About the Monster X Tour
The spectacle of motocross meets the brute force of monster truck mayhem in the Monster X Tour, where some of the most famous monster trucks perform stunts and compete against each other for the coveted Monster X Championship. Since 2009, such legendary names in monster trucks as Traxxas X-Maxx, Equalizer, Red Solo Truck, and the one that started it all, Bigfoot, have entertained in stadiums and arenas throughout the United States and the world for the Monster X Tour. Motocross bikers, demolition derbies, and other sideshows complete the program, contributing to a memorable night for all spectators. Monster X Tour events have taken place mainly in the Western US and worldwide, with a show in Hawaii in 2019 and occasional shows nationwide.
Monster X Tour History
Monster trucks first became popular in the late '70s and early '80s with the arrival of Bigfoot, a souped-up Ford F-250 modified by Bob Chandler. After making public appearances at tractor pulls and county fairs, Bigfoot began the monster truck tradition of crushing automobiles in 1981, establishing the iconography of an entire sport and becoming part of American popular culture. The Monster X Tour first began in 2009 and immediately established credibility with the presence of both Bigfoot Racing and Straight Up Racing. Traxxas RC racing sponsored the tour from 2016 to 2018, first as the Traxxas Monster Truck Destruction Tour, and then as the Traxxas Monster Truck Tour.
Monster X events feature several monster truck competitions, including wheelie contests, races and freestyle competitions, which allow these giant machines to do such incredible stunts as hill jumps and even backflips. The tour culminates each year with the Monster X Tour World Finals. In 2019, Ty Cornelius Jr. rode Paul Breaud's Traxxas X-Maxx truck to victory, winning the Monster X Tour championship with an average finishing score of 41.83 points out of a maximum 50.
Great moto n trucks familly friendly everyone love it will go again
The drivers did not appear too experienced. Two trucks broke down, the bench seats were very uncomfortable, half the crown got up and left 30 min into it because itâs was just sad and boring.
The trucks were neat as usual, but they didn't do much. The 4 wheelers are fun but not what you mainly come to see. I think maybe its just to small of a venue. Wouldn't waste the money to go again.
Not very many trucks at all and flow of show was very inconsistent. Best part of the show was the ATV races.
Fun for a kid seeing for first time. Over all a let down. Only 4 out of 5 trucks were able to compete. Very short. No exciting tricks. Over priced for the event. My son had fun but said he would rather watch a YouTube highlight video than go again.
The show was alright, but it left a lot to be desired. Especially for the price of the tickets, I expected it to be better. At times it felt like it dragged and my nephews (target audience) weren't all that enthused - compared to Monster Jam when they were last here. Sadly, I wouldn't attent Monster X again. In fact, when we left the arena, my nephews asked if I could get them Monster Jam tickets next time instead.
It was done on the concrete floor and not the dirt showed on the videos so this affected the performance and it was diveded in two "halfs" with two contests each in which not all the trucks participated.
Being a first time user of Ticketmaster I must say, "it was GREAT"! Easy to purchase, transfer, and enter event. I know now how I'll be purchasing tickets. Not to mention Monster Trucks was awesome!!! They need to come back and give us more. Like racing, or long jumps, or mud stuff, like old times.
Need to see it for yourself! An event made to entertain the entire âOhana. We will definitely be waiting for Monster X to return!
We were so excited we bought tickets as soon as they went on sale. It was to be a one day event then they added a second day. So my family and I felt because there was another show the first day that we went to, the drivers held back a lot. The best part was the dirt bike exhibition, Double Trouble doing a backflip (only one that did) and one other truck that just kind of went crazy on the course. Oh and the 12 year old in the mini monster truck but other then that nothing much happen. Out of 13 trucks only 1 backflip, Hardly any big air a lot of driving over the obstacles rather that jumping them. In fact when the last truck did his freestyle and finished everyone was waiting cause he pretty much rode around the course, when he parked everyone around us was like, thatâs it?Heard the second day was good, but after my experience probably wonât buy again if they come back, not worth it.
We really enjoyed this show that you put on for all of us here in Hawaii. I think that the next show should be on Friday & Saturday night I feel that there will be another huge turnout once again. Look forward to you enjoying another epic show here in the islands soon again Mahalo and Aloha!
It was an awesome show but the stadium is very old. Prices for food and drinks is ridiculous.
We went to the first show on Saturday for something here at home. It was really good! Loved the idea of the pit party pass. Which we purchased and went to. Other than the long line to get in everything was good. Wish we got tickets for Sunday night. Would definitely go again!
Awesome show! My kids really enjoyed it! We also got the pit party passes, I wasnât expecting bounce houses and what not for the pit party but that was a total plus! my kids were burnt out by the time we got home. Lol. Win! I look forward to more events from Monsterx!
Monster X Tour of monster trucks was awesome. My son enjoyed it and we all had a great time. Wished the track was bigger so the trucks could get more air time like higher jumps and more tricks. Souvenirs were pricey and the concession emptied our wallets.
Mahalo Monster X Tour for bringing monster trucks back to Hawaii! Me and my family loved every minute of it! Love you Double Trouble ;)
My kids amd and I enjoyed the Show. Kids were so excited to see the Monster Trucks. The roar of their engines unforgettable. Hope they come back to Hawaii soon.
Excellent show for the kids and I enjoyed it too. I would watch it again next year.
My 4 year old son loved it. Amazing machines doing incredible things.
Its was so awesome! Love it so much, I feel like i was cheering and enjoying it more than my childern did! Please come back every year dont wait 20 years to come back again!
