About

Motionless in White are a gothic and horror-themed metalcore band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. After forming in 2005, the group began to break out with the release of their third album, Reincarnate (2014), which charted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and featured artists such as Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth and Tim Skold of Marilyn Manson and KMFDM. Lead vocalist Chris Motionless has noted drawing inspiration from bands like Slipknot, Cradle of Filth and AFI, who helped inspire the sonic soundscape of albums like Graveyard Shift (2017) and Disguise (2019), the latter of which produced the band’s first single to go gold, “Another Life.” Motionless in White have released two EPs and six studio albums, including 2022’s critically acclaimed Scoring the End of the World — embarking on sold-out tours with everyone from Korn to Slipknot.

  • Absolutely epic!

by Katey on 9/19/23The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

This band means so much to me. It was an experience of a lifetime to see them perform in their hometown. Great lineup all day and they kept things rolling with little downtime in between. A couple of glitches before/during MIW set but they handled it amazingly. I will be back to Montage to support this band any time i can!

  • Greatest production ive seen

by ZachK on 9/19/23The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

It was motionlesses largest production and a long show so I was expecting some road bumps, but it went about as smoothly as I could've hoped. There were some things that simply couldn't be helped, like the lines for food and merch. Most of us were there the entire day so yea we got hungry lol. Almost everyone was extremely nice and patient with us annoying fans lol. Great job.

  • Awesome Show

The Scranton Apocalypse Fest was awesome and I had a lot of fun there with my family. All the bands were amazing and Motionless in White did a fantastic job hosting their first festival. If there is more festivals in the future, I definitely will be attending.

  • BEST SHOW I HAVE SEEN

by Emomamma1975 on 9/19/23The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to a lot of shows in my 48 year and motionless in white is one of the best bands live. Still have no voice from Scranton apocalypse festival, but I would do it all again on a heartbeat. 💜💜💜

  • Venue SUCKS, Bands were good

by Jen on 9/19/23The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 1 out of 5

Montage is the absolute worst venue, unless your goal is to get blackout drunk. There are probably 30 stands selling alcohol only, and maybe 4 with non-alcoholic drinks. I stood in line for over an hour for an $8 lemonade because of the length of the line. If I wanted vodka in the lemonade, I would have been through a line in 3 minutes. I know, because I got in one of those lines to try to get a lemonade with no vodka added for my daughter. They wouldn't sell me just a lemonade. If you want merch, prepare to spend 3 hours in line, unless you wait until the headliner is playing to shop.

  • Best Festival EVER!

by Shelly Marie on 9/19/23The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

Honestly, was such a great experience being in the pit! I loved getting to see Motionless in White up close and personal! The rest of the bands were also extremely incredible!

  • Good

by Smith on 9/19/23The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 4 out of 5

The performances were good. just the venue, being cashless and alil over priced. I understand price increases and getting the people to be at the stands to serve all of us. If it was more balanced with prices this would be a 5 star review.

  • Great concert

by Jake the snake on 9/19/23The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

I had a really good time. All the bands performed very well and the staff at the venue were all very nice and respectful.

  • Great show, but 1 problem

by Em on 9/19/23The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 4 out of 5

One of my all time favorite venues and the show was great! My only complaint, the merch line. I waited in the merchandise line for an hour and a half because there was no organization and lines were merging into each other. I missed the first 2 bands waiting for tshirts. Really disappointed.

  • Motionless was amazing!

by DarkMox on 9/19/23The Pavilion at Montage Mountain - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

Hopefully they do this again next year! Would definitely attend. Hopefully next time it's bigger and closer to the way Mayhem Festival was. More vendors with different merch and meet and greet with the bands would be awesome as well. But over all it was an awesome time.

  • Phenomenal

by Miss Bee on 8/25/23Rating: 4 out of 5

This was an amazing show! From Ashes to started it with a bang followed by Fit For. King & In This Moment.

  • Great Show and Venue

by Tony on 8/23/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The venue was run extremely professionally. They sent out emails in advance with directions and suggestions. Once in the venue it was very well laid out, and then the fun began. The sound and lighting were excellent. We have seen In This Moment and Motionless in White multiple times. This was one of the best experiences.

  • AMAZING!

by Eternally Yours on 8/22/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I had the best time at the Dark Horizon tour. MIW had an awesome set. I saw them last year in the Trinity of Terror and the show was so good. Effects, costumes, Dancrrs but the DHT they had a much more intimate set. Playing mew songs like sign of life and older ones like Necessary evil and headache. I especially love Chris saying that he loved the Corbin, KY venue and wanted to keep showing love to smaller venues that are often neglected. I can't wait to see them again. MIW never disappoints!

  • Always great

Hands down one of the best concerts I've ever attended! Performance was amazing, music was on point, audience inclusion, everything. Could not be happier with Motionless in White, and the other bands on the Dark Horizon Tour.
