About

MOE. IN CONCERT:

When it comes to taking risks on stage, few bands lay it all on the line like beloved jam rockers moe. Whether they're tackling fan favorites like "Plane Crash" or whipping up a creative cover of Paul Simon's "Late in the Evening", moe. remain rigorously dedicated to live improvisation and experimentation, delivering their sets with a sense of humor and showmanship that make them one of the most entertaining acts in the business. Festival favorites who've played Bonnaroo five times and counting, moe. continue to deliver the jams on their fun-filled tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Moe. was formed by a group of University of Buffalo students who got together in 1989 to perform at a friend's Halloween party. They continued to play together over the next several years, and in 1992 they released their debut album Fatboy. The band's impressive live shows helped establish them in the New York region, and by the time their 1994 sophomore album Headseed was released the members had all quit their day jobs and relocated to Albany to focus on the project full-time.  The band continued to release solid albums, and by the '00s they were appearing to adoring throngs at Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo, where their 2002 set earned them a Jammy Award (the jam band equivalent of a Grammy). Moe. released their 11th studio album No Guts, No Glory! in 2014, and they continue to create plenty of on-the-fly magic on their unforgettable tours.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"This was an incredible performance by a group of extremely talented musicians. They seemed passionate about giving a great show to their fans and played a very long set that never had a dull moment."

"Typical moe., Tons of Energy, Awesome Jams and the Buddha was there with full on horns to compliment the songs.

"moe. never disappoints. Cookin Songs. Heavy Jammin'. This is all you need to know."

  • moe.down was sick!

by MikeTintheHouse on 9/8/09Snow Ridge Ski Area - TurinRating: 5 out of 5

moe.down was sick! This was my first moe show and I'm hooked. The music lights and sound was awesome. All the bands were great. Very well organized. Had awesome neighbors at the camp site. Best Labor day weekend I've ever had. I will definitely be going next year. Bring your own food and drink though to save money.

  • Moe and all the other artists rocked out hard.

by JimBintheplacetobe on 9/8/09Snow Ridge Ski Area - TurinRating: 5 out of 5

A perfect mix of cultures, ages, and activity. The music was unforgettable. The people were friendly, playful, and inviting. Perfect.

  • NOT a bad band in the bunch!

The Moe.down experience is nothing to mess around with. They are so chilled out and the line up of bands are amazing and so diverse I think that was the best part of the whole festival and a seller for getting my boyfriend to go. The camp grounds were great and everyone there was so relaxed. CAKE was amazing and I went and listened to the band The London Souls from NYC and I am going to go see them all the time now that I live in NYC and know about them! I will be returning next year and can't wait. great weather great company/camping buddies great music great food JUST EFFING GREAT!

good music, even better show and cake rocked the house as well!!

  • Good tunes

by Frig on 9/7/09Snow Ridge Ski Area - TurinRating: 3 out of 5

Good tunes. Could have been some more bands I would really be interested in. Good for what it was, but too many 14yr olds camping on eachother and doing as many drugs as they could in a three day period.

  • 2 Days of Moe & Ratdog

    by Friz8hu on 8/12/09Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

2 wonderful days of great music with Moe and Ratdog. There were lots of Moe-rons and Deadheads mingling and having a great time at a great outdoor venue. Plenty of sunshine and cold beer. Staff was pretty cool and let everyone get there groove on. There was a nice mellow shakedown street going on outside the concert. Moe rocked and had Bobby sit in on the last few tunes. Then Ratdog had one of the guys from Moe sit in the next night for the last few tunes. Bobby seam to be playing with the crowd by forgetting how some songs started. Then just flat out forgetting verses as the crowd sang thru them. Couldnt ask for a better time of course unless the beer was free.

First time seeing Moe. live, listened to very little music before show but loved the concert, very entertaining.

  • Moe totally rocked!!!!!

by sparx93 on 7/29/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton BeachRating: 5 out of 5

The shows were absolutly amazing. I was there for both nights 7/25 and 7/26. It's also the first time that I had been to the Casino Ballroom at Hampton Beach, it's one of the coolest venues I've ever been to. Both nights moe played incredible sets. They did like three encores, and brought the house down. I would recommend a moe show to anyone, you deffinatly won't be disappointed.

  • Moe. was great but, the sound wasn't right level .

by Sussman on 7/29/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Moe. played two great sets both nights but, the 1st night the soundboard was off. It was too quiet and that changed the whole dynamic of there sound. 2nd night sound was closer to normal and they were great. I've seen moe. since 2000 and have never seen a bad show ! Can't say that about any other jam band!!!

  • Great show/Great venue

by RoniE on 7/29/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Moe. put on a great show with many of my favorite songs. The Casino Ballroom is a very nice place to see a show. There is plenty of dancing room and easy access to beverages and the bathroom.

by MoselDave on 7/27/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Just amazing work by all 5 members. Last show of the summer tour and they really gave it their all playing close to 3.5 hours. For the price of their tickets I do not believe there in comparable entertainment value anywhere.

I attended both the Saturday and Sunday shows at the Hampton beach Casino Ballroom and both shows were amazing. Moe played all the songs i wanted to hear and them some. There were no repeats between the two shows and i was thoroughly content.
