Modern Alibi is a high-energy alt rock band from Charlotte, NC, founded by musician and songwriter, Holden Scott. The band has been quickly making a name for itself in NC where it has been playing to sold-out crowds in Charlotte and surrounding areas. The lineup includes Holden Scott (rhythm guitar/lead singer), Josh King (bass), Christian Sturt (drums), and Carter Ritz (lead guitar). The 4-piece indie rock band delivers a heavy vibe tempered by grooving bass lines, modern drumbeats, vintage guitar tones, and a uniquely rich and rhythmic vocal tone. Its sound has been described as a cross between the Arctic Monkeys and twenty one pilots. Modern Alibi�s Instagram has been catching the eyes of many new followers and popular artists where they introduce original music and showcase highlights of their live performances. In 2023 the band was named Best New Band in Charlotte by Queen City Nerve, Charlotte's alt newspaper. In 2024 the band performed at the inaugural Lovin� Life Festival and the main stage at the Charlotte Pride Festival, a 2-day festival with attendance of over 260K. The band released 3 singles in 2023 and its debut EP, "M/A Extended Play," in March �24. In Oct �24, the band supported Friday Pilots Club in Charlotte and The Criticals in NYC, DC, Atlanta, Nashville, and Chicago, then headlined a NYE show at Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte. On April 4, 2025, the band released their 1st full 12-song album titled "American Radio".

    Modern Alibi is an upcoming alternative rock type band from Charlotte. They are very good and already perform on a fun level, and their music which you can check out on any of the streaming services is great! The drummer is very energetic and personable. The lead singer is good as well and so are the guitarists. They’re young and this is your chance to see them while they are still in small venues as of 2015. Check them out, you will like them. Their music is so good. I’m older and have seen a lot, these are exciting young performers. I’ll see them as often as I can. Very fun! I also like Maneskin, Jack White, Green Day, Linkin Park, Arctic Monkeys, twenty one pilots, Cage the Elephant, Peter McPoland, etc etc so if you like rock they do it well!
