motionless in white killed the home town hero aspect and we’re so incredibly thankful to the crowd.

Miw is absolutely the best band ever, and this show solidified that. Amazing.

  • Incredible show! Horrible parking experience!

by D on 9/12/22The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 4 out of 5

The show was everything I could have ever dreamed of and more. It was incredible. I sat in the parking lot for close to two hours waiting to get out. When I arrived, I pulled into a row to find a parking spot and the row was full, but I couldn’t even turn at the end of the row and had to do a convoluted multipoint turn just to go find somewhere to park. Bathroom line wasn’t long, seating and staff were great. Other than the merch line being so obscenely long I didn’t even TRY to wait in it and not being able to actually leave the venue for hours after the show ended, it was a good experience!

  • Breathtaking

by Killswitch on 9/12/22The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

An absolutely amazing and breathtaking performance by all of the bands. It was awesome to see MIW in their hometown and how emotional it was for them. We are local as well, so it was extra special. This was a night I'll never forget.

  • Kick ass

by JO on 9/12/22The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

Such an amazing experience ! Okay very lively show. Would defiantly see them again. Venue was nice. However, there could have been more organization. Like those with pit passes should have had another entrance to make the wrist banding process easier.

  • Awesome show

by Gingersnap66 on 9/12/22The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

Every band in this tour was absolutely amazing!! Non-stop from start to finish. Sounded fantastic! Great with the fans and so entertaining. I still don’t have a voice!

  • Amazing show, iffy fan experience

by Pat on 9/12/22The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 4 out of 5

The show was amazing but the merch line was out of control. I missed the entire opening act b/c there was only 1 merch booth and the line was well over an hour long. I was one of the first people through security too.

  • Awesome!!! Wish it never ended!

by Kristin on 9/12/22The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

The Trinity of Terror Tour was amazing. Ice Nine Kills, Motionless in White, Black Veil Brides and We Came as Romans all blew it up!!! I cant wait to see them perform again especially INK. Chris Motionless was very emotional being in his hometown, playing on the main stage of the location that he used to watch concerts at before he became who he is today. All the performers were gracious and thanked everyone for comimg out. It was an awesome experience!

  • Had a great time!

by Lys on 9/12/22The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

ALL of the bands were much better than expected. MiW was my favourite of course - they definitely delivered an amazing show. INK was really great as well. I was not as familiar with BVB, so I wasn't necessarily expecting much from their portion of the evening, but I'm still really suprised at how much I enjoyed it! Even WCaR did a great job opening. I can't really remember the last show I've been to where I really got in to every band's performance. Also, Hometown Show for Motionless - I'm really happy to have been able to be included in that special moment! The only downsides are those which I'm pretty sure didn't have anything to do with the bands and everything to do with the venue. Gate stations/ process to get in was haphazard and confusing. MM could also stand to invest in some signage. Nothing but the bars were labelled, and there was not enough staff to direct 6,000 people when nothing was marked out. A simple "line for ___ starts here" would've saved everybody a lot of hassle. Also, finding out the venue is cashless less than 12 hours before the show started really put a wrench in a few of our plans.
